"Very very good hotel, the software and hardware are not worse than the magnificent, especially the service staff is particularly well trained, warm and thoughtful, too few breakfast categories do not affect the possibility of choosing again. "The Standard Hotel in Brussels is located in the Northern Quarter, an area characterized by government buildings, offices, and a large number of 60s and 70s office blocks, making it sparsely populated. The hotel cleverly utilizes this somewhat cold, stark modernist urban backdrop by injecting color, warmth, abundant greenery, and local Brussels creative culture. The interiors were designed by Belgian architect Bernard Dubois. He masterfully blends design languages from different periods of the 20th century: from Art Deco, American and Belgian modernism, to postmodernism and the 80s. Warm wood finishes, 1930s-style carpets, and circular and arched structures are interspersed throughout, creating a retro yet timelessly chic look. The hotel also showcases numerous works by local Belgian artists. The most prominent piece at the entrance is Jan Janssens' ceramic sculpture, 'The Dance.' Jan often explores the human position within urban systems through figures and giant city architecture. 🙋🏾♀️One pro: It's absolutely beautiful! 😌One con: It's in a business district, so there aren't many restaurants or supermarkets nearby, which can be a bit inconvenient at night."

"The hotel is very close to FlixBus bus stop! There is a police station and halal supermarket for Muslim community behind the hotel. The hotel should consider having 2 front desk workers at a time instead of just 1 person manning the front desk. When there are group of people talking and running around at the hotel room corridor, I couldn’t find the front desk person to solve the problem as there was no one at the front desk."

"This beautiful boutique hotel gets five stars from us all round. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We had an amazing stay — everything was spotlessly clean, from the floor to the taps. The gym was brand new and immaculate. I loved the interior design of the hotel, from the colour scheme and décor to the furniture, coffee machine, cup and room amenities. It's clear that they pay attention to every little detail. Our room was quiet, which allowed us to recharge after our long-haul flight. We would definitely recommend it and can’t wait to go back."

"Service: I'm about to give the worst service review. On my first stay, your hotel's front desk had a Caucasian female employee who initially gave me half of a family suite. Only after I emphasized the room type I booked did she change it for me. The hotel wasn't so fully booked that she couldn't have assigned me the room I pre-booked. Why would you try to pass off a partitioned room as a full one, treating customers like fools? I was extremely angry about this. And it wasn't just the room assignment; the room card she gave me was just a plain power card. Couldn't she provide a proper, decent room card? It's hard for me not to suspect some malicious intent. I hope you can give me a satisfactory explanation. Otherwise, my overall review of this hotel is very positive. The accommodation environment is good, the room facilities are sufficient, the location is great, and transportation is convenient. The room design is also beautiful, and I took many photos. I highly recommend staying here. If I come to Brussels again, I would indeed choose Cardo again. However, the subtle malice from your front desk and the unpleasant check-in experience disappointed me so much that it nearly ruined my entire stay, even though everything else was perfect."

"The room is spacious, clean and the beds are comfortable. Staff are friendly too ! On this level that we stayed, there is a gym and sauna room too. We really enjoyed our stay here. Will stay in this hotel again if were to travel to Belgium again. Highly recommended if you are looking for a good place to rest and easy travelling to places like Grand Place, Mont des Art, Brussels North Train Station, etc. This hotel is also near to the station Rogier, it is within walking distance. Hence, it is easy to travel to other places. Many shops and eateries nearby. There is a beautiful Starbucks nearby too. Do have a cup of coffee there and enjoy. If you are looking for soup noodles, you must try Pho Pho opposite Thon Hotel. The noodles and soup are very tasty!"

"Plus: The room is really big. So is the bed. It is so big that makes me think as if it is king size bed to house politicians or prime minister from the 80s, 90s. There is heating both in the room and in the shower There is air con set in the room( but I didn't try to see if it works) This hotel is located less than 10 mins walk from Brussels north station Minus The room look really old. May be 90s, if not 80s. There is no carpet on the floor. It is really clean but it is really cold to step on. Bring your own slippers. The room is dim. And some lights were spoilt. Even if was told it is a non smoking room, the room has lingering smoking smell. Someone smoked in this room before. I told the front desk, he said he will check but when I return from the city , the smell is there still. The bathroom has some odd smell. May b smell of roaches, or roaches in the pipes. The shower curtain smell of mould and damp cloth/ damp laundry. The heating stop around 2am. May b there is max amount of heating one room could use. Make sure you time your heating usage carefully. The wall is really thin. You can hear when someone is around the lift, going towards their room or what next door is up to. I can hear everything happening outside, on the street, from police car n siren rushing up and down, to people wondering on the street, their conversation. I don't feel safe here. I can't relax and sleep. I don't like the paper cup given together with coffee and the place to brush teeth. May be the hotel suffer too often from being stolen . But that make the hotel rating dropping from 1star hotel to guest house. The toilet spoilt in the middle of the night and you can hear water flowing all night. Need to maneuver with the old school toilet pull button . I appreciate the effort they maintain it but personally I don't like it. unless you have really early bus or train to catch, and is on a shoe string budget then it is your choice."

"We reached the hotel in the early morning after a long distance flight. The staff were very welcoming and kindly let us use a private room to get changed before storing our luggages. The room was spacious and very clean. You can tell the staff had taken efforts to maintain them. We chose the hotel mainly for its location. It's close to the European Parliament (walkable). And you will find the hotel right after exiting the metro station, which means it's also very convenient for you to go to other tourist attractions. Highly recommend it!!"

"I'm very happy with our stay at the Brussels airport Park Inn by Radisson that smelled nice, easy access to a nice reception lobby that is next to guests restaurant with a garden view that is so peaceful and beautiful. Marius, the kind chief concierge officer, received us kindly, provided us with our requests, an accessibility room for my sister, handicapped shower room seat, and an immediate response to everything the hotel could provide. "The hotel room was clean and the hygiene was excellent. The bathroom featured high-end brand toiletries, which were of very good quality. The hotel's location is convenient to the station, about a 15-minute walk, which was very helpful."
