"The hotel boasts an excellent location near Serdica metro station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring all the landmarks within the old town. The fully self-service check-in and check-out process is a real convenience. Our room was clean, and having a balcony was a wonderful bonus. Stepping out, we could enjoy the changing streetscapes day and night, immersing ourselves in Sofia's ancient charm without even leaving the room."
"Very friendly service, excellent location, walking distance to station 5min,direct train to airport for 0.80cents.
Plenty restaurants and bars around.
Room was basic but cleaned, coffee tea facility.
Room got very hot but you can open the window, only downside was not hot food available for breakfast as bemmari was broken.
Good selection of ham and cheese which was enough for us to start the day.
Will be returning as location was the key for us.

"Had an Amazing experience. The hotel was located right next for the metro station. The staff was friendly, helpful and kind. The rooms were spacious with great facilities like towels, shower gels, kettle and tea, and many other things. Comfortable beds. Very nice breakfast as well with good variety. And the view from the hotel was amazing as you can see in the pictures."
"The hotel has an excellent location, right in the city center, within walking distance of major attractions and business districts. The rooms are very spacious, considered very roomy by European standards, fully equipped, clean, and the beds are comfortable. The staff are very friendly, and overall I was very satisfied with my stay. It's a relatively high-value five-star hotel in Sofia, although the facilities are somewhat dated."
"The hotel has complete facilities, including a restaurant, swimming pool, and fitness room. The front desk staff is also very friendly. The room is also very large. Although the decoration style is a bit nostalgic, the overall experience is very good."
"In general, the hotel is very good, close to Vitosha blvd and city center and clean, Standard Double Room is spacious enough
The continental breakfast is sufficent but is served in the lobby and it is very weird, also it is overpriced to my opinion (15 Euro/person)
Hot water in the rooms on the higher floors starts after several minutes of waiting after opening the handle of the faucet
I would rate it as good 3 star hotel rather than 4"
"Location is top of the consideration. Centre located that you can walk to most popular attraction. Metro or tram is very close within steps. Hotel is partly renovated. I believe it will be amazing when finished. Breakfast is not included. 15 Lev per person with small buffet that you can choose most popular items, ie, eggs, ham, sausages, breads or cereals. But they are not very hot on the warmers. However, I would still recommend people to go there for sleep and shower. Room was big enough and balcony overlook the city. Price is very good compare to same standard 3 stars hotel. Staff speaks reasonable English that is convenient. Good luck!"
"This was a great find for travellers. There is a shared bathroom, toilets, kitchen and lounge area. Everything was very clean. We stayed in the deluxe double room that had fantastic views of the city from the balcony. Towels and bedding were included. The property is on the 7th floor opposite the park and is a short distance from the metro station."
"I am truly outraged with this hotel. I have traveled to 43 countries and have never been so dissatisfied with the service. The reception staff were terrible; they explained nothing except reminding us to pay the tax (except for Monica, who was very kind on our last day). Then, the service at the bar/breakfast counter was appalling, and we were treated very badly. (On one occasion, my card lost connection, and the waitress said to me in a tone that suggested, ”Don't you have any money?”) In short, for what I paid, the price-to-service ratio was terrible, and I would never return, nor would I recommend it to anyone."
"The hotel is near the M1 subway station, there is free parking, there is rail transit nearby, you can go to the parliament building and other hotels on the M1 line of the subway. You can walk to a Chinese restaurant along the rail transit (the double lion is about 800 meters) The taste is really good, the price is not expensive, we 4 people eat 30 yuan Bulgarian Lev, which is 15 euros. There are crispy duck, fish-flavored pork, green vegetables and fried noodles. The hotel breakfast is not bad, the service is very good, there are banks and parks next to it, there is a local restaurant in the park that tastes good and the price is reasonable."

Amazing
GGuest UserAn excellent experience with a level of comfort and service befitting a high-end hotel. One of the main highlights is the quality of its facilities. The room is modern, spacious, and very well-equipped with comfortable bedding and impeccable cleanliness. The staff offers a very warm and professional welcome. The pool, spa, and gym are a definite plus after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast is excellent, offering a vast selection to suit all tastes. The hotel is located in the business district, a bit far from the city center, which requires using the metro or a taxi to visit Sofia. Despite its slightly off-center location, the quality of the services makes it a sure bet, and I would gladly return on a future trip to Sofia.
GGuest UserThe Junior Suite was wonderful, essentially a studio apartment with a well-equipped kitchen and dining area, large windows, a private balcony seating area and extensive shelf space. The bathroom was very modern with a very nice tall shower. The beds were very comfortable and the room was large, with a couch. Definitely a great place for both short and long stays.
There were a few small inconveniences in the room, but nothing that affected our stay (water seemed to leak over the door of the shower onto the shower mat; toilet seat was very stiff and loud to open/close; closets were very wide but oddly short to accommodate extra drawers, so too small to hang dresses in full length; the automatic lighting inside the closets did not turn off correctly; and our key card stopped working in the middle of our stay and had to be fixed at the reception). The hotel is very close to a tram stop, so it's easy to get into the city center, and it's also very close to the Cultural Center. It is a bit more of a trek to walk into the city, but still possible in 20 minutes or so. The hotel is located on a small street off the main road and the sidewalk leading up to it is very narrow and in disrepair. You would not guess that the inside of the hotel is so sleek and modern based on the older surrounding area.
FFilipino Traveler & Entrepreneur - Beverly VegaHotel was nice, glad that I’ve found it online, it’s hard to find a good hotel to book online due to tons of negative feedbacks, but this one has a great feedback so I booked it. And it did not disappoint me.
Hotel is clean with good fragrance that you can smell the moment that you’ll enter the lobby / reception.
