"The hotel's location is great, not far from Taipei Main Station, making transportation very convenient. It's also just a seven or eight-minute walk to Ningxia Night Market. However, for some reason, the lights in the executive room were difficult to turn off; I had to try multiple times. The cleanliness was quite good. The front desk staff were also nice; they told us that because of the high floor, the water pressure might be slow to build up, so we should run the water for a few extra minutes before showering. But when we used it, the water heated up quickly, no problem at all."
"We booked this hotel on short notice and ended up loving it!
I initially thought the Dadaocheng area might be a bit boring, but it turned out to be a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. It has a great historic street vibe and was very comfortable to stay in.
Check-in Experience
✔️ The front desk staff were very welcoming, and their service made us feel right at home.
✔️ The lobby and hallways have a subtle, pleasant fragrance, creating a wonderful overall ambiance.
✔️ The room was very clean, and the space was a decent size.
✔️ The pillows were super comfortable. The overall stay exceeded our expectations!
All in all, it's the kind of hotel where you check out thinking, ”I definitely want to stay here again next time I'm in Taipei.”
Directions: Walk straight out of Beimen Station Exit Y27, and when you see Mikkeller Bar on your left and 8結蛋捲 (June First) diagonally across ahead, you're almost there!
The hotel is on the same block as June First, so just look for these two landmarks and you won't easily get lost~
We really booked this on the spur of the moment, but unexpectedly discovered a hotel we'd love to visit again!"
"The biggest highlight of Meworld Hotel is definitely its convenient location—super easy to get around from here. I also really appreciated the water dispenser next to the lobby area, which was a nice and practical touch.
However, there are a few areas that could be improved. The lobby itself is quite small, and the check-in policy is very rigid. Official check-in is strictly at 4:00 PM, and staff were unable to process registration earlier in the day to hand over room cards later. It would make a huge difference if they could complete pre-registration early so guests can just grab their keys and head up at 4:00 PM. Lastly, adding a key card drop-off box for check-out would speed up departure significantly during busy morning hours."
"The room is clean and the location is very convenient just 5 min walk to Beimen station exit Y27 (this is the underpass shopping street exit). The underpass shopping is linked all the way from Beimen to Taipei main station and to Zhongshan station. Also it's only 5 min walk to Di Hua Street (there is a Yongle market open from 9am-5pm) and 10 min to Ningxia night market. The downside is that the room and toilet are very small."
"Close to the night market, and I arrived at Taoyuan Airport late at night and checked in afterwards. The front desk staff were very kind and it was great! It's also about a 15-minute walk from Taipei Main Station, so it's definitely walkable. There's a supermarket nearby too, which is good for buying souvenirs!"
"The stay at Caesar was perfect for the last night of my trip in Taipei, the location is superb, just take the lift and go down to B1 then you are able to take the train to go to the airport."
"Great location as it is close to the famous Dihua Old street and NingXia night market. Also walkable to mrt stations - blue line, red and green line. Room is clean and reasonably large with great water pressure. Staff all speaks English and helpful. The breakfast and gym were basic. Would be good to have some weights equipment in the gym. Overall it is a good hotel and I would be happy to stay here again."
"Location: quite walking distance from the nearest metro station. 8-10 min walk to exit 5 Zhongshan station. Located nearby the famous Ningxia night market and convenient stores.
Room: a bit small for two person with big luggages but just enough space and comfortable to stay
Service: the staffs are friendly and helpful. Plenty of mineral water supply
Safety: i think it is safeand the main desk is 24/7
Cleanliness: acceptable
Overall: satisfied for 4 days 3 nights stay. Might repeat to stay in the future."
"This hotel has a great location. However it's a tired old hotel, bathroom shows signs of mould, floors weren't vacuumed properly. There were lashes still on the floor from a previous occupant. The door also had issues opening on the final day. Reception suggested to ask Housekeeping to assist with opening the door, I think this is a huge security issue."
"I loved the breakfast buffet! Vegetarian and vegan options available!
Clean and with pantry available, too!
It’s a 1.2km walk from the Taipei Main Station."

BBensonHKFirst Impression: The Luxurious Ritual of a European Castle
Subtle and Secluded Driveway: As the car turned from the tree-lined Dunhua North Road, it entered a highly private French-style circular driveway, exclusively designed for VIP guests.
