"The hotel is a 7-8 minute walk from Kyoto Station, with a convenience store right next door. We stayed during the summer. While waiting for our transport at the main entrance, there were so many mosquitoes! My child got bitten 6 times instantly, which was incredibly frustrating. I then noticed two or three on my own hand. The sheer number of mosquitoes was very off-putting, especially since we didn't encounter any while shopping in the Kawaramachi area in the evening. I'm not sure why there was such a difference. The room itself was quite spacious for a Japanese hotel. They offered late-night snacks in the lobby. Unfortunately, there was construction going on nearby, so we were woken up early by the noise. Otherwise, it was pretty unremarkable, with a standard star-rated hotel decor."

"The room was excellent, with comfortable bedding and a spacious layout. The bathroom didn't have a bathtub, which is a bit uncommon for Japan, but the space was still decent. The separate washroom area was practically laid out and spacious. The front desk staff were very patient. The male staff members were bilingual (Japanese/English), and the female staff members were also bilingual (Japanese/Chinese), making for a quick check-in process. The lobby on the first floor was quite spacious, providing a good spot for a temporary rest. They offered complimentary sugar-free beverages (available until 9 PM or 9:30 PM) and there was an ice machine. The location was also excellent. It's about a 7-minute walk to Sanjo subway station, and close to the bustling Sanjo and Shijo districts, roughly a ten to fifteen-minute walk away. You can also walk to Yasaka Shrine, which takes less than half an hour. I didn't pay much attention to what was around the immediate vicinity, and I was a little disappointed that there weren't any major department stores nearby, but since my stay was short, it didn't really impact my experience. Finally, a few minor points for improvement: The bathroom walls weren't tiled but rather made of plastic panels (a minor detail, not a big deal). Also, the number of washing machines and dryers was too limited – it seemed there was only one or two. Overall, I was extremely satisfied. If the price is right on my next visit to Kyoto, I would definitely stay here again."

"As we were traveling with two children, we opted for a two-bedroom apartment. It was very spacious and perfectly suited for a family trip. The hotel features self-service check-in, so I can't really comment on staff interactions. We completed the necessary registration via email beforehand, making check-in incredibly smooth and quick, taking only 2-3 minutes. The hotel is located about 3-4 km from Kyoto Station, which some might consider a bit inconvenient. However, since we took a taxi, we didn't find the distance an issue. It's very close to Hanami-koji and about 2 km from the Kamo River, and the surrounding area is wonderfully quiet. Cleanliness, as expected in Japan, was impeccable – you never have to worry about their high standards for hygiene. Our room also came with a kitchen, perfect for preparing simple meals and washing fruits. We also had the opportunity to experience the hotel's private spa and sauna, which were also excellent."

"A very satisfying stay at this B&B. The room was very clean. Although it was not big, it had all the necessary facilities. There were two beds and a sofa bed. There was a staff at the front desk on the first floor, so it was very convenient for us to check in."

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is absolutely perfect — right in the heart of Kyoto city. It’s just a short walk to both the train and bus stations, which made getting around super convenient. Plus, it’s very close to major shopping malls Takashimaya where you can buy Marukyu koyamaen matcha. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. They also have a washing machine and dryer available, which is really convenient for longer stays. However, there’s only one of each, so if it gets busy, you might need to wait your turn. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kyoto! They also has nearby Izakaya that the owner was so kind and foreigner friendly welcome."

"Minn Gion Kamogawa Experience: Excellent Location, Value for Money I made the right choice staying at this hotel in Kyoto! The location is impeccable—right next to the flower path, right next to the Kamogawa River, and close to Sanjo. It's incredibly convenient for commuting, visiting attractions, and shopping. You can explore so much of Kyoto on foot—a true dream for those who want to spend their leisure time. The rooms are surprisingly spacious, especially the triple and quad rooms. They're spacious and comfortable for a group. The rooms come with a refrigerator and microwave, making them very convenient for daily use. The washer-dryer on the first floor is also very practical, costing around 500-700 yen and easy to use, making it perfect for short stays. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and worry-free. One minor drawback is that they don't provide cleaning or trash removal within seven days. It's a bit like a self-service B&B. It's comfortable for a one- or two-day stay, but longer stays might require more effort, and extra cleaning will cost extra. But overall, the price is very reasonable, and considering the location, space and convenience, the cost-effectiveness is really high. It is worth considering visiting Kyoto!"

"The subway station is less than a 5-minute walk away, especially considering it's only one stop from Kyoto Station. Located in a residential area, it's quiet with few shops nearby, and the rooms are well-insulated, a great advantage for those who prefer noise-free accommodations. A 7-11 and FamilyMart are located on the way to the subway station. Bathroom amenities are provided, but personal toiletries are at your own expense. The kitchen, washing machine, and refrigerator/freezer are also very convenient, making them a great option. The bathroom flooring seems to dry easily, which is quite nice. The room design offers a mix of Japanese and modern styles, making it quite pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful."

"A family of 6 travels, it is too suitable. Typical Japanese-style one-family building, you can feel the authentic Japanese culture on the first day in Japan. The room was clean and tidy, not far from Kyoto Station by taxi, within 10 minutes."
