The room cleanliness is good, but the front desk staff are somewhat cold and lack friendliness. However, if needed, they are willing to help.
The most inconvenient thing is that the hotel does not provide bottled water. You have to use the hotel's provided kettle to get filtered water outside the room, which is extremely inconvenient and feels unhygienic.
This should not be the service provided by a five-star hotel.

The dust mites were a bit of an issue. The location and decor were nice, and the staff service was quite good. It was a little disappointing that there was no partnered parking. The floor-to-ceiling windows were definitely a big plus, but the pillows being too soft was a slight letdown.

Room is good size for 4 adults and clean huge bathroom with 2 basins :)

This place is really good! It's clean and very close to the night market. Although there's no dedicated parking, I called ahead and they helped me check for available spots. It's NT$200 on weekdays and NT$300 on weekends, which is perfectly acceptable. Because this place is so excellent and perfect for a one-night stay, I've already booked my next visit. I highly, highly recommend it!

The location is super convenient: there's a bus stop right outside, and a Ubike station nearby. Plus, there are tons of great food stalls just one stop away. The room and bathroom were both very clean, making for a really comfortable stay.

I have initially booked this hotel as I was very impressed with the google videos and photos on how big, spacious and nice the individual rooms concept. At the place I stay, there's no car drive in motel. Do note there is no main lobby at all as this is a drive in motel. The room is indeed spacious, huge and nice as per google pictures.
The only misgiving I have is that the room for overnight stay is 8pm onwards, if they can allow an earlier check in say 4/5/6pm without additional charges that would be nice. The staff were kind enough to let me in 1 hour earlier as I had travelled to Tai Chung in only short sleeve top (I had not expected temperature to have a sudden drop). Some clothe hanger would also be helpful for users staying overnight.
Location is not exactly very convenient unless you are driving and have a car but still walkable to surrounding amenities. Nothing much to expect on service as this is a car drive in motel not a hotel.

This is such a great place!!! So cute!!! 😄 The entire places are well equipped with what you need, the price is wonderful, nothing you can complain about 😍 And they have women only(room &, share bathrooms), walking distance to night bazaar 😙 Highly recommended for your trip. This was my first time staying at Mulan Motel in Taichung, and overall it was great! However, you can tell the room's decor and furniture are a bit dated. Before going to sleep, I accidentally noticed a mirror in the corner of the ceiling. It reflected the light fixture above the headboard, and I could clearly see a lot of dust. But I guess that's a spot where not many people would think to clean.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Fengjia hotel. The location is really close to the night market and plentiful of eateries nearby. We really appreciate meeting Joe at the front desk. He was very helpful with suggesting activities for our family. We wanted to visit the Gaomei wetlands and do one more activity during the day. He offered us several options taking into consideration our interests and distance. Best part was he was able to arrange a lovely driver to take us aro und. It was cheaper and far more convenient than Uber. The hotel was clean and well furnished for the one night stay. Lobby had some free drinks and snacks which the kids enjoyed.

I stayed in a room on the first floor. In the room... The bed is a single bed with two bunks. The ladder step to the upper bunk is a bit small, so it's no problem to go up; however, you have to be extra careful when getting out of bed. The beds are relatively soft, but the upper and lower bunks have their own TVs. But the table... is really small, probably only 50-60 cm wide. But the bathroom is quite big... It is combined with the toilet, but there is no dry and wet separation, no shower curtain, and no slippers. (They sell flip-flops, a pair costs NT$100 and only one size is available) There is no bottled water in the room, but there is a water dispenser outside the room. Also, the air conditioner only has cooling function, no heating function. There is a fairly large convenience store within 500 meters; further away is a McDonald's, estimated to be 1,000 to 1,200 meters away.

1. They didn't inform me before check-in that I needed to purchase a membership card to extend my stay for a second night. Otherwise, I'd have to check out and then check in again. While it wasn't a lot of money, it left a bad impression.
2. The check-in time was a bit odd.

Location wise is near to Taichung train station, but not so favorable for me as it’s not near to the high speed rail station or any other tourist spots except Miyahara ice cream. Breakfast can also be improved further.

AAnonymous UserLocation - I’m not sure if we just missed out on what’s nearby. But we did walk on the sides, we were searching around of what’s there to see. We didn’t see much, like we realized after walking for a few minutes that we just found the convenient store which is kinda far if that was the nearest available (or again, there could be one the other side we don’t know haha).
So after walking around, and realizing there’s nothing much to see. We already booked an Uber going to the night market.
It wasn’t that far from the HSR Station. I couldn’t remember the exact distance and travel time. But if I find it far I’d normally remember it and say it.
Service - it was an easy check-in and check-out. Though, I almost forgot to get a receipt. Had to proactively ask for one. Luckily we decided to stay for a bit after checking out, we remembered it and got to request for it.
I like how they already asked upon checking in if we need a room cleaning service. That was convenient.
The breakfast was so so (on my personal taste bud). Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t that bad.
I love the room the most! We were happy about how spacious it is. And it has an AI box which we loved. The bathtub has a tv, the shower area was spacious, the ambience of the room, hallways and lobby. The free snacks. The brand of the body wash and conditioner. The free Nescafe machine in the lobby.
I’d definitely recommend it and I’d stay here again.
(Though I still have a pending concern that I have to figure out myself, cause the amount showing in the invoice was different from the amount showing on tha app. Haven’t checked how much was the final amount taken out on my card)

GGuest UserCheck-in at 4 PM was a bit late, but the Taichung Park nearby was a nice bonus. It's within walking distance of the Yizhong Street Night Market. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. It's great that there's a hot and cold water dispenser in the hallway. The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable, so I slept very well. I highly recommend this place.

Service: Excellent! Every staff member was wonderful, especially Rich, who was incredibly attentive and made me feel very well looked after.

There's a 24-hour convenience store downstairs, though the night market is a bit of a walk, about 30 minutes. A bus stop is right in front of the hotel, and you can rent a scooter directly across the street, making it super convenient to get around.

GGuest UserThe Plaza Hotel is actually an older, well-established brand in Taichung. Its location is quite good, and the entire hotel has been recently renovated, so it's still very spacious and clean. It's conveniently located in the city center, making it easy to get to Fengjia Night Market, the Intercontinental Baseball Stadium, the new Hanshin Department Store, or Shinkong Mitsukoshi in the 7th Redevelopment Zone. There's parking available on-site. The hotel also offers breakfast, but you can choose a room-only option if you prefer not to have it. Definitely recommended!

AAnonymous UserThe room was good and clean. And they offer a self-service laundry- of course you need to pay your laundry which is fare enough. But they don't provide any toothpaste ans toothbrush, which was indicated in their front desk and before booking. I was a bit confused though because I thought the reservation includes breaksfast as stated in the site but when i arrived, i was informed that it wasn't included. But the staffs are kind and helped me booked a taxi going back to the airport at a wee hour. The room i stayed had a window, there's ref and closet with only 2 hangers. The only problem i had was the aircon which was centralized or controlled so when it is cold at night, it is hard to increase the temperature. I couldn't really sleep well.
