The hotel's location is super convenient; it's about a 10-minute walk to landmarks like London Street and Swan Tower. Since it's a historic building, there's no elevator. Check-in at the front desk was quite unique, as shown in picture 1. The room was very clean, and the fridge even had complimentary milk and mineral water. Checkout was simple – just drop the room card into the box on the ground floor. You need a password to enter and exit the main gate, which is printed on the room card sleeve.
Breakfast was interesting, served in an old building restaurant right next to the hotel. It's not a buffet; you order from a menu. My booking included breakfast, but when I got there, the server informed me that anything over $15 would be charged extra. There were only two options within the $15 limit: two slices of toast ($8) or two fried eggs plus two slices of toast ($15).

I stayed for 6 days, and it was my first time staying in an overseas hostel! Regarding amenities, nothing is provided, so you need to bring your own shampoo, body wash, etc. There are only showers. The cleanliness depends on the room you're in. My room was a bit messy because I was sharing it with someone who had been staying there for a long time. The hallway had boots and shoes from guests, but it wasn't inconvenient to walk through.
The communal kitchen and lobby were great for relaxing, which I really appreciated. There's also an exclusive guest area on the first floor where you can play games or eat. Since I was traveling solo this time, I didn't usually use it, but I found out about it when I had dinner with my roommate once. The reception staff were polite, energetic, and made for a pleasant experience.
It was also possible to store luggage after check-out; it was set up so you could put your bags in a luggage room yourself.

From Perth Airport, I took the train to Elizabeth Quay station and then walked about 15 minutes to the hotel. They didn't take a deposit when I checked in, only recorded my credit card number, and allowed us to check in much earlier than the official time, which I really appreciated.

Really enjoyed the hotel, we booked here as we had stayed at the vibe hotel in Adelaide .
All very good except , breakfast in Perth advertises fruit juice it’s not it’s a surgery drink, yuk !!
We were. Checked by a lovely lady, all good until I turned the lights on in the bathroom, lights were flashing, like strobe lights. Maintenance man came and said need an electrician which could be a few days., the lady who checked us in said we could change rooms , we decided to do so but went out for a walk first. On our return she was off duty and a male who was on was very rude he kept Insisting we didn’t need to change rooms the flashing light could be switched off as on a separate switch. I suggested the flashing lights could cause an epileptic fit. He kept insisting all the rooms had the same fault and he would take us to the room to show us how to get round the problem. I insisted on changing rooms because I could turn the wrong g light on in the dark. He then found a room but said he would go and check the room to see if that had flashing lights. We changed rooms but it was unpleasant and uncalled for , not good customer service!!! And spoiled our stay , after that if he was on reception we avoided him.all other staff were fabulous.

I am writing this to warn other travelers about a major security and privacy failure we experienced at Duxton Hotel WA.
Upon returning to our room at 8:55 PM, we were shocked to find our room door fully open and propped up with a wooden door wedge. Our room was located near the elevator, meaning our personal belongings and privacy were completely exposed to every passerby for nearly 5 hours (housekeeping finished at 4:30 PM).
The most disappointing part was the management's response. They admitted the mistake but refused a refund, justifying it by saying ”CCTV showed no one entered” and ”nothing was stolen.” This logic is absurd. Security is about prevention, not just reporting after a crime occurs. Whether or not someone entered is a matter of LUCK, but leaving the door open was a total failure of their ”Duty of Care.”
They offered a bottle of wine and breakfast, which we declined as it felt like a dismissive gesture for such a serious security issue. If you value your privacy and safety, think twice before staying here. A 5-star hotel should not have a 0-star security protocol.

A supporting hotel next to UWA University, uh, to send children to school, and only 200 meters away from the dormitory, the best option.
Less than 60 rooms, clean and simple, with a first-class lake view.
If you want to live in the best room type, you will not be disappointed. At first, I stayed at the edge, and then changed to the middle. I didn’t want to move. I stayed there for a week and took a taxi to the city.

The hotel is not far from Jay Chou's Blue House, facing Kings Park, with a good environment, new interior decoration, clean and sanitary, and a parking lot downstairs, which is convenient for parking. There is a small restaurant in the hotel. I haven't eaten there, but it looks neat and clean. You can have breakfast here when you are in a hurry.

As for the price, I managed to snag a 3-night consecutive stay package during a Ctrip promotion, which worked out to saving ¥1,000 per day! There's a large free parking lot, and it's about a 6-minute walk back to the hotel.

The hotel did not reply to my emails before arriving with questions and requests for my stay.
They provide filtered water in the restaurant which is great, however housekeeping never removed the bottles when they cleaned. They also changed my towels each day - despite the sign saying to leave them on the hook if you didn't want them changed.
The bed was extremely soft and not comfortable and the pillows were lumpy and too big.
Overall it was ok, clean enough and easy to find but I wouldn't return.

MMachineryWe enjoyed our stay when we started our trip to Perth and very happily to return at the end of our trip a month later. We love Quest and it’s our preferred place to stay wherever we travel. The facilities standard is consistent throughout the chain and we can easily make it our home.
We also like the location as it’s next to the Jacob’s ladder that leads to King’s Park. The free laundry including the laundry detergent is great. Kitchen equipped with cooktop, oven, microwave and dishwasher are also my favourite.The parking deal is very good $25/24 hours at the nearby Wilson Carpark (10 mins) walk as the street parking is $6.70/hour.

We were promised a voucher for 4 because our request for written birthday card for our kids in the room was forgotten but the voucher was also forgotten. We also noticed they do not offer any complimentary water bottle in the room. All in all we had a nice stay.

The cleanliness, however, is just so-so; the bath towels had noticeable black stains. On the first day, I ate takeout at the dining table, and when I returned the next evening, I found the oil stains were still there. The cleaning staff is not very thorough. Parking is $50 a night. Overall, it's great value for money. It's a 5-minute walk to the city, and there's a newly opened Mr. King Beef Noodle nearby which is pretty good.

The location is excellent, convenient for getting anywhere, and very close to Victoria Harbour with many bus stops nearby. It's also not far from the commercial street and Chinatown, easily walkable.

The accommodation itself was very cozy and comfortable.
Having Cole Mart, cafes, and restaurants all nearby was super convenient.
But the biggest highlight was being able to walk to the beach in under 3 minutes from the accommodation. It was perfect for staying with my 4-year-old child.

Took two phone calls to reception to get that. Other times, calls to receptions were unanswered or long. Carpark nearby so convenient. GGuest UserOverall, the hotel is pretty good, but the facilities definitely need an upgrade. We were assigned room 804, and on the day we checked in, it was about 36 degrees Celsius outside. The air conditioning in our room was broken, but we didn't realize it at first. We thought maybe it was just slow to cool down since the room faced west. However, after two hours, the room was still hot and stuffy. We promptly called the front desk, and when the receptionist came in, even he was surprised. Initially, he thought we might have set the AC incorrectly, but after checking, he confirmed it wasn't user error – the AC was indeed broken. The front desk then reported our situation to the manager, and they moved us to a room with two separate bedrooms, which I guess was compensation for enduring two hours of extreme heat. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but it's well-balanced and nutritious. The hotel's location is also quite good, making it very convenient for getting around.
