"Very satisfied with the hotel, though a little pricey! It's close to the subway and attractions, very convenient. I used the treadmill in the gym; I can't stand eating Western food every day!"

"The InterContinental Barcelona provided an excellent overall experience. Its convenient location made getting around and visiting attractions very easy. The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable bedding, good soundproofing, and plenty of natural light. The service was professional and attentive; both the concierge and front desk staff were responsive and paid attention to details. Breakfast offered a rich selection and consistent quality. The rooftop terrace had a superb view, perfect for enjoying cityscapes and relaxing with a drink. The hotel's public areas were grandly designed, and the cleanliness and maintenance lived up to InterContinental standards. It's suitable for both leisure and business stays, and I would highly recommend it."

"Excellent location! Everything you need is close by. There's a large shopping mall just around the corner and a huge supermarket downstairs where you can buy anything from food to souvenirs and daily necessities. Right opposite the hotel, there's a Kebab shop that always has a long line, and for good reason – it's delicious, affordable, and offers generous portions! A little further down the road, you'll find a local market that's also great value for money. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel that takes you directly to the beach, and just a block away, another bus stop goes to the upscale district and the old town. If you walk towards the art museum fountain, the scenery is beautiful all the way, and a sunset stroll there is truly relaxing."

"Our first impression was how clean and well-maintained everything was—from the front desk to the small lounge area, the room, and the bathroom. The bed deserves a special mention—it was exceptionally comfortable, and we had a truly restful sleep. The bathroom, while compact, was dry, hygienic, and well-kept. The shower had strong water pressure and consistently hot water, which we really appreciated. The room also had a heating function in the air conditioner, making our stay warm and pleasant. We were also warmly welcomed by the staff. Although the lady who helped us with check-in and the gentleman at check-out didn’t speak much English, they were both very kind and had such friendly smiles. It made us feel genuinely welcome and comfortable throughout our stay."

"The apartment's location is fantastic; most major attractions are within a 2-3 kilometer walking distance. The surrounding amenities are comprehensive, and the room itself is quite spacious. You can even buy groceries downstairs and cook your own meals, just remember that supermarkets are closed on Sundays 😂. We had an early morning flight, and the front desk kindly arranged a taxi for us in the early hours – much appreciated! 🙏 PS: Barcelona's public transport, including bikes, isn't cheap, so be prepared for a lot of walking if you choose that option. Overall, this is a great apartment! 👍🏻👍🏻"

"Very convenient location - near to 2 metro stations and a few other bus stops. Incredible service - greeted and helped us with the luggage as soon as the uber arrived, even before we entered the hotel lobby. Pool was a little too small so I didn't use it, gym was small and the the maximum barbell was 10kg but the cable machine was really useful. No reservations required for the facilities so that's a plus."

"My first trip to Spain, and I stayed two nights in Barcelona. This hotel is simply wonderful; both the exterior and interior are stylish. Each floor has a water dispenser with chilled, room temperature, and sparkling water, which was very convenient. I was also pleased with the strong airflow of the hairdryer and the good water pressure in the shower. The breakfast was fantastic, with a wide variety of vegetables, including cold carrot soup and soybean soup, delicious omelets, and excellent cured ham. The bread selection was extensive, from sweet pastries to focaccia and croissant sandwiches, all delicious. The cheesecake, in particular, was outstanding. Coincidentally, my daughter's birthday fell on our second night. When we returned to our room from sightseeing, we were surprised with a message card, a cake, and a crown present! It was incredibly touching. I would definitely want to stay here again on my next trip to Spain."

Hhxm.trxvxlOur best stay in Spain. The staffs were all friendly. I only managed to catch a few people’s names like Anass, Raquel, Sebastian but everyone (front desk, concierge, housekeeping, breakfast staffs) in the hotel made us feel very welcome and comfortable. For example, Sebastian offered a pair of scissors without us even asking when he saw us repacking our luggage at the lobby. Everyday we went out and returned, everyone would greet us. We truly felt the warm welcome and friendliness of the Spanish through them. Very glad to book this hotel even though the hotel may be slightly more expensive than other hotels in Barcelona. Housekeeping seems to be done twice daily too (they will leave us chocolates on our bed every evening which is extremely sweet of them). Housekeeping team also sprayed fragrance on our little pillows which we brought with us on the trip (no other hotels have done so for us into past). One more thing to add is that the showers in the hotel are full glass so it lacks privacy. We did not know this beforehand but only upon our check in. Anass and team assisted us the next day to stick privacy film to make us more comfortable. A pity is that the Michelin starred restaurant located in the hotel is closed from Sunday to Tuesday, so we could not get to try it. The breakfast is the same every morning too but it was alright. We would definitely return to the hotel if we are in Barcelona again. Gracias Team Ohla Barcelona! 100/100

