"A very well placed hotel, and police most of the day and evening. A small bemol for noise inside the hotel with staff who does not make a effort to be discreet when checking in the new guests, has all hours of the night ... The staff is very helpful, and the reception team speaks English A special mention for the very complete breakfast, and the possibility of being in the complete black in the room to rest"

"Pros: * spacious clean room * good breakfast opening at 6:30am sharp (doors are locked before then), with lactose-free milk and gluten-free options * okay pool area (no greenery though) Cons: * the A/C was weak, but after running it for one day the room was sufficiently cool (you do need a card in the slot during that day...) * no ”Do not disturb” sign to hang onto the doorknob * the desk in the room was small and very annoying for laptop work (round, glass) * the chairs in the room were not comfortable at all * out of all the staff, only one front desk person spoke English * no laundry facilities * no business room * old slow elevator * window didn't insulate from the street noise that well, but I used 33 dB NRR earplugs to block the noise that came through; there are also many rooms that don't face the street * the front gate didn't open automatically with my key; had to wait for staff to open it; other times it was left open"

"I enjoyed my stay but I had to change rooms because I had asked for a double bed and they put me in a room with single beds. There was also a door in the room (locked) that gave access to another room where you could hear everything other guests were talking about. There were no towels in the room and the shower wasn't getting hot. Breakfast is nice and the receptionist asks for it."

"The hotel is located in the Pelourinho, a very effervescent area. The staff received excellent attention and very comfortable rooms. It is a accommodation that keeps its essence and offers multiple comforts. The area is full of life and although you need to be careful with your personal objects, with common sense you don't feel at any time in danger."

"Room spacious and clean, bed comfortable, sheets and towels good quality, AC works well and is quiet, breakfast absolutely great with excellent coffee and outstanding offerings, check-in fast and friendly. I wish we were staying at Novotel Salvador longer. We had Seafood Risotto at the restaurant and it was very generous with the seafood, but took about an hour so bring a book if you plan to eat dinner here."
