Hotels near West District, Taichung

The room is big enough for two people. We lived in level12 and had a good view. The shampoo and shower gel have good smell. The cleaning staff was very friendly and supportive. This hotel has a good location and we could go to some places within walking distance.

I had a wonderful stay at O Hotel Taiwan! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a cozy atmosphere that made it easy to relax after a long day out. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, and the amenities provided were more than sufficient. The location was very convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions, shops, and public transport. It made exploring the area simple and enjoyable. The staff were friendly, polite, and always willing to help whenever needed. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient, which made the overall experience even better. Overall, it was a very pleasant and satisfying stay. I would definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Taiwan!

Super near to train station but must know how to walk. Do not follow Google map as it will bring you the long route. Assessible to night market, lalaport mall, weekend flea market at train station. The neighbourhood have alot of foreigners. Breakfast is good but a little oily and salty.

First time in Taiwan, and there weren't many hotel options in Taichung, most of them being quite old. This hotel's service was decent. The room was a bit dated, but the location was good, right next to a shopping mall and across from a Japanese Sogo department store. There's also a bar on the hotel's registration floor, which was nice.

9 out of 10, very satisfied! This hotel, much like Chen Meifeng (a ********* celebrity), has maintained its beauty and charm over the years. It was once the most prestigious hotel in Taichung, and it still feels brand new today. The entrance opens right onto Calligraphy Greenway, making it feel like you're staying in a park – absolutely beautiful. The room lighting was a little dim, but everything else was flawless. I'll definitely be back!

Great value for the money we paid, especially with a free upgrade at check in! The hotel had free tea and snacks in the lobby for guests and excellent pour-over coffee available in the room. Very nice bright decor and convenient amenities like hot/cold water dispensers on each floor in lieu of wasteful bottled water in the rooms. The front desk also offered a variety of supplies upon request (photo attached). Great stay, would come back in a heartbeat!

The Place is a great find in Taichung. Clean, modern, with fantastic service and staff who go above and beyond. Rooms are spacious and clean, and have everything you need for a short stay. Breakfast is so-so. Delivery is possible, and there’s a park and museum right across the street. Easy walk to Calligraphy Greenway. Recommend for a short Taichung stay!

The hotel location is great! You can walk to the famous Yizhong Street business district (night market) and the Zhonghua Road Night Market, which is popular with locals. There is also a direct link to 711 downstairs, which is really convenient~

First time staying over in Taichung, and The Carlton Hotel definitely marked a good memory for us during this gateway! The room is clean, breakfast buffet has variety of food options, location is very accessible to where we would like to visit, service is outstanding and helpful especially when we accidentally left one of out item in the room after checked out, the staff was promptly reaching out to us and arranged for courier service for us, truly appreciate for the help and hospitality! Highly recommended!

When check in, the staff was busy, It was confused me to rush for check in, apperantly the room was on the other building, so I need to go out and enter the other building. Not sure about the security, looks like no security on the other building. For breakfast I have to go out to the front office building on the 2nd floor. They give coupon for breakfast from 7-10. The breakfast was okay, and same type of menu. The room quite big, the bathroom okay, with full amenities. It seems the the room wasn't clean properly, there some small plastic rubbish on the corner when I check in, I wouldn't bother. Light in front of bathroom wasn't good enougj, since the mirror there you need when you getting ready to go out. They provide water bottle and tea bag. Free store luggage service upon check in and check out. Location is near the train station, walkable to Miyahara and around train station was really nice at night.
