"pod was clean and decently comfy, yes the mattress is abit thin but it was still alright! noise level was minimum apart from the guy in the pod below snoring one night.. but if you are a light sleeper hostels arent for you anyways! toilets were amazing, i loved that there was a combined toilet+shower which felt very private 🙏🏻 mirror in the pod was really useful too. would 100% go back 👍🏻"

"We stayed at NH Collection Berlin Mitte for two nights over the weekend. Overall, it’s a great value for a short trip. The location is excellent and the staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. The room had everything we needed (comfortable bed, great bathroom, TV). The best part was the sauna included in the price — perfect after cold winter walks, and it’s open until 10 pm. Two small downsides: we felt a slight draft from the balcony window (winter stay), and there was a faint “old” smell in the room. Not a big issue, but worth mentioning. We didn’t try breakfast, so can’t comment on food."

"The hotel experience was really, really good. For a big city like Berlin, it was only around 100 euros or less per night. While it might be a bit small for two people, it was perfectly sufficient."

"The bedding was clean and the facilities were tidy. However, I wish there were more hair dryers. The soundproofing against noise from the hallway wasn't great, but I didn't notice any noise between rooms. Overall, I was very satisfied, and I especially enjoyed my trip because I met great people in the same room. The location is also very convenient, right in front of the station. If I come to Berlin again, I would definitely want to stay here!"

"We stayed for 5 nights and really liked the location. It’s about a 5-minute walk to the station and nearby supermarkets, and Checkpoint Charlie is just around the corner. The WiFi worked well, the shower had hot water, and there was enough space for my luggage. Overall, everything was convenient and comfortable, with nothing to complain about."

"The location for this hotel is ideal for exploring Berlin by foot or public transport. There are also quite a few attractions nearby or a short walk away and many good restaurants close as well. We had very few interactions with staff as we had no issues during our stay and when we did speak with them they were kind and helpful. First thing we needed was to sort out parking and that was easy because there was free street parking in the evening and on weekends so that was free during our stay. We had a quick check in too. We booked a double room for my wife and I and a single room for her mom. We both had a good amount of space and the rooms have furniture that utilize the space well including a desk, a safe, shelves with built in hangers and plenty of bars and hangers throughout the room to hang your things. There was a small TV, good lighting and some helpful lighting around the headboard. The tempurature control is good in the rooms with a thermostat on the wall that has a power button on top and controls on the front to control the air conditioning or heat. The beds were comfy and the rooms were very quiet at night so we got a good night's rest. The bathroom was small but designed well. The shower had good pressure, plenty of hot water and a good curtain to keep the water in. They provide a shampoo/shower gel combo so you may want to consider bringing your own bath products. If you book a suite you get a mini fridge and kettle but the regular rooms have neither. There are tea stations on even floors that have a nice filtered water dispenser that does hot, cold and room temperature water."

"Heart of Gold Hostel Berlin was extremely easy to find upon my arrival to Berlin Station. Immediately upon entering I could tell that this hostel had a certain kind of relaxed vibe to it. Not bad. If you arrive early and want to lock your bags but don't own a lock, you can rent one for a 10€ deposit. Check-in also requires a 10€ deposit. Both can be paid woth cash or card but when they return it upon departure, they will only give it back as cash. I was assigned a capsule on the first level and first thing I encountered was a guy walking in hit Itty bitty skivvies. Um, ok I guess. Again, relaxed vibe. The capsule was okay only with the door open. Close it ans it's like you're in a coffin. Hot, hot, hot, and very little air circulation. I brought that to the attention of thr front desk staff and later a guy told me that ”the motor is running” so the fan is working. I took video... the motor may be heard but it def was not working. Felt like I was sweating buckets on night 2. Glad I didn't stay an extra night. Bathroom were relatively clean, byr toilet paper was not always installed. Also, ask for a towel if needed b'c it's not automatically offered. Breakfast is 10€ and was mainly vegan. Was not worth the cost imo. Anyhow... most staff were chill. Just don't like the low effort that was put in for checking about the fan in my capsule. There is no point in booking a capsule if you need to keep the door to it open to breathe. Anyhow... of that issue was fixed, I would stay again."

"The amenities were basic and the room was quite small. The only pleasant surprise was the fantastic location right on the Spree River, offering lovely river views from the window. However, I was charged €5 for a €3.91 tax fee because my credit card wouldn't process it and they claimed they had no change, which I found completely unacceptable. (On a positive note, the female staff and a male staff member who appeared to be Latin or Italian provided excellent service and were very professional.)"

"This stay was fantastic and exceeded my expectations! The room was spotless and very comfortable, with a great layout and an amazingly cozy bed—l felt relaxed the moment I walked in. The staff were warm and professional, and everything from check-in to check-out was smooth and hassle-free. The property is quiet, well-maintained, and feels very welcoming throughout. I'd definitely stay here again and would happily recommend it to friends."

"Amenity was available and there was a kitchen, so it was very convenient. It was very nice to have a microwave. The nearest station from the hotel is about 30 seconds walk, so it is convenient to use the train! There was a crow by the window of the room where I stayed, and I told the staff because I had been there for a long time, and it was a fake bird made of plastic. I didn't ask why, but it was a little uncomfortable because the birds were made to look real."
