I stayed at the Beitou Reizhi Tang for one night. The exterior is a simple, old-style hotel. The room's cleanliness was acceptable. There's no elevator, so you have to take the stairs, which are a bit uneven – easy to make a mistake if you're not paying attention 😅. The room door uses an old-fashioned key for entry and exit. The room has a Japanese style, with a decorative window that doesn't open. The soundproofing isn't great; you can clearly hear people walking upstairs late at night, and the drainpipe noises are also quite audible. Other than that, everything else was acceptable. The hotel staff also provide shuttle service to the MRT station and were very courteous. Overall, it was an acceptable stay.

I had a very comfortable stay at Dandy Hotel with my husband and kids. It’s the little thoughtful touches that really stood out—complimentary snacks, free noodles, and other small perks that made the experience feel extra special for all of us. The breakfast was amazing with plenty of options, which was great for both adults and kids, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Everything was spotless, which I really appreciated. The only thing missing was a pool, but overall, it was a perfect stay for our family. Highly recommend!

I’ve stayed at this hotel a couple of times and it’s great value. Just a few steps away is an amazing roastery and it’s easy to access the hiking trails to Yanming Shan. I’ll definitely be back.

Not too far from Xinbeitou station, around 12 minutes walk. Close to a lot of attractions like the Beitou Thermal Valley and Hot Spring Museum. There is a 711 near Xinbeitou station. There are a few food stalls near the thermal valley. In the hotel, there are some snacks and drinks. Unfortunately, on the day I was there the lemon tea/juice dispenser was broken. There are bottled water inside the room. The room I booked was quite small but ok for me because it was just me. Might be small for two people but can work.

The hotel is conveniently located near attractions such as Geothermal Valley, Puji Temple, Beitou Hot Spring Museum, Beitou Library, and Beitou Museum. The Xinbeitou Station commercial district is also just a 10-minute walk away. We opted for the family room for four, but the actual room significantly differed from the photos online. The decor was outdated, the facilities basic, and the soundproofing poor, raising concerns about the overall quality. The only redeeming qualities were the excellent hot spring water quality and pressure. The breakfast was unremarkable, but the dining area on the fifth floor offered pleasant views on a sunny day through its large windows, which somehow enhanced the taste of the food.

First time visiting Beitou, and it was so close to Thermal Valley. The room was comfortable. Even though I saw some ants in the room, the location was excellent and the staff were very polite. I'd consider staying here again if I have the chance.

The hotel is nice.. very convenient location.. Supermarket (Carrefour), restaurants, 地热谷, Beitou Hot Spring Museum, Taipei Public Library Beitou Branch (unique design), Xinbeitou Historic Station, all just walking distance.. Plus the hotel has own hot spring/onsen, we can relieve our tiredness/fatigue after daytime walking around.. Hotel breakfast is good too.. They provide variety types such ********* (卤肉饭，Oden etc) , bread & pastries, congee, dessert etc.. Overall is a good experience and totally recommended..

Overall good, the shuttle service I think goes until 10 or 11pm but they were kind enough to be flexible with me when I came exactly at 11pm to the station. Make sure you communicate with them in advance. I emailed them and then added their WhatsApp to do so. Worst case you can walk from Xinbeitou station but it's up a hill.
Everything was clean, room was spacious, view was nice. There's a local breakfast place that's a 10 min or less walk you can search on Google maps. There's some drink places and restaurants etc closer to the station.

GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, right opposite the Y13 exit. First off, you'll need to climb stairs to reach the service counter as there's no elevator. The bathroom is en-suite, and they provide lockers. As for the bed setup, there's a small space at the head for personal items, and extra room at the foot of the bed for your luggage, backpack, and other belongings, which really helps create a more private feel. They offer a simple breakfast including toast, buns, shaomai, coffee, and tea.

The room itself is nice and the bed is very comfortable, however if you have large luggage there is little space to store it. The lockers are only big enough for a backpack or perhaps a small suitcase.
The bathrooms are nice and clean, however also not very spacious (at least the one for my room especially, the two for everyone in the hallway are a bit bigger).
There is also a large room in the basement with a refrigerator, washing machine & dryer, and a bunch of tables, seats and couches, which is very nice.

I had a great stay at Hotel PaPa Whale! The hotel's style is really unique and quirky, which makes it stand out from your typical business hotels. The location is absolutely fantastic. It’s just a short 7-minute walk to Ximen Station, making it super convenient to get around the city, and being right on the edge of Ximending means you're in the middle of all the action, shopping, and nightlife.
Location: You really can't beat it for exploring Taipei. The Ximending pedestrian area is literally a few minutes' walk away, so you're surrounded by endless food options. Whether you're looking for a late-night snack, trendy cafes, or authentic ********* street food, you'll find it all right on your doorstep. The proximity to the MRT station is a huge plus for day trips too.
Room & Atmosphere: The room was a decent size, especially for Taipei, and we had plenty of space for our luggage. The vibe is modern and playful. The most... memorable feature was definitely the large mirror on the ceiling above the bed. It certainly adds a fun, slightly ”kinky” twist to the room's atmosphere! It’s a bold design choice that fits the hotel's overall playful and unconventional personality.
Bathroom: One of the highlights was the bathroom. It was impressively large, very clean, and well-appointed, with good water pressure in the shower. It felt more like a boutique hotel bathroom than a standard city hotel one.
Overall: Hotel PaPa Whale is a solid 4-star experience. It combines a prime location, a clean and comfortable room with a fun twist, and a great bathroom. If you're looking for a memorable stay right in the heart of Taipei's most vibrant district, this is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended for couples or anyone looking for something a little different.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is great, and it's also close to Taipei Main Station. If you're taking the Airport MRT, I recommend exiting from Taipei Main Station A1, Exit 5. From there, you can walk straight to the hotel, which takes about 10 minutes (including waiting for traffic lights).
The nearby MRT stations are NTU Hospital Station (3-minute walk) and Taipei Main Station (7-minute walk). There are also many bus stops, making transportation very convenient.
Regarding the check-in experience, the hotel lobby is on the 3rd floor, and guest rooms for this hotel occupy floors 3-5. There are only two elevators, and since the building houses other businesses, waiting for an elevator can take a while.
The front desk staff were professional and efficient. Before check-in, there was about a minute-long 'rap' outlining the check-in policies.
The hotel bed was comfortable, and the room and bathroom were clean. It seems to have been recently renovated, as it felt spacious and bright. Soundproofing was acceptable; I could still hear cleaning noises from outside and sounds from the adjacent room. I chose a room with a window this time, but the window couldn't be opened.
Amenities provided were limited to slippers and toilet paper. The shampoo and shower gel were a 2-in-1 product, with a light, pleasant scent and no strange odors.
Overall, it was a pretty good stay, even exceeding my expectations.

GGuest UserThis hotel is super convenient, just a 1-minute walk from Taipei Main Station's M2 exit. You can easily walk to Ningxia Night Market and Ximending in about 20 minutes, and even Dihua Street if you're up for it. Popular spots like Fuhang Soy Milk and Shuangyue Food Company are also within walking distance, so you'll have no trouble finding great food and shopping from morning till night.
The guest rooms are located on the 5th to 7th floors of a multi-purpose building. While the double bed takes up most of the room, making it quite compact, there's a small indoor balcony-like space at the back. It has a compact table and chairs, perfect for eating takeout, and enough room to open your suitcase.
