I’ve been to many hostels, but this is definitely one of the best I’ve stayed in. One of the biggest plus points for me is the location — it’s only about a 2-minute walk to Ximending, which is super convenient.
When I arrived, everything was clean and modern. What really makes me happy in a hostel is cleanliness, and this place definitely delivers. And the TOWELS — that’s everything to me!
The staff are also very nice, friendly, and speak English, which makes everything so much easier. The rooms are fully air-conditioned even when it’s already 17°C outside.
Another amazing bonus: free laundry! Honestly, that’s such a big deal when traveling.
What I appreciated the most was how kind and accommodating the staff were. My checkout was on March 7 at 11 AM, but my flight was at 12 AM the next morning (March 8). They kindly allowed me to leave my things and stay around the hostel while I explored Taipei for the day. When I came back before heading to the airport, they even let me take a shower before my flight. That kind of hospitality really means a lot to travelers.
This is probably one of my favorite hostels now, and I can’t wait to come back!

Overall the hotel is great: clean and modern, with plenty of places to eat nearby, walking distance to metro station.
There’s also a free self-service laundry.
Breakfast was included for us (I normally don’t take hotel breakfast) and it was so so.
Many great coffee places around.
I would definitely stay there again.

I really enjoyed the hotel's facilities and services; the staff were all very friendly. My favorite was the self-service laundry, which is free (and they thoughtfully provide laundry detergent for guests). For drying, you'll need five 10-dollar coins (you can get change at the front desk).
The room amenities were also good; the TV allowed access to YouTube, Netflix, etc. I wish the bathroom had more hooks for hanging clothes.
There was some renovation work going on inside the hotel, so there might have been a bit of dust and noise, but it wasn't a major issue. What actually startled me more was the sound of other guests opening and closing their doors – perhaps the walls are a bit thin.
The 24-hour snack bar was also very appealing, with a coffee machine, ice cream, instant drinks, small biscuits, and more, all available for guests to take freely.
Downstairs, there's a supermarket, several convenience stores, a bakery, and bubble tea shops. It's also very convenient to walk to the nearby night market and subway station.
Overall, it was a good experience.

Old fashioned yet very well maintained / service oriented international hotel
Everything is in the details of this property
Authentic hotel difficult to find nowadays, we are far from all similar international hotels feels
Expensive, but good for location / very dedicated service including breakfast / a property you will remember
Bad point for this hotel range : no pool , very small gym on the rooftop

We booked one double bed room.
The room size is OK but the toilet is a bit run down and need some major refurbishing. There were two 2 larger cockroaches in the toilet which we need to get rid of. The shower door also dont close properly with no curb to stop water from leaking out of the shower.
Positive:
- convenience location near the old street shopping. MRT station, eateries, convenience stores and Carefour.
- large bedroom. Bedroom cleanliness is acceptable.
- free use of laundry facility (although it is just one washer and one dryer)
Negative:
- toilet is run down and need major renovation.

Front desk agents are very friendly and helpful on moving my luggages from the street. Because it is on Thursday night stay, therefore the room rate is competitive. But the room rates for Friday, Saturday and Sunday are much higher for me to seek other options. The room carpet needs replacement. There is no luggage rack and space for placing my luggages, except on the floor. Room size is small, therefore more suitable for one double bed instead of two single beds.

Taipei Hotel Bnight offers modern and warmly furnished accommodations with complimentary Wi-Fi. Guests appreciate the comfortable beds, delicious breakfast, and amenities like in-room TV above the bathtub and heated toilet bidet. The hotel's location is convenient, but some guests note that noise from neighboring establishments can be heard due to thin walls. However, the hotel provides good value for the price with its high standard rooms and helpful staff known for their excellent customer service skills.

It was pretty average. The location isn't in the city center, but there's a Carrefour nearby, which is quite convenient. I heard Ningxia Night Market is also close, though I didn't go. Transportation is decent; it's a short taxi ride to Taipei Main Station. There wasn't much service, and I had very little interaction with the staff. Breakfast was just okay, similar to what you'd get at a budget hotel back home. The salad greens seemed fresh, but nothing else really stood out. The room was dated, and the bathroom had a lot of stubborn stains and blackened corners, which was quite off-putting. The toilet was a smart toilet. There was a shower curtain for the tub, but it smelled damp and musty, and water would always leak out onto the floor. The old hardware is definitely a downside, and the service didn't make up for it; there was a general lack of attention to detail. ********* hotels no longer provide disposable toiletries, so you need to bring your own.