Service is great, friendly and accommodating staff. The room is spacious, seems like a 4 star room for me. They serve breakfast, with tons of seats where you can relax after check in while waiting for your next trip or flight.
I forgot my bag in their lounge area / lobby before I went to their restaurant to take coffee. Then was in a hurry to go to the car service I booked outside when it was already time to go to the bus station going to Romania. After arriving at the bus station, I noticed that my bag is not in my possession, when I was about to get my other phone. Because I have other luggages to carry and was in hurry.
I was worried sick that it will be lost, my bag, glad that it was there. The staff handed it over, they kept it, and nothing was missing. After getting it, I got an email from the booking app where I booked the hotel, telling me that Amar Design Hotel contacted them saying that I left my bag at the hotel. And they were asking for my contact number to reach me, they were to kind to do that right immediately. But I already got the bag.
Still thankful and grateful to their staff.
I would definitely check in here again when I get back to Sofia, and will recommend it to friends who are traveling here.
Thank you. It was a nice stay, and their service made it even great!
GGuest UserThe hotel overall is ok, clean and spacious . The night driver shuttle service guy who picked us up on 30 April is great. Very caring , called us to ensure we reach the airport.
However this stay take the crown of the worst receptionist award . The lady is dark skin, with curly hair tied up hair and was on duty on 1 May between 8.30-9.40 am. We booked the shuttle service at 8.30 am but since we will be running late we called reception to cancel the booking. Her reply was it cannot be cancelled you need to take a taxi to airport.
When we reached the reception at 8.55 am and asked again where is airport shuffle she said in a stern voice without any smile you must book via QRcode. we decided to wait at the main entrance for shuttle which did not show up. I went back to reception at 9.05 am and ask why did i missed the bus even though I was there at 8.55 am and she replied with a straight face it left at 9 am . I decided to book the shuttle bus via QR code at 9.30 am and waited at the main door. At 9.28 am there was no sign of bus, I went back to reception and she said wait for a few minutes. At 9.35 am , she was on the phone chatting but i saw 2 hotel guests going up the bus with their luggage on the side door(not main door) . I run to round up 4 other hotel guests to inform them the pick up is at side door and we quickly went up the bus. We found out that the receptionist told them to wait at the main entrance instead of the side entrance. so in the end we waited since 8.55 am till 9.35 am and missed the 9am shuttle bus and almost missed the 9.30am bus due to an extremely unhelpful receptionist who should not be in that role of hospitality if she feels that every query posed to her is a chore. Management of the office please review your service quality standards. This attitude is simply not acceptable and it is not a cheap hotel.
CCagbacovVery Disappointing Service – Not Worth the Price
I recently stayed at Hotel COOP Sofia and had an unpleasant experience with one of the receptionists, Mariana. When I called the reception to request some ice for my room, she informed me ,in a rather rude tone ! That the hotel does not deliver ice to rooms and that I had to come downstairs to collect it myself.
As I tried to explain that I had received ice in my room the previous evening, she abruptly hung up the phone. When I went down to the lobby to clarify the situation, I told her that her behavior was unacceptable and that an apology would be appropriate. Instead of apologizing, she claimed she was “too busy” and that there were “too many guests,” although the lobby was completely empty at the time.
She then asked, again in a dismissive way, whether I still wanted the ice. I requested to speak with her supervisor, but she pretended not to understand what I meant. Eventually, she brought me a small amount of ice in a paper cup. Only after I insisted did she return with an ice bucket and tongs.
This level of service is far below what one would expect from a four starts hotel of this category. The experience left a very negative impression, and I will certainly not stay here again.
Aside from this, the hotel’s facilities are average at best and do not justify the price. The only real advantage is the availability of parking, which also comes with an additional charge of €12 per day.
JJn_foodieBest 5 star property in Sofia hands down.
.The room was spacious with contemporary and minimalist design but still very functional. There's even a divider between the bathroom to the rest of the room so it felt like staying in a junior suite instead.
.The facilities were amazing, best indoor pool I've been to ever. It was fitted with all the aqua techs which provide so many massage options. There's also 2 types of saunas, a salt room, a steam room and even a ice tube filled with ice.
.The food at the hotel restaurant was amazing
.The service was so good because I was very frustrated and hangry as the QR code and the TV ordering system didn't work and I called the restaurant repeatedly and no one picked up. So I went down and spoke to Daria, who listened to my concerns and personally took me to the restaurant so that I can order something from the restaurant menu that I really wanted to take back to the room which is not supposed to be done. Diana from In Room Dining even came to deliver the food to my room for me, which actually wasn't her job. I felt looked after and treated like a guest in a 5 star property.
To top it up, we decided to have lunch at the hotel restaurant after checked out and met Vladislav, who gave us an amazing service from food to drinks. Absolutely perfect.
I will definitely come back to stay here next time I am in Sofia and will recommend it to everyone who's coming to Sofia.
CChabrior TurbuloThe location is excellent, with three metro lines just a short walk away, making it easy to get around the city. The rooms are spacious, well maintained, and very clean. The windows are highly soundproof, so outside noise is not an issue. The hotel also provides useful amenities, the lobby is welcoming, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Overall, I had a very good experience. The only downside was the housekeeping staff, who started talking loudly in the corridors early in the morning. Because the room doors are not well soundproofed, it sounded as though they were speaking right outside—or even inside—the room, which made it difficult to sleep. It would be much better if they communicated more quietly or found another way to coordinate instead of shouting in the hallways.
GGuest UserThe beds are designed to offer a good sense of personal space, with overhead storage and additional lockers, which is convenient (though some lockers were broken and couldn't be locked).
However, it seems a cleaning staff's family lives on-site. Their children would study in the shared kitchen, leaving it messy, or even sleep there. They also used the showers and toilets regularly, which initially made me uncomfortable as I didn't know who they were.