GGuest UserThe room was quite spacious; my friend and I had no problem opening up both our suitcases. The water pressure in the bathroom was excellent, making showers and hair washing quite comfortable. The location is pretty good too – a bit far from the subway but there's a bus stop right outside. It's super convenient for getting to Casa Milà, Casa Batlló, and Sagrada Família. The area feels safe, with plenty of food and drink options nearby. The staff were very friendly and spoke English fluently, so communication was a breeze. However, there were a few issues. Firstly, there was no shower curtain for the bathtub, so the bathroom floor was soaked every time we showered, and it got quite chilly after a while. Secondly, the duvet didn't have a proper cover; instead, two sheets were used above and below it, and all three layers were tucked in so tightly under the mattress by the staff that we had to struggle to pull the duvet out every night. We ended up asking the front desk not to make our beds for the rest of our stay. Though, I hear this duvet cover situation might be common in Europe. Lastly, the soundproofing was really poor. We were lucky our neighbors weren't too noisy, and my friend and I aren't particularly sensitive to sound, but you could honestly hear every little thing happening next door. All in all, it was a mixed bag, but for the price and location, we couldn't really expect much more.

TTravelBrujaOnix Fira seems like a junior hotel in that it has a great deal of potential, but consistently falls short and seems to be having some crisis of identity and growing pains as a hotel. TLDR: I would not stay here again at the rate I paid at booking. It is a decent hotel, but one should only pay $105-$120/night for what it offers. Here’s what’s going right for it: - very clean facilities and room - located across from a mall that also has a grocery store , which is great for grabbing anything you forgot to pack or raw veggies - a nice 2nd floor reading area - a nice rooftop terrace for doing yoga if you bring a mat I have 3 years of experience working for major brand hotels. Here’s where I think Onix Fira can stand to improve: - greeting guests at reception (did a guest have a long journey? Express curiosity, compassion and enthusiasm for the effort they’ve already made. No one wants to be on a 14 hour flight and be received by someone in a bad mood who looks like they have better things to do). - common sense fixes: a) put hooks on the bathroom doors so guests can hang wet towels, b) have a soap dish for your soap, c) the consequence of imitation stainless steel buttons for the toilet.. they leave fingerprint stains that look gross, d) have a blanket or bedspread available in the room and not just the top sheet even though it’s hot out, e) add hair dryers in bathroom, f) have a complimentary bottle of water ready for guests when they enter tthieir room, especially if it’s 90 degree weather in the summer. That’s humane. And no one charging $200/night+ has any business offering less - more pool lounge chairs during the summer - advertise with photos that don’t use a fishbowl lens, be honest that the pool is small - advertise honestly that one must climb 1.5 slights of stairs to reach pool. That’s an accessibility issue for disabled guests - have replenished towels available for guests - have the pool hours actually open during posted hours - offer activities for solo travelers to socialize; you have a whole beautiful 2nd floor level that could be a great space for games, wine tasting, a silly interaction of your choice. I never saw anyone use this space and activities could make the stay more worthwhile. - offer concierge services and recommendations - have a manager on duty available to talk to guests 7 days/week -consider different hallway lighting than red light; red light feels like a ******* Some specific stuff that went wrong in my stay: - key card for room stopped working after one night - power/electricity/AC went out 3x in one night - no one advertised there was construction in front of the hotel .. a total eyesore and noisy during weekdays - drunk guy wandering my floor thst no one stopped at reception and/or no one accompanied him to his room to make sure he wasn’t upsetting - no manager or person with decision making power was available to answer questions - no complimentary services offered for various inconveniences, not even empathy offered Hope things get better!

