Water Meworld is located in the urban core area opposite the Taipei Railway Station. It is an important transportation hub connecting the high-speed rail, Taiwan Railway, MRT, bus, and passenger railways. It has an excellent geographical advantage.

Overall, my stay was quite good. The hotel's biggest advantage is its excellent location. It's directly across from Taipei Main Station, making it incredibly convenient for taking the MRT, High-Speed Rail, regular trains, or the airport MRT. The surrounding area is well-equipped with amenities, featuring numerous restaurants, snack stalls, and convenience stores, so finding food is a breeze. Ximending is also just about a 15-minute walk away, perfect for shopping, browsing, or trying local delicacies. Plus, the hotel is right next to Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department Store (Taipei Station branch) and directly connected to an underground shopping mall, adding to the convenience for both shopping and getting around.
As for in-room facilities, a refrigerator is provided, which is very practical. The hot water supply was stable, with sufficiently hot temperatures and strong pressure, making showers very comfortable.
However, there are a few areas where the hotel could improve. The cleanliness needs a bit of work; the room carpet wasn't thoroughly cleaned, and I noticed visible dust on the headboard and walls. Also, since the hotel is located within a shared building, elevator wait times can be long during rush hour or peak tourist times. On another note, while the hotel offers washing machines and dryers, both require an extra fee. This could add to the expenses for guests planning a longer stay.
All in all, if convenient transportation, surrounding facilities, and local amenities are your main considerations, this hotel is a good choice, though there's still room for improvement in terms of room cleanliness. The overall stay was pleasant and I would recommend it. ★★★★☆ (4/5 stars)

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. It is located opposite Taipei Main Station. Hence commuting by MRT or High Speed Rail (HSR) is very convenient.
The room is spacious and comes with a huge round bathtub. A bottle of red wine was complementary during our stay.
The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. They provided guidance to places I would like to go, and offer me an umbrella as it was drizzling. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would recommend this hotel.

Great service and location, but an absolute nightmare of a stay
Rating: 1/5
I booked this hotel for a one-night trip to Taipei for a concert—just me, alone, excited to see my idol. Unfortunately, the stay itself was a total nightmare.
Let me start with the positives: the service is excellent—knowledgeable, quick, and polite. The location is also perfect, with a direct path from the Taipei MRT station to the hotel, and you can reach Taoyuan Airport in under an hour. There's even a water machine in the corridor, which was handy for getting hot water.
But that's where the good ends. The hotel is shockingly old—worse than any dilapidated hotel in Hong Kong at a third of the price. For what I paid, I did not expect this level of neglect.
I couldn't book a single or double room, so they gave me a room with three beds. I lay down on the first bed furthest from the window and soon felt itchy—I suspect bed lice. The other two beds near the window seemed fine, but that's already unacceptable. And the blankets were so thin I felt completely insecure—like there was nothing protecting me.
The bathroom was a disaster. Hair on the wall, a small dark spot in the bathtub, and no hairdryer. The toilet barely flushed—I had to press the button multiple times, and the toilet paper just wouldn't go away. As for the shower—I've never seen anything like this in 40 years of traveling. Not even in mainland China hotels I visited as a kid with my grandparents. The knob was super loose and barely functional. Turning it to the hot water side did nothing—no water came out. Slightly turning the other way (still on the red hot side) gave only cold water. I could not get hot water at all. At breakfast, I overheard Japanese ladies complaining about the exact same issue. Unbelievable.
There were also zero amenities. They hide behind ”eco-friendly,” but in Japan, you can still ask for supplies. Here, I didn't even have tissue paper in the room—I had to go back to the toilet to get toilet paper.
I couldn't take a proper shower. I feel so dirty and uncomfortable. Truly a nightmare. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

everything else was impeccable, except that the breakfast was rather ordinary. It consisted mainly of standard bread (no croissants), Chinese-style meat buns, siu mai, plain steamed buns, freshly fried eggs, noodles, a very fatty beef soup, braised minced pork rice, congee, salad, and similar items. As it was ***** New Year’s Eve and the first day of the ***** New Year, I had expected some festive dishes, but was quite disappointed. Next time, I would try a hotel without breakfast included.
In addition, they provide afternoon tea every day at 3 p.m., with three pieces of dessert (egg tarts...) per person complimentary, but all of them are sweet.

I’m very satisfied with our stay at Roader Plus Hotel. The lobby is superb with friendly staffs (even at late night there are many of them supporting our needs). The design is beautiful and clean as advertised in photos. Lots of “interesting” snacks and very thoughtful to have disposable chopsticks, spoons, microwave, mineral water bottles, water heater and coffee packs for supper whenever needed. And we can chill at the eating area watching cartoons on big screens with kids. There is luggage packing area too for us to weight our luggages, and provide guidelines for different airlines limits (a list of table stick on the wall). Other than the cinema, there are 2 play areas for kids to hangout too. And there’s a laundry room with sufficient washing machines and dryer. The room is relatively compact but very neat and clean, limited space for luggage after open. The only downside is don’t have chair in the room, understand it’s due to limited space but it’s acceptable. The shower water pressure is very high (good), love it! Overall, it’s one of the best hotel I experience in this trip. Well done and keep it up!
The Hotel is located next to the Presidential Palace, a three-minute walk to the National Taiwan University Hospital Station, a ten-minute walk to Taipei Station, and a fifteen-minute walk to Ximending. It is a very good place to stay, with 228 Park next to it.

