No. 1 of Scenic Hotels in Akita Prefecture"Hotel and rooms are old but still nice. Direct Lake View is great. Unfortunately hotel is profit oriented instead of customer oriented. Be customer focused and profit will follow…. Outside onsen is basic but with nice view. Everything overpriced! (Set Dinner 11 000 Yen !! Choose please! Either you upgrade and can ask these over the top prices, or you leave everything in this very old state, but then do not expect people to pay these rates… Also music in corridor too loud. Wakes up everybody around 6AM…. Only hotel where there was no lounge happy hour with some free drinks and snacks…."

"This place is extraordinarily overpriced for what it is. I expected much more amenities and service.
Although the staff were friendly and courteous, the place was fairly bland. The onsen was mediocre and there were no refreshments afterwards unless you wanted to go to a vending machine. Even Dormy Inn provides refreshments after the onsen but at Towado Hotel having to pay for them and not even the nice ones is ridiculous when you have to pay so much to stay here. The same for the relaxation chair. It is coin-operated not complementary.
I would not recommend staying here if you’re looking for a luxury experience because although you pay for that, it’s definitely nowhere near that. Our Western style room was very basic, and it just didn’t have those special finishing touches I had hoped for. "

"Yugetsu Guesthouse is a rather old-fashioned place, reasonably clean, not many guests, has a hot spring, but the water in the shower isn't hot. Dinner and breakfast are decent. It's very close to Lake Towada, just a short walk from the doorway, located on the border of two prefectures (Aomori and Akita)."

"The hotel is located on the shore of Lake Towada. The surrounding scenery is very beautiful. For dinner, there is delicious freshly grilled seafood, and there are service staff at the table. It is very delicious, but the cleanliness of the large public bath still has room for improvement."