Museum-Quality Artistic Ambiance: Stepping into the grand and towering lobby, guests are greeted by an aesthetic space adorned with over 1,700 original artworks and exquisite giant crystal chandeliers.
Impeccable Welcome Service: The front desk service is attentive and seamless. Upon being seated, guests are immediately presented with a ceremonial special hibiscus welcome tea and hot towels.
KkhtravelThe hotel's interior decor is stunning, with a strong Japanese feel. The rooms are clean and spacious, featuring a private onsen and yukata. Plus, there are complimentary drinks and snacks. If you check in around 3 PM, you can enjoy a tea ceremony performance with free green tea and snacks. Breakfast offers a wide and delicious selection!
GGuest UserI really enjoyed my stay at Caesar Metro Taipei and would definitely stay here again on my next trip.
The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable, and it was always nice coming back to the hotel after a long day out. The bed was comfortable too, and overall the room felt like a proper place to rest and recharge.
The location was also very convenient for getting around Taipei, with the train station nearby and plenty of food options around the area. Despite being in a busy part of the city, the hotel itself felt comfortable and relaxing.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and everything was generally very fuss-free. I especially appreciated the comfort of the hotel after some very long days during this trip.
Overall, a really pleasant stay and easily one of the hotels I would return to when I’m back in Taipei. 😊
WwcxThe location is super convenient. 2 min to Taipei main station. The room is small but decent. Shampoo and body foam provided is low quality but this is small issue. We are allowed to store our luggage after we checked out. Counter staffs are very helpful and responsive. We are glad that we had chosen this hotel because it is accessible to many places.
LLim Hock BengLocation is convenient to Taipei Main Station.
Room is clean, and with nice breakfast.
Definitely will recommend to friends looking for a good place to stay. Thanks Main Inn 👍🏻
GGuest UserThe hotel is very spacious a bit further from most of the tourist attractions but it is very convenient to travel to other Spaces by Uber or taxi and the space is very large with a jacuzzi very clean spacious I would say allow a working space for working in the hotel and more than 300 square feet
VVivian’s Taste CornerThe hotel is conveniently located opposite Taipei Main Station, making transportation very easy, and there are many dining options nearby. However, the room was really small, with hardly enough space for two people to move around. On the bright side, the staff were very friendly and cleaned the room and changed towels daily. It's a convenient choice for business travelers.
TTakeoff26Hotel Papa Whale in Ximending is a good, quiet, original hotel for short stays, a 7 minute walk from the busy streets and ”The Red House”. I got this room for 1.125 NTD a night. But make sure you ask for a ”Double Elegant Room” on the third floor. The room I was first given on second floor smelled damp. I did not try the hotel dining or breakfast but you can walk from inside the hotel straight into a Starbucks for breakfast. The rooms have a unique, rough but elegant vintage industrial look with good size wall mounted TV, comfortable beds and nice three piece bathrooms with good water pressure. The rooms are clean but have vintage wear with many original details. I would stay again.
GGuest UserPros: Big room and great location right next to public transit and ximending. Hotel lobby and dining looks nice and clean. Cons: carpets in hallways have really old, huge stains. We found a cockroach in our room around midnight crawling by the vents on the ceiling. We couldn't reach it so we tried to call reception and the phone was busy for a good while. We finally went down in person to ask for some help and they said they would send someone in 10 minutes. Half an hour later we checked in again and just asked for a new room at this point since the roach had crawled into the vents and we didn't know when it would come out again. They finally sent someone to our room while we were packing and sprayed the room with a liquid that supposedly kills roaches. He targeted the vents where we last saw the roach, and a few minutes later the roach came crawling back out. Luckily our guy was still in the room and he caught it for us. We decided not to change rooms since we were leaving soon anyway. Who knows if the roach had a family up in the vents or not. Hotel did not check on us or ask about our experience during checkout.
GGuest UserA very quiet and peaceful place to stay. The place looks sketchy but it's actually safe. Also, it is near to a lot of places like convenient stores, Shilin night market, pharmacy, and to MRT station. There are also local restaurants nearby.
If I visit Taiwan again, I'll definitely go back to this place.