Our stay was amazing! The room was very spacious, comfortable, and super clean. Everything was well-maintained and made us feel very comfortable throughout the trip. We also got exactly the same room as advertised, the room looked exactly like the photos shown in the listing, which we really appreciated.
The location is also great, walking distance to both Taipei Main Station and Ximending, which made it very convenient for us to travel around. There are also halal food places nearby, which was a big plus for Muslim travellers. Overall, highly recommended and definitely one of the best places we’ve stayed!

Had a thoroughly enjoyable 4-night stay in Taipei. It was perfect for me as a solo traveller! The cleanliness was top notch throughout the hotel, and housekeeping did an excellent job daily. The location was also extremely convenient — just near the airport transfer at Taipei Main Station, which made travelling around very easy. Check-in and check-out were both smooth and fuss-free, and the staff provided great service throughout the stay. Amenities were great as well, with all the basic necessities (bottled water, room slippers and bath soap) thoughtfully provided. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Taipei.

Excellent location near to Taipei Main station. Lots of food options nearby. All the rooms are at level 3. Just take the lift up to level 3 and reception is there. Staff are very friendly. Room is small but the layout is really good. The layout of the room and toilet really makes sense.

GGuest UserThe view was fantastic, with a clear sight of Taipei 101 in the distance. The room had a convenient table, perfect for a quick bite or a drink. Since it was an anniversary celebration, the hotel kindly provided a bottle of champagne, which really set a lovely atmosphere. The staff were all polite and had excellent service. And the breakfast was really good too! ♡
KkhtravelThe hotel's interior decor is stunning, with a strong Japanese feel. The rooms are clean and spacious, featuring a private onsen and yukata. Plus, there are complimentary drinks and snacks. If you check in around 3 PM, you can enjoy a tea ceremony performance with free green tea and snacks. Breakfast offers a wide and delicious selection!
HHappyKimmyWiFi poor connection for our stay for 5 nights although we complained but no improvement at all. We forced to use our own data until we had to buy new data during our 6 days trip in Taipei. That was our 1st bad experience for hotel stay 🥺.
Good location👍🏻. The hotel building got lifts connected to Taipei MRT station thru level B3 from hotel back lifts.
For those with big luggages, can use the lift between Z2 & Z4 to the hotel building. Then access the main building door to the hotel lobby at 5th floor by using the last 4 lifts. If unsure, can ask the security guard of the hotel building.
Hotel got washing machine at level 3, got vending machine, water dispenser & weighing scale 👍🏻😊.
MMJ FERNThe location is super convenient—just a short walk from Taipei Main Station, which made getting around the city and to the airport so easy. I always felt safe even when coming back a bit late, which is a huge plus when you’re traveling alone.
The place itself is clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The rooms are simple but comfortable, and the common areas are nice if you want to relax or meet other travelers. What stood out the most was how accommodating and friendly the staff were—they’re always ready to help with directions, recommendations, or anything you need.
As a female solo traveler, safety and comfort are everything, and Main Inn definitely delivered. It has a welcoming vibe that makes you feel at home while still being budget-friendly.
Highly recommend this place if you’re planning a solo trip to Taipei 💛
MMr.PettooMyself and my friends stayed at Papa Whale Hotel for the 2nd time, and we had another great experience overall!
*What we loved:
1. Room: The room was awesome – clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed.
2. Room Service: Almost perfect! The staff were quick and attentive.
3. Breakfast: Fantastic! Myself and friends really enjoyed the variety. Would love to see a few more options next time, like fried chicken, French fries and more.
4. Location: Location is convenient and perfectly fine. It’s a bit of a walk from Ximen MRT Station, but nothing major.
Small note:
On one day the staff forgot to replace our towels, but it was a minor issue and didn’t affect our stay.
Overall: A perfectly nice stay. We’ll definitely consider coming back again. Thanks to the team for making our trip comfortable.
GGuest UserWe arrived around 12 a.m., and it was very easy to access the dormitory. The place was very clean, and the mattress was comfortable to sleep on. We didn't need to check in because the key card had already been prepared for guests arriving at midnight. Overall, it was a smooth and convenient experience. Highly recommended!

JJerry Lee 61Near shilin station, and shilin night market. No has hotel sign board and reception, need find the door number 59. But can check in easy by online. Door excess using password. Still quite convenient. The room wall and window curtains a bit dirty. The toilet clean and nice.
GGuest UserOverall is acceptable.
Good location, there are shops and restaurants nearby, is convenient to go attractive places.
The only thing is the hotel is old, seems like lack of maintenance and upgrades.
