I really enjoyed my stay at Caesar Metro Taipei and would definitely stay here again on my next trip. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable, and it was always nice coming back to the hotel after a long day out. The bed was comfortable too, and overall the room felt like a proper place to rest and recharge. The location was also very convenient for getting around Taipei, with the train station nearby and plenty of food options around the area. Despite being in a busy part of the city, the hotel itself felt comfortable and relaxing. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and everything was generally very fuss-free. I especially appreciated the comfort of the hotel after some very long days during this trip. Overall, a really pleasant stay and easily one of the hotels I would return to when I’m back in Taipei. 😊

The hotel is conveniently located with friendly and polite front desk staff. The room was clean and hygienic. The elevator at the back of the hotel goes directly to B3, where you can access an underground passage to the MRT, High-Speed Rail, regular train, and Taoyuan Airport MRT without having to cross the street. It's truly convenient.

Location is convenient to Taipei Main Station. Room is clean, and with nice breakfast. Definitely will recommend to friends looking for a good place to stay. Thanks Main Inn 👍🏻

The hotel is very spacious a bit further from most of the tourist attractions but it is very convenient to travel to other Spaces by Uber or taxi and the space is very large with a jacuzzi very clean spacious I would say allow a working space for working in the hotel and more than 300 square feet

The hotel is conveniently located opposite Taipei Main Station, making transportation very easy, and there are many dining options nearby. However, the room was really small, with hardly enough space for two people to move around. On the bright side, the staff were very friendly and cleaned the room and changed towels daily. It's a convenient choice for business travelers.

Hotel Papa Whale in Ximending is a good, quiet, original hotel for short stays, a 7 minute walk from the busy streets and ”The Red House”. I got this room for 1.125 NTD a night. But make sure you ask for a ”Double Elegant Room” on the third floor. The room I was first given on second floor smelled damp. I did not try the hotel dining or breakfast but you can walk from inside the hotel straight into a Starbucks for breakfast. The rooms have a unique, rough but elegant vintage industrial look with good size wall mounted TV, comfortable beds and nice three piece bathrooms with good water pressure. The rooms are clean but have vintage wear with many original details. I would stay again.

Pros: Big room and great location right next to public transit and ximending. Hotel lobby and dining looks nice and clean. Cons: carpets in hallways have really old, huge stains. We found a cockroach in our room around midnight crawling by the vents on the ceiling. We couldn't reach it so we tried to call reception and the phone was busy for a good while. We finally went down in person to ask for some help and they said they would send someone in 10 minutes. Half an hour later we checked in again and just asked for a new room at this point since the roach had crawled into the vents and we didn't know when it would come out again. They finally sent someone to our room while we were packing and sprayed the room with a liquid that supposedly kills roaches. He targeted the vents where we last saw the roach, and a few minutes later the roach came crawling back out. Luckily our guy was still in the room and he caught it for us. We decided not to change rooms since we were leaving soon anyway. Who knows if the roach had a family up in the vents or not. Hotel did not check on us or ask about our experience during checkout.

A very quiet and peaceful place to stay. The place looks sketchy but it's actually safe. Also, it is near to a lot of places like convenient stores, Shilin night market, pharmacy, and to MRT station. There are also local restaurants nearby. If I visit Taiwan again, I'll definitely go back to this place.