GGuest UserPleasant Surprise in the Heart of Barcelona Rating:4/5 Stars Date of Stay:August 2024 --- Summary: We had a short break in Barcelona this week and were looking for a clean, well-located room, and that’s exactly what we got. The Park Hotel was a pleasant surprise and definitely shouldn’t be judged by its facade—we were truly impressed. Room: Our room on the sixth floor was spacious for a city hotel and had all the amenities you’d expect. The bed was particularly comfortable, and the pillows were firm and supportive—none of those mushy, overly soft ones you often find in hotels. The bathroom was well-equipped, though it might be a bit tight for larger guests. Cleanliness: The room was cleaned regularly, and any requests we had were promptly addressed. The pool area was also well-maintained, and the shower room available on our departure day was spotless, making our stay even more comfortable. Service: The service was reasonable overall. The staff managed multiple tasks at once, and although they sometimes appeared a bit stressed, they were always prompt, polite, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Location: The location is perfect for exploring Barcelona. It’s within easy walking distance of Barceloneta, Port Vell, and the El Born district. Plus, the hotel is directly opposite the train station, which made our day trip to Sitges incredibly convenient. Facilities: The hotel’s rooftop pool is a nice feature, with about 14 chairs available for sunbathing. The area gets busy in the mid-afternoon, especially when the summer sun is at its peak. The pool itself is a perfect size for a quick cool-down after exploring the city. Food and Drink: We had breakfast included with our booking, which offered all the basics you’d expect from a hotel breakfast. It was a good way to start the day and provided enough variety to fuel up before heading out. Value for Money: The Park Hotel offered excellent value for money, given its location, comfort, and amenities. Tips/Recommendations: This hotel is ideal if you enjoy a trendy food and cocktail scene combined with the bustling beach atmosphere. It’s a great base for exploring the best of what Barcelona has to offer. We would definitely return to the Park Hotel on our next visit to Barcelona.

GGuest UserAfter a lot of deliberation and some safety concerns, I finally booked this place, and it was absolutely fantastic! The location is super convenient, really close to the subway. The residential area is clean and safe, and there's a supermarket right across the street, which was incredibly handy for getting food. The biggest surprise was booking a room with a terrace – totally worth it! Every evening, I'd enjoy a drink on the terrace while taking in the mountain views. Such a lovely experience, and amazing value for money!

GGuest UserThe room itself was really good: clean, comfortable and spacious. However, my first impression of the stay and the stuff of the hotel was suboptimal, which coloured the whole experience.  I arrived at the hotel at about 1 p.m. First thing that surprised me was the fact that there were actually 2 hotels and only one of them had a check-in desk, to find which I had to ask around. When I finally arrived at the reception, I was second in line as there were some people checking out. While I was waiting a family (parents and a child) came in, and then one more group of travellers arrived. When the receptionist was done with the people who were before me, I asked to be checked in. In response, I got told that she was going to check the family in first. She wasn’t apologetic or nice about, she told me this as if that was what always happened and not that people got served in the order of their arrival. I am sure the family really appreciated what she’d done and I wouldn’t have minded either if that action was followed with acknowledgement of this not being okay and an offer of some services to recover their reputation. Not only had I not got an apology or anything like that but also I was again bypassed for registration as the receptionist decided to invite 5 people who came in later on to check them out. At that point me and other people in the line were quite baffled by the behaviour and understood that there was nothing fair about this interaction. After I was  finally checked in and went back to the other side of the street for my hotel, the room pleasantly surprised me. It was clean and had all the necessary amenities. However, I was a bit confused at first by the thing you need to do to get electricity. I was told by a friend that the system of inserting the key card into a specific slot in order to get electricity is now the norm, but this month I’ve been to 5 different hotels and all of them had different systems and none of them were this particular one, so I personally would’ve appreciated a heads up or an informative poster on the door. The only downside of the room that I found was that that side of the street was quite loud. It was much better with the windows closed, however, if you are a light sleeper, I recommend taking ear plugs.  The rest of the stay went pretty okay for me, but that first experience unfortunately is something I’ll never forget.  If you are travelling as a family, I would imagine this hotel would prioritise you over other guests any time, so maybe that’s just who they cater to. As a solo traveler, however, this was not what I was expecting.

AAnaplasieThe hotel is conveniently located, everything is within walking distance. The staff is friendly. It's important to note that the spa is an additional fee and is accessible to children over 14 (I don't remember exactly). But most importantly, it's not allowed with small children. I recommend it for a stopover; it's also suitable for walks.

GGuest UserI arrived in Barcelona a day earlier than my booking, and the hotel responded to my email incredibly quickly. They managed to accommodate all my requests so smoothly, which I truly appreciated. The receptionist was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making my stay in Barcelona feel warm and genuinely welcoming from the very beginning. The location of the hotel is fantastic — everything is within walking distance, which made exploring the city so convenient. The room itself felt very secure and comforting, with a modern design. It was clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained. I had a wonderful and restful stay for four nights. Another big plus was the complimentary 24-hour coffee and drinking water, which made the stay even more convenient and thoughtful. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona!

GGuest UserThis hotel boasts an excellent location, very close to Sagrada Familia and the metro station. Although I didn't try the hotel breakfast, there's a cheap and delicious breakfast spot just a two-minute walk away that opens at 7 AM. The front desk staff were all very friendly, and check-in was a breeze. The downside is that the rooms are generally a bit old and small, and the walls are not well soundproofed. In my room, there was only a duvet cover and no duvet, which the front desk said they couldn't provide, so it was a bit cold at night. There were also no mouthwash cups in the room.
