XanaDeluxe Hotel Foshan Danzao — A Genuinely Great Stay with One Notable Flaw As someone who spent most of their trip based at the hotel, I can give a pretty thorough take on what it’s actually like to live in this place for a few days. First impressions The lobby sets the tone immediately. It’s clean, well-presented and the staff are genuinely professional. As an English speaker with only basic Mandarin, I was a little nervous about communication, but the front desk team went above and beyond with translation and made me feel completely at ease. That kind of hospitality is hard to fake. The Room My room was impressively clean overall. The only thing I’d flag is the carpet, which felt like it could use a deeper steam clean. Nothing alarming, and perfectly fine with slippers, but worth mentioning. The air conditioning though? Absolutely elite. Strong, reliable and a lifesaver. Facilities The fifth floor amenities are a real highlight. The gym has brand new equipment, fresh towels and complimentary water ready to go. I spent some solid time on the cardio machines and had zero complaints. The laundry room is also genuinely impressive — four washers, four dryers, plenty of seating, steamers and a dedicated ironing area. Very thoughtfully set up. Food The hotel has several dining options on-site. I tried the dim sum and it was solid. Good variety, good quality and a nice atmosphere. The One Thing That Needs Work Wi-Fi. For younger travellers especially, reliable internet is non-negotiable. Whether it was for remote work or just streaming, the speeds were consistently disappointing. Upload and download were both underwhelming. My cellular signal wasn’t great either, but I’d expect the hotel Wi-Fi to compensate for that, not add to the frustration. Final Verdict This is a hotel that genuinely nails the hospitality side of things. It’s clean, the staff are warm and professional, and the facilities are well above average. Sort out the Wi-Fi and this is easily a five-star experience across the board. I’d absolutely come back next time I’m in Danzao.

The hotel's overall decor is grand and stylish, with a spacious and bright lobby. The facilities are top-notch, including a complimentary 24-hour gym, self-service laundry room, and multi-functional business meeting rooms. The breakfast buffet on the second floor offers a wide variety of fresh and delicious food. The front desk service was professional and efficient, and both check-in and check-out were handled quickly. The room was comfortable and cozy, with soft bedding, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a great night's sleep. Whether you're transiting via high-speed rail or enjoying a leisurely shopping trip at the outlets, this is a top accommodation choice. I'll definitely choose this hotel again when traveling to and from Guangzhou South Railway Station, and I've already recommended it to my friends!

Great hotel with spacious, clean, and comfortable rooms. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. This hotel is conveniently located very close to the furniture city. The room was clean and odor-free, with complete facilities, and it was quiet for sleeping. The staff were friendly and check-in was efficient. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in the area.

My first time staying at this Sheraton, and while it's not brand new, it offers great value for money. The room had a small balcony, and the location is excellent! From the hotel, a taxi to Fengjian Water Town was about 46 RMB (a bit far), to Fisherman's Wharf was about 17 RMB, and it took only 9 minutes to get to Daliang Shunde Fisherman's Village for dim sum... As a stopover and resupply point, it's more than sufficient. Big shout-out to Gavin Zhao Peilin at the front desk! He was incredibly helpful with his detailed recommendations; clearly, he's a local who knows all the best places to eat and drink.

[Highly Recommended] In August 2026, during the peak summer season, after much comparison, we chose to stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Foshan Shunde for our 3-day, 2-night trip. The hotel boasts an excellent location, adjacent to the Qiandeng Lake CBD. It's in the same building as the Marriott Hotel and is also a Marriott-branded property, offering moderate pricing. The rooms are spacious and tidy, with comfortable bedding and expansive views from the upper floors. Guests can also use the heated pool and gym at the Marriott Hotel in the same building, making it great value for money. The front desk efficiently handled check-in, the self-service breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and parking was free. It's perfectly suited for both business trips and short getaways. Hotel concierge Shirley Lin called in advance to inquire about our arrival time and check-in needs, and provided meticulous and attentive service throughout our stay – truly commendable!

I visited this hotel in August, and while the front desk's handling of my room left a bad taste in my mouth, the hotel's location, facilities, dining, and room hygiene were all excellent. So, when friends invited me to Foshan for the National Day holiday, I wasn't opposed to staying here again. This time, there was a similar minor hiccup with the front desk, but the hotel resolved it promptly, making me feel respected, unlike my previous experience. The hotel staff, knowing we were specifically there to visit the nearby Meland, even told us there was no need to walk outside in the sun as the hotel's basement level provided direct access. These small details truly showcase their service, proving that good service often lies in the subtleties, making guests feel comfortable staying at this hotel. My favorite part was the hotel breakfast. It was very rich and available until 10:30 AM, which is perfect for sleeping in until after 9 AM and then heading down at 10 AM for a leisurely half-hour meal. It allowed for plenty of rest. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay this time.

I took my child out for Children's Day. Facilities: To be honest, the play facilities are a bit old, but there are many food options inside, and the prices are cheaper than X-Long. We chose the stargazing room, and my child loved it, but I hope the cleanliness can be improved. Some hidden corners weren't cleaned properly, and there was a lot of dust in the room. The hotel package included access to the amusement park, but many facilities required additional payment, which felt a bit like a rip-off. What I did enjoy was the swimming and hot springs. It feels like Changlu really wants to be a resort, but perhaps due to the current economic downturn, it hasn't been able to maintain itself well. Overall, it was still an enjoyable trip. I hope Changlu improves!
