Hotels near Chengcing Lake Baseball Stadium, Kaohsiung

Even though the hotel isn't located right by an MRT station, its facilities, service, and cleanliness are all excellent. What truly impressed me was their incredible generosity – not only do they provide breakfast, but they also offer late-night snacks, treats, and ice cream! On top of that, the washing machines and dryers are a very thoughtful amenity for travelers.

Service: Some staff members' explanations were not very clear. The room facilities were decent, but the bathroom TV was unusable.

The location is very convenient; there's a PX Mart supermarket less than a minute away, plenty of restaurants nearby, and it's close to Chengcing Lake, just a bus ride away. Unfortunately, themed rooms need to be booked in advance. The hotel thoughtfully provides instant noodles, and the Chinese breakfast is plentiful. Nearby restaurants like Kueh Ri Tei, Oyster Vermicelli, and Live Shrimp Dishes are delicious.

The room's air conditioning wasn't working properly. Although drinks and alcohol were provided as compensation, the air conditioning equipment still needs improvement to make the room more comfortable.

My previous excellent experience at the Grand Hotel Taipei led me to choose the Grand Hotel Kaohsiung this time. Although the Grand Hotel Kaohsiung is a bit dated, the rooms are spacious and very clean, and the surrounding environment is very peaceful. It also boasts a terrace with a wonderful view, and the hotel staff are very professional.

Finding this room rate on Saturday, with parking and breakfast included, is quite difficult, so honestly, you can't expect too much. Although it's a huge improvement over the previous two nights 😆 There seem to be two parking spaces at the entrance. I was able to park there every time I came back. If you park in a street parking space, the hotel will give you a NT$100 subsidy. The Wumiao parking lot is a franchise, but only one parking space is allowed. Remember to get a parking ticket from the front desk. There's an empty parking space next to the hotel, but it doesn't belong to the hotel. The hotel interior shows signs of age. If you have very high expectations, I wouldn't recommend it. Breakfast is simple but decent. You'll definitely be full, and the taste is pretty good. Pros: The hotel is incredibly close to Kaohsiung Station, just a four or five-minute walk away. This is super convenient for anyone traveling without a car and relying primarily on public transport. The staff were friendly and helpful, always enthusiastic to assist with any issues. Their service definitely enhanced the overall experience. Cons: The soundproofing is really poor. You can hear almost everything happening on the entire floor, whether it's from nearby rooms or further down the hall. It seemed like the guests at this hotel were quite late-nighters; people were still moving around, showering, and using the restroom well past midnight. This would be a problem for light sleepers. Also, there are quite a few rooms on each floor, but only one elevator. During peak hours, you might have to wait a little while. Overall Impression: Overall, my rating is still on the positive side. If I'm ever in Kaohsiung alone again and prioritize convenient transportation, I would definitely consider staying here again. Hotel brief: The ground floor has the reception area and a few sofas for lounging; the second floor houses the restaurant and hot spring area; and all floors from the third upwards are guest rooms, with bathroom facilities on each floor.

Overall, it was decent. The location is very convenient. My first impression was a little off because the mattress looked a bit old, but after checking, I found it was clean, so it wasn't a huge issue. The mirror above the sink was also a bit too small. For breakfast, I went down a bit late and there was hardly anything left. I hope these points can be improved.

The twin room was very comfortable and clean. They also have a water dispenser, which is a nice touch. A big plus is the parking lot next door (though it costs extra). Even better, it's just a short walk to Liuhe Night Market, and there are souvenir shops nearby, making it super convenient. You might see these two photos because the hotel made me sign a form stating that if I stained their bedding or smoked, I'd be charged $500-$1000.

This is definitely a place to stay if one wants to try all the good foods at Liuhe Night Market. It is simply just across the road without having to take any transport.
