The room was very small than I expected but the service was very good. Free airport pick up and free drop off to the train station was very helpful and they were quickly ready.

It's a good option for the airport, but possibly not much else. It was clean and fairly comfortable, but I found the bed a little hard for my taste. It is a fairly easy 15 minute walk across a busy road and then up past (or through) the park. Don't be put off by the road. There is a pedestrian crossing over to the road the hotel is on, or you can go under it via the metro, in which case you should use Exit 1 and you will be on the edge of the park.

Finding this room rate on Saturday, with parking and breakfast included, is quite difficult, so honestly, you can't expect too much. Although it's a huge improvement over the previous two nights 😆
There seem to be two parking spaces at the entrance. I was able to park there every time I came back. If you park in a street parking space, the hotel will give you a NT$100 subsidy. The Wumiao parking lot is a franchise, but only one parking space is allowed. Remember to get a parking ticket from the front desk. There's an empty parking space next to the hotel, but it doesn't belong to the hotel.
The hotel interior shows signs of age. If you have very high expectations, I wouldn't recommend it. Breakfast is simple but decent. You'll definitely be full, and the taste is pretty good. It's also very close to the interchange, and check-out is at 12 pm. It's a decent choice. If you have high expectations, I really wouldn't recommend it.

I was looking for a budget friendly hotel just for a day and this one pops up with high Trip rating, so i booked.
The check-in was smooth. They also have parking space which was great. We booked a double bed room for two people. At first the room looks decent, the bathroom was well cleaned and maintained but later we found the bed headrest was very dirty with old stains, the furnitures are also got stains which felt creepy. The linens were clean but had a peculiar smell.

This time I came to Taiwan for a 15-day self-driving tour, and I mostly stayed in motels. This motel was the most satisfying of my trip. The parking garage was large, there was an independent elevator to the room, and the bedroom and bathroom were completely separated. Clean and smoke-free. Stayed for three nights and had the best sleep quality. I don't like others to enter the room to clean. I asked to put the daily supplements outside the door. The supplements were very sufficient. It is worth praising. The staff has a good service attitude There is no laundry room, but it is only 5 minutes away by car to the self-service laundry. Only paper cups are provided indoors. Tenants remember to bring their own plastic cups to enjoy hot drinks. The breakfast portion is too small. Fortunately, the hotel has two paper-packaged cup noodles. The first breakfast was just two thin slices of bread, and on the second day I had porridge and some paper-wrapped instant noodles to fill my stomach.

A very convenient location which is just right by the airport and SMK Outlet, the front desk service is superb being that they remembered that I need taxi services in early mornings for both days while we are staying in. GGuest UserThis hotel definitely deserves a special shout-out! My experience was fantastic right from check-in. For those who enjoy culinary experiences, I highly recommend checking out their 'one night, two meals' package. I loved the ice cream with nachos at the ground floor cafe. The evening snacks and breakfast on the second floor were also delicious. While it might not have the extensive variety of a typical star-rated hotel buffet, it offers a great chance to try various local snacks. Every single braised meat, minced pork, and topping was incredibly flavorful, and I especially appreciated the thoughtful touch of a rice cooker so you could serve yourself hot rice. You could really tell that the restaurant staff and managers were genuinely dedicated to service and food quality, constantly moving around and attending to guests.
The room was spotless, and the lighting was much brighter than what you'd typically find in comparable hotels. The bathroom was also more spacious. The only minor drawback was a gap of about 1cm under the room door, which made me think the soundproofing might not be great. However, I wasn't disturbed by any noise from outside during my stay.

AAnonymous UserIt takes around 10 mins walk from MTR station to hotel. Near the MTR station is a big department store with MUJI (not so big one but enough). Moreover, there is SOGO and POYA at other exits, which is convenient. The staff are polite and kind. The room is clean and comfortable. Have Netflix and YouTube, Korean, China and local Taiwan TV channel.

GGuest UserThere's more than one Takahashi Inn around Kaohsiung Station, but this one is right across the street from the station, which was super convenient for me since I had a lot of luggage. The hotel breakfast was excellent; I particularly enjoyed the hot Chinese options like congee, stir-fries, and tremella soup. Their scallion oil crispy pastry was fantastic! (See picture 2). The hotel doesn't serve dinner, but the famous Liuhe Night Market is less than a ten-minute walk away (See picture 3). I especially loved the hotel's 24-hour self-service laundry room.

During our trip to Kaohsiung, we decided to stay at PAPO’A Harbor Hotel, and it turned out to be a great choice for exploring the creative harbor district of the city.
The hotel is located just a short walk from Pier-2 Art Center, one of the most vibrant and artistic areas in Kaohsiung. The neighborhood is filled with street art, converted warehouses, cafés, and galleries, making it a perfect place to wander around both during the day and in the evening. Being able to walk back to the hotel after exploring the area was a big plus.
One of the things that makes PAPO’A Harbor Hotel unique is its character. The building used to be a harbor staff dormitory and has been thoughtfully renovated into a boutique hotel. The design blends industrial elements with modern minimal touches, giving the space a calm and slightly artistic atmosphere that fits perfectly with the surrounding Pier-2 district.
Our room was simple but very comfortable. The bed was cozy, the room was clean, and everything felt well maintained. While the hotel focuses more on design and location than luxury facilities, it provides everything you need for a pleasant stay. Some rooms even offer partial views of the harbor, which adds to the experience of staying in this port city.
Another great advantage is transportation. The Light Rail stop is only a few minutes away, making it easy to reach other parts of Kaohsiung such as Love River, Central Park, or connect to the MRT system.
Overall, PAPO’A Harbor Hotel is a lovely boutique stay for travelers who appreciate design, convenience, and a relaxed harbor atmosphere. It may not be a large luxury hotel, but its charm, location, and unique character make it a memorable place to stay in Kaohsiung.

The hotel is a bit of a walk from the train station though.
Since it’s converted from an old commercial building, you have to climb about 10 steps through the mall to get up to the hotel, not the most convenient if you’ve got big luggage. Also, at night some of the mall doors get locked, so you might need to ask security how to get in, which is a bit of a hassle.
Overall, it’s more suitable for business travelers than leisure ones.
