Provintia Hotel

9.7/10
Excellent

Stylish hotel with thoughtful details (how they present the history of Tainan and its old trades), water dispenser on the 8th floor was great and so was the bidet in the room toilet. Room also ccame with local sweets, tea and coffee. Bonus was casting from your device onto room’s TV. Breakfast was a spread with a comforting range.

Stayed for two nights. Had some issue with our hotel room key. The staff were very proactive trying to resolve the issue, but it was only till the 2nd day of our stay that was resolved. There was no compensation for the incovenience caused as we only had 1 phisical key for 4 ppl. Having said that, the rest of the service was very nice, would be happy to go back again.

The hotel's service and facilities are excellent, and its location is very convenient. I would definitely consider staying here again. I was really disappointed though because I had planned to go for a swim, but when I arrived, I found out the pool was undergoing its annual maintenance, which unfortunately coincided with my entire stay :(

Kindness Day Hotel

Ready to dive into Tainan’s captivating old streets and creative energy? The Kindness Day Hotel exceeded my expectations from the get-go—think comfy amenities, a breakfast buffet you’ll dream about, and a location that puts you just steps from historic hot spots like Guohua Street, You'ai Night Market, and Anping Old Street. 🏮 Staying here means you’re in the heart of it all! Arrive by taxi or hop on the train—either way, you’re within easy reach of Tainan’s iconic foodie walks, temples, and that ruggedly photogenic Anping coastline. The wooden tableware at breakfast is a lovely touch; it matches the bright, modern interiors and gives serious “insta-worthy” vibes, especially on sunny mornings. What sets Kindness Day apart? Free bikes for breezy city exploring, a 24-hour supply of coffee and ice cream (essential fuel for full travel days!), and a guest laundry so you can pack light. Got a craving late at night? From 7 to 10 pm, there are free snacks and beverages to keep those midnight munchies at bay. The staff really make the stay—everyone is genuinely helpful and always ready to guide you or share local tips for the best photo angles and hidden gems. If you love snapping pics, check out the modern light-filled lobby and take your camera out to the nearby vibrant outdoor art scenes. Book early on trip.com for the best rates, and try to time your snack breaks for that magical 7-10 pm window. Tainan tip: plan a walking route from the hotel—hit the night markets, then unwind at Anping’s outdoor spots before heading back for dessert and downtime. #Tainan #KindnessDayHotel #FoodieTravel #HistoricTaiwan #HotelReview

Important: Please bring ear plugs! the sound from street traffic is kind of echoey and loud. I went to buy some after my first night. Location is hard to beat. I got to try quite a few good eateries just by staying here. And there are street markets of different types within short walking distance. I was staying in a room on 2nd level and using the shared bathroom, but it looked like i was the the only one using it. Everything is clean and spotless, as if the place is very new. The hot/cold water dispenser at ground level is very useful. More hooks/hangers in the room for hanging clothes would be nice. The light feature above the bed and the full-length glass windows that allow natural light are very aesthetically pleasing. What was perhaps unusual and a bit unnerving - a first for me - was that i didn't see ANY person around the whole of my 4-day stay. I arrived late and had to do a self check-in on the first day so that was to be expected, but on subsequent days no staff were at reception, nor did i see any guests (though i could faintly hear them in their rooms on certain days). Is this a low season thing? Having said that, i found the self-check in and check-out is quite convenient and if you have connected with them over Whatsapp, they send clear instructions beforehand. They will also answer any questions over Whataspp, so i guess it's like a virtual receptionist?

Had a pleasant time in this hotel. Provided snacks and drinks daily. The male staff that was at the reception at night was very helpful in helping us call local shops and finding things. The breakfast was also delicious! Would return next time!

Finders Hotel Tainan Ximen

Here's a review of the hotel: 1. **Location & Transport** 🚗 * **Location:** Superb! Situated on Section 2 of Ximen Road in West Central District, directly across from You'ai Street. * **Surroundings:** Very convenient, close to Guohua Street for food, the You'ai commercial district, Chihkan Tower, and Tainan Confucius Temple. * **Parking:** No on-site parking. You'll need to find public parking spaces or paid parking lots nearby, which is a bit inconvenient. 2. **Room & Facilities** 🛌 * **Style:** Continues the 'Little Deer Entertainment' forest magic theme with a great design aesthetic. * **Facilities:** Rooms usually come with a bathtub (in some room types), stable Wi-Fi, and some rooms have a small desk for work. * **Comfort:** Comfortable beds, quiet at night, and silent air conditioning and refrigerator. * **Minor drawbacks:** Hot water sometimes takes a while to come through, and some guests have noted signs of wear and tear or minor cleanliness issues in certain details. 3. **Service & Common Areas** ✨ * **Front Desk Service:** Staff are friendly and welcoming, and sometimes offer small gifts during check-in. * **Lounge:** There's a comfortable common area on the second floor offering complimentary snacks, drinks, and coffee, which is highly praised.

The hotel isn't too far from the train station, but it's a bit inconvenient to walk there with luggage. The hotel itself has a lot of character, and the sofa next to the elevator is very comfortable! One small downside: I had requested a non-smoking room, but shortly after checking in, I started to smell smoke. I'm guessing someone else was smoking in their room, and the smell came through the vents. There's a delicious soy milk breakfast place near the hotel!

The hotel room was clean and basic for the most part and a few small bugs in the bathroom, but nothing major. 4 bottles of water are included and slippers. Beds are firm and comfortable and pillows are ok. However, if you are allergic to napthelene (moth balls), then stay away as the place is strong smelling of moth balls though the room doesn't have a closet or wardrobe. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The bathroom is very basic without a door rack to hang your clothes and the shower partition is only enough to shield the toilet from splashes and without any sliding doors. Toilet doesn't accept toilet paper, so you'll need to put into the provided waste basket. The young lady at the counter was generally helpful, but in a basic kind of way. The hotel is conveniently located right across from the Taiwan railway station in ”downtown” kind of area. The lobby looked big, clean, and decent with a ”putting green” off to the side. The room is quiet, though there are people talking loudly as they check in late at night. The lobby “free wifi” connects, but has no internet service. Room wifi is unsecured, so make sure you have a vpn or use it for unimportant things. They also provide a free luggage storage service before you check in so you can sightsee without lugging your luggage around town. Overall, it’s a good choice for a basic short stay at a very convenient location. The price is also very good. Recommended choice for your next Tainan trip.

Jiahong Brigade Advantages In the urban area of Xuejia, transportation is very convenient. For the price of old hostel, it is close to the people for consecutive holidays. Average 1 000 There is a beautiful picture in the toilet. The air-conditioning is very powerful Disadvantages No wifi, no TV, hot water to wait But 1,000 You get what you pay for~~ Don't compare big restaurants to this
