It’s a landed property with 3 floors. No lift, so either leave your heavy luggage downstairs or carry up on your own. Smaller public space and kitchen but good enough to stay around. The hostel is well managed with fans to air and dry out the space. 4 toilets and 3 showers for 4 bedrooms (around 28 beds I think). But if not all using the shower room or toilet at the same time. It’s just nice. Would be good if there’s 1 or 2 more hangers in the shower and toilet. The room is clean and bed is comfortable. Breakfast is included with simple white toast, one egg each and jam. Although location is 20 mins bus to downtown, it’s close to train station to travel to other small town and convenient stop for 台湾好行. I had no issue as vegetarian as there are eateries around within 5-30 mins walking distance and convenient stores at station. Receptionists are friendly and helpful. There are travel information available for last minute planning. Free bike renting starts from 10am. There’s postal service too.

Due to some traffic reasons, we reached there pretty late around 930pm. The owner called us to check if we need any help, and patiently waited until we reach there, explain the house and rules. Really cozy and quiet environments, the facilities are absurd! 1000% worth the price. My floor is the lowest one, and it’s super clean. Highly recommended. Only cons is that you’d have to walk a little bit from the train station here (or you can just grab a cab for just little bit money though).

Originally, I booked an economy quad room, but I was upgraded to a standard quad room, which had a window and a larger space, not just a shared bunk bed setup. The most attractive feature of this hotel is that it offers breakfast, lunch, snacks, and late-night supper. Basically, you can eat your fill here without spending a dime! 🤣 The breakfast was very satisfying with a wide variety of delicious options, and the late-night supper was also very generous, even offering 'Mi Tai Mu' (Hakka thick rice noodles) and instant noodles that you can cook yourself. What's more, the air conditioning seemed to have some kind of air freshener added, so the room always smelled pleasant. The hotel's location is very close to Taitung City center, Tiehua Village, and Zhengqi Road, but it's not noisy. We stayed on the 9th floor, and the soundproofing from outside was pretty good. However, the soundproofing between rooms was just average; sometimes, you could hear sounds from the adjacent rooms. The only minor drawback is the underground parking lot. It's quite small and a bit old, requiring a car lift to go down. The underground parking was converted from mechanical parking to flat spaces, so the parking spots are limited and it's a bit intimidating. Aside from that, it seems you can also choose to park in an outdoor parking lot that the hotel partners with. However, both the outdoor and underground parking are first-come, first-served until full. If there's no space, you'll have to find and pay for parking yourself. Overall, if I come to Taitung again, I would still choose this hotel.

Chaikuo Waterfront was a wonderful place to stay on Green Island. The hotel has a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful location close to the sea, making it feel like a perfect island escape. It was a lovely base for exploring Green Island while still having a quiet and comfortable place to return to afterward. The surroundings were especially memorable. Being near the waterfront made the stay feel very atmospheric, with fresh sea air, ocean views, and the calm rhythm of island life all around. The place felt clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully arranged, with a simple charm that matched Green Island perfectly. I would definitely recommend Chaikuo Waterfront to travelers who want accommodation that feels intimate, scenic, and connected to the natural beauty of the island. It is a great choice for couples, friends, or anyone looking for a peaceful stay by the sea.

This was my second stay here, and both times the check-in process was very smooth and quiet. The only minor issue is that the soundproofing of the doors isn't the best; if you have your phone volume on full blast in the room, people outside can hear it at about half volume. However, everyone seems to be considerate and keeps noise levels down, so I never heard any sounds from other guests during my stay. This means if everyone respects the quiet, you'll have a fantastic experience. I've stayed twice and never been bothered by noise. Even when the cleaning staff were working in the morning, the noise was minimal, just a slight rustle. Overall, it's virtually silent.

This resort is very outdated. Needs a major upgrade. It has old resort smell and the bathroom of the room we had stayed we’re not clean and needed repairs done. The spa was okay and it was weird to have residential building nearby to look over the spa swimming pool. The facility looks old and empty. There are residential buildings around but no restaurants nor eatery nearby, only one 7-11. However, the staffs were wonderful, and we appreciate their help working with us to accommodate our request.

Despite this, it's worth noting that the basic amenities and necessities were provided. Pricing Considering the reasonable price offered by ”It's Mine Hostel,” it is essential to manage expectations accordingly. While some aspects may not be perfect, the affordability of the accommodation must be taken into account when evaluating the overall value. In conclusion, ”It's Mine Hostel” in Taidong is an okay option for travelers on a budget. It is worth noting that the hostel has a relaxed atmosphere. it provides basic amenities and cleanliness. The editor's online conversation was very enthusiastic and sincere, but the male employee who received us on site had a blank expression 🫥 and no emotional introduction. I thought I was still in Taipei, but we asked enthusiastically and excitedly. Other than that, the overall environment was generally good. If you are afraid of noise, please be careful. The train is right next to you and will still come in and stop very late, and the sound will be amplified.

Poor sound insulation, you can hear the hair blowing in the door The equipment is poor and the hair is blowing. It takes 2 minutes to jump. No one picks up at the counter and has to go downstairs to find someone. The bed is very poor. There is no spring bed like a wooden bed. The door cannot be fully integrated. It will be opened at any time.
