The Central House Barcelona Gracia ★★

📍 Carrer de Còrsega, 302, Eixample, Barcelona

"This was my second visit. The cleanliness is exceptional, and the lockers are very secure. I recommend bringing a padlock as the lockers themselves don't have locks. The curtains on the beds are a fantastic touch! After check-out, you can store your luggage in a locker, but there's a charge. There's a kitchen in the common area. There are power outlets on the wall inside the bed, so you can easily charge your devices. I'd definitely like to stay here again. It's great value for money."

Ohla Eixample Hotels in Barcelona

Ohla Eixample

"We stayed for 4 nights and were grateful to the hotel for upgrading our room. The hotel is very new, with double sinks in the bathroom, and the shower facilities are modern and clean. The amenities provided are also high-end, and the bedding is comfortable, ensuring a really good night's sleep. The service was excellent; the Chinese ladies at the front desk were warm and friendly, and they answered all our questions enthusiastically – a definite highlight! The hotel breakfast was good, and you could even order complimentary pancakes or omelets, so getting a full meal was no problem at all. The location of the hotel is fantastic, with many highly-rated restaurants nearby, making it super convenient for getting around. A 5-minute walk to the left takes you to Casa Milà, and about a 15-minute walk brings you to Casa Batlló (where you'll also find the Gràcia metro and train stations). Turning right and walking for 5 minutes leads you to Provença metro station, which is very handy for getting to Mount Tibidabo. All in all, we were extremely satisfied with our 5-day, 4-night stay in Barcelona, and I highly recommend this hotel!"

"Stayed the eixample apartment. Huge place with a living room and dining table. Two toilets in mine but layout is different for every apartment. Doesn’t have the usual amenities in it but you could request for it. Daily house keeping does basic keeping of bed and restock of towels. Hotel is clean and nice and along a busy shopping street near chanel dior etc. which is good for buying and keeping it back quickly to prevent any potential losses."

"The location is perfect, with excellent security and within walking distance of major tourist attractions like Casa Batlló. The room is very spacious and comfortable, and I really loved it. The shampoo and conditioner provided were also very good, which was a nice bonus. The only downside was the smell from the shower drain—it became unpleasant after using the shower. However, aside from that issue, everything else was great. Overall, I had a very positive experience and would recommend this place."

"When I checked in, they asked if I was a member for a potential upgrade. I gave them my member number and was asked if I preferred a city view or a sea view. I chose sea view, but they gave me a room that was definitely not a sea view, claiming it was an upgrade. I then checked my booking and realized my original room type didn't specify a city view, meaning I could have chosen a sea view anyway. The main issue is they gave me a non-sea view room and still insisted they upgraded me to a sea view. I contacted Ctrip twice, but nothing was resolved, and even their customer service agreed with my frustration towards the hotel. You can see in the video below whether this is a sea view room. Honestly, if they didn't want to upgrade me, they could have just said so, and I wouldn't have forced them. The problem is they didn't upgrade me but still expected me to be grateful for an 'upgrade' to what they called a 'sea view room'."

"The hotel lobby is incredibly beautiful. The staff were also very kind, and even though it had a city view and was right in front of the main street, I thought it would be noisy, but the soundproofing was excellent, so it was quiet. It was truly wonderful."

"Right next to Sants Station, which made getting around super convenient. There was also a supermarket next door, so the location was great. They even had a rooftop pool and a restaurant. The room was generally clean, and whenever I needed anything, the staff were very helpful, making my stay comfortable. The welcome sangria was a nice touch too!"

Renaissance Barcelona Fira Hotel ★★★★
"I booked this Renaissance for the last three nights of my trip in Barcelona. 1/ First, the location. It's not particularly close to the airport; the taxi fare here is almost the same as going into the city center. However, if you take public transport to the city, it will take more time. 2/ Next, the service. I checked in at 2 AM, and no one contacted me beforehand to ask about my arrival time. As a Marriott Titanium Elite family member, it's quite unusual to be so unmanaged. (Even budget hotels like Quanji or Atour in China would usually reach out). 3/ Regarding the room. Upon arrival, I was checked in by an older gentleman whose English wasn't very good. After a bit of a struggle, he assigned me a low-floor room (on the third floor), which was the only room with a visible number near the elevator. (As a solo female traveler, I don't understand the reasoning behind this arrangement). It was quite noisy; I constantly heard the elevator going up and down and doors opening and closing. 4/ And then, the cleanliness. After housekeeping on the second day, they actually removed the bin from the bathroom vanity. What does that mean? Are we not supposed to use it? The mouthwash wasn't refilled after housekeeping either. I drank water from a glass in the room and left it on the bedside table, and it wasn't removed after housekeeping. I'm not sure what housekeeping actually did. 5/ Finally, there were bugs! And the air conditioning wasn't warm. The next morning, when I went downstairs, I coincidentally met a group of flight attendants who had checked in on the same night, and they were also complaining about the AC and other issues. In summary, I do not recommend it. I suspect all the positive reviews on Xiaohongshu (🍠) are paid."

"The hotel is in a good location, about 2 kilometers from Casa Mila. The various alleys you can walk to are also very pleasant, with a very local atmosphere. I didn't get the password, but I communicated with them and they still patiently helped us solve the problem step by step. Finally, when I was almost exhausted, I checked in smoothly. This self-service check-in is still a bit troublesome. I checked out early and there was no place to store my luggage."
