The hotel is in a great location with convenient transportation. The price didn't increase much during the New Year. The front desk provided a lot of things, free coffee and juice. You can also take a hot spring bath on the top floor. The experience was great!

Great hotel and wonderful location. The subway near by is a small terminal for the HK line which is helpful to go directly to monkey park & bamboo forest and direct to Osaka (~5min walk). Also the market is near by (less than 5 min walk). The baths were great, always had clean towel, maybe even too many lol. Rooms are small like rest of urban Japan but everything was great. Only complaint would be the smoking room is tiny (max 3 people) wish they had an outdoor option too.

cozy and simple place, loved the free flow drinks at the lobby, plenty of amenities available to take at the lobby, they change towel upon request, they give 2 bottles of water everyday, great location, staff are friendly as well! would definitely recommend to others looking for a place to stay! it’s abit small but worth the price

I was looking for a hotel in the center of Kyoto and chose this one. It is located between Shijo Station and Karasuma Oike Station on the Karasuma Subway Line, and it is about a 2-3 minute walk from the closer Shijo Station. Shijo Station is connected to the Hankyu Kyoto Line (Karasuma Station), and Karasuma Oike Station is connected to the Tozai Subway Line, so it is convenient to go here and there. It faces Karasuma-dori, but the entrance is at the end of an alley-like space on the side of the building, so if you miss the sign, you may pass it by. It seems to have opened in 2012, so it has been more than 10 years, but the building as a whole was well cleaned and there was no shortage of facilities and equipment in the room. Although I did not use it, there is a washing machine in the room, so I think it is convenient for people staying multiple nights. The guest room floors were strangely designed with atriums in some places. There was also a large public bath on the 11th floor (I did not use it either). I had planned to take a plan without meals, but there was a "Morning Bread Present Fair" in place, and bread and drinks were free. (Bread and drinks alone were not enough, so I bought boiled rice* for breakfast at a convenience store the night before.) I also liked the fact that they could store my luggage before check-in and after check-out.