Outstanding
FFengzhiguijiThe room layout is well-designed, and the location is convenient. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Taipei.
KkhtravelThe hotel's interior decor is stunning, with a strong Japanese feel. The rooms are clean and spacious, featuring a private onsen and yukata. Plus, there are complimentary drinks and snacks. If you check in around 3 PM, you can enjoy a tea ceremony performance with free green tea and snacks. Breakfast offers a wide and delicious selection!
SStella_CThe location is amazing! From Taipei Main station exit Z2 or M6. Go to the building and reception is at level 5. Many food places nearby, including local and international chains, and Starbucks as well. Staff are generally friendly. However, we were plagued by mosquitoes in the room everyday and every night, had to keep fighting them. The air con control panel is a dud. It's actually central air conditioning yet they just told us it is slow to adjust. As a result we were freezing through the first part of the night then too warm for the 2nd part. When it gets too cold, even if we turn off the air con, we can feel the cold air continue to come out of the vents. When I asked if it's possible to change room, reception claimed they were fully booked. Not my best stay in Taiwan I'm afraid. I guess its great for those who prefer rooms constantly around 21-22 Celcius.
GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, right opposite the Y13 exit. First off, you'll need to climb stairs to reach the service counter as there's no elevator. The bathroom is en-suite, and they provide lockers. As for the bed setup, there's a small space at the head for personal items, and extra room at the foot of the bed for your luggage, backpack, and other belongings, which really helps create a more private feel. They offer a simple breakfast including toast, buns, shaomai, coffee, and tea.
SSiva Rama 256Check in takes only 5 minutes and check out much more faster with 10 seconds with a self check out machine that will suck in your room card.
Check in gets faster with your reply to the property telling them what type of room you have booked and what time you'll arrive. With booming businesses and too many bookings, the staff might get entangled in mess, so partially you reply is helping them to get grounded and avoid mistakes.
The property is clean, neat, nice and next to easy transport and family mart and 7e.
AAnonymous UserA Fun and Funky Stay in the Heart of Taipei
I had a great stay at Hotel PaPa Whale! The hotel's style is really unique and quirky, which makes it stand out from your typical business hotels. The location is absolutely fantastic. It’s just a short 7-minute walk to Ximen Station, making it super convenient to get around the city, and being right on the edge of Ximending means you're in the middle of all the action, shopping, and nightlife.
Location: You really can't beat it for exploring Taipei. The Ximending pedestrian area is literally a few minutes' walk away, so you're surrounded by endless food options. Whether you're looking for a late-night snack, trendy cafes, or authentic ********* street food, you'll find it all right on your doorstep. The proximity to the MRT station is a huge plus for day trips too.
Room & Atmosphere: The room was a decent size, especially for Taipei, and we had plenty of space for our luggage. The vibe is modern and playful. The most... memorable feature was definitely the large mirror on the ceiling above the bed. It certainly adds a fun, slightly ”kinky” twist to the room's atmosphere! It’s a bold design choice that fits the hotel's overall playful and unconventional personality.
Bathroom: One of the highlights was the bathroom. It was impressively large, very clean, and well-appointed, with good water pressure in the shower. It felt more like a boutique hotel bathroom than a standard city hotel one.
Overall: Hotel PaPa Whale is a solid 4-star experience. It combines a prime location, a clean and comfortable room with a fun twist, and a great bathroom. If you're looking for a memorable stay right in the heart of Taipei's most vibrant district, this is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended for couples or anyone looking for something a little different.
AAnonymous UserThe location is pretty good, very close to Beiche/Ximen Station, and there are many convenience stores, fruit shops, and restaurants downstairs. The only drawback is that I specifically booked a room with a window, but when I opened the curtains, it was just a solid wall, LOL, I was speechless!
AAllanYongSoonTzek93I had a really enjoyable stay at MeWorld of Taipei, and overall it was a very positive experience from start to finish. The accommodation was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully designed, making it a comfortable place to come back to after long days exploring the city. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt welcoming and well organized, which immediately gave me peace of mind.
One of the highlights for me was the convenience of the location. Getting around Taipei was easy, with public transport, food options, and convenience stores all within walking distance. This made daily planning very flexible, whether I was heading out early in the morning or returning later at night. The area felt safe and lively, yet quiet enough to rest properly.
The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful throughout my stay. Any questions I had were answered patiently, and communication was smooth and clear. Check‑in and check‑out were straightforward and hassle‑free, which is something I really appreciate when traveling. It’s clear that the team takes pride in keeping the place comfortable and pleasant for guests.
The room itself was comfortable, tidy, and suitable for resting or working, with everything I needed for a short or longer stay. The environment was calm and relaxing, making it easy to sleep well despite being in a busy city like Taipei. I also appreciated how clean the common areas were, showing good attention to hygiene and maintenance.
Overall, MeWorld of Taipei offers great value for money and is a solid choice for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and a smooth stay experience. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Taipei and would happily recommend it to friends, whether they are traveling solo, with family, or for work.
GGuest UserThis hotel is super convenient, just a 1-minute walk from Taipei Main Station's M2 exit. You can easily walk to Ningxia Night Market and Ximending in about 20 minutes, and even Dihua Street if you're up for it. Popular spots like Fuhang Soy Milk and Shuangyue Food Company are also within walking distance, so you'll have no trouble finding great food and shopping from morning till night.
The guest rooms are located on the 5th to 7th floors of a multi-purpose building. While the double bed takes up most of the room, making it quite compact, there's a small indoor balcony-like space at the back. It has a compact table and chairs, perfect for eating takeout, and enough room to open your suitcase.
GGuest UserThe front desk staff are helpful in general, but the cleanliness of the room still needs big improvement.
I found screw on the floor, then something like ‘ash’ on the coffee table.
The door, if not closed super tightly, will remain open without notice.
