Right in Gion! Very convenient:) Loved the huge bed! This bed is probably the biggest I’ve seen in Japan 😂 Room was sufficient, they provided everything we needed, spacious enough to open two suitcases. The hotel provides snacks and coffee at the lobby. Nice!

A little gem of a hotel right in the middle of Kyoto! Location could not be better. The hotel itself is "Japan sized" (rooms are small) but the space is so cleverly used I spent more time marvelling at the efficiency in design than worrying about the lack of space. Service similarly was very efficient, what was provided was what was needed and done to a high standard. Rooms were not cleaned every day but nice fresh towels were provided every morning. There was no laundry service but there were excellent coin operated laundry machines. Would certainly stay here the next time I return to Kyoto!

Love how it is located nearby Gion and tourist area. 

The hotel is beautiful and well located, public bathroom issues also great. Staffs are super friendly and helpful. On the other side, room is too small. Automatic toilet has very bad smell and cannot get rid of that smell. Drying machines at the laundry are super dirty, after washing and drying, tons of dust on my clothes.

Can‘t praise the Granbell Hotel enough. Great location. Nice stylish room. Reasonable price. We habe breakfast from a nearby Starbucks but the buffet looked ok. Laundry service in the basement.

This is my second stay. I love the location, convenience to get around and the onsen in the basement. My pet peeve is their procedure to take a CC deposit to make a restaurant reservation call which caused time wasted back and forth to find out the restaurant was fully booked. 

Lovely staff, rooms a bit on the small side. Breakfast not great.

Excellent Service. Good Location

The location of the hotel is very convenient. It is close to the train stations and bus stations. The temples are also within walking distance.

Super good location and friendly staffs but is a trouble to go to the front desk to collect toothbrushes…,

Location is good.

Convenient transportation, lots of delicious food nearby. There is a good kebab shop in the alley next to it.

The room is not big but clean and tidy. The surprise is that there is a public bathing and showering area. It is not crowded and very comfortable. The only strange thing is that there is no electrical socket in the room.

The location is very good, very close to Shijo Kawase-cho, and only a few minutes' walk to Hanami-koji. There are so many things to do around. The service is semi-self-service, you have to put the garbage at the door yourself, hang the towel on the door handle every day, and you have to get your own toothbrush and water. I want to complain about the service of this hotel. One day I went to the front desk to ask for a few bottles of water, but they said they were out... Several Southeast Asian waiters were a bit racist, and the service was quite differentiated. The room is very small, you can refer to the pictures, but the bed is quite big. Anyway, in Kyoto, you mainly go out to walk around, and you just sleep when you come back. If you don't mind, you can make do with it.
