Find 3-Star Hotels in Kobe

The basics done right. This is what Sotetsu Fresa Inn Sannomiya does well. It's a fantastic location less than 5 minutes away from Sannomiya Station, which is the heart of transportation in Kobe. The facilities are basic, but done really well. The beds are comfy and the water is indeed soft. I enjoyed my stay.

Nice location, and decently sized rooms. I am rather large myself, 188cm, so like most Japanese hotels, size is always an issue for me, but it would be fine for anyone around 170cm. Cleaniness is fine, and lifts move quick. Wifi is good. Room service is on request, but they supply fresh towels every day. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

Very convenient location to public transit terminals and stores/restaurants. Very clean with all necessities provided. Plus, free drink time each day to relax and enjoy your peaceful time after a day’s busy schedule. We used this hotel as a base for visit to Kobe, Himeji and Awaji Island

The hotel is located not too far away from The JR Bus station. There is a free shuttle bus service to and from the hotel. It is also a short walk to the ropeway station going up to the Roku mountain. Overall, staff services is good. Dinner and breakfast are great. Despite the hotel appears to be a little old, it preserves a traditional Japanese setting and relax atmosphere. It id worth to revisit.

Dormy has been a fave of mine. The last time I patronise Dormy was 2023. I have since moved on to Nono. My recent visit to Dormy, Kobe was a by default due to the absence of Nono. Moreover, its Onsen is well designed and the better than most hotels in Kobe. Areas Dormy should improve on: 1. Overcrowded breakfast experience. Some kind of timing or queue sequencing (like Nono) should be in place. 2. Food quality has dropped! Prawn tempura and katsu are with minimal meat and mostly flour! Fruits and salad are so low in selections and quality. 3. Seating management was overwhelmed by tour groups. This also made breakfast experience lousy! Either specify timing for tour group breakfast or extend breakfast timing to ensure better spread of guests. 4. Low quality F&B: Rice was cooked in the most non-Japanese way! Staffs were unenthusiastic. Food decoration also sloppy! The 前菜 look unappertising! 5. Amenities area adjacent to the bath. Rethink how to ensure the cleanliness and safety. The place is very often overflowing with ice cubes and used paper cups ; and wet floor near the machines. Trip.com provides good discount. It is time to segregate offerings based on level of privacy and comfort; and Hotels that take on tour-groups and non Tour-group. This will great help in hotel choice-making.

I recently stayed at the Kobe Sannomiya Tokyu Rei Hotel during my visit to the Kobe Exhibition, and I must say it was an excellent choice. The location is ideal, just a 15-minute subway ride to the exhibition center, with a direct line making the journey straightforward and hassle-free. The hotel's proximity to the subway is a major plus, offering seamless travel around the city. Notably, there's only one line change required to get to Osaka, making it convenient for day trips or additional business meetings. Surrounding the hotel, you'll find a plethora of restaurants catering to all tastes, ensuring you won't go hungry. Additionally, there's a massage center nearby, perfect for relaxing after a long day of activities. For those traveling by night buses, the station is conveniently close, making late-night travel plans easy to manage. While the hotel amenities were generally good, I did miss the availability of free coffee, which would have been a nice touch. However, this was a minor issue in an otherwise excellent stay. Overall, I highly recommend the Kobe Sannomiya Tokyu Rei Hotel for its prime location, convenience, and the abundance of nearby facilities. It’s an ideal choice for anyone visiting Kobe, whether for business or leisure.

This hotel was near station. Not too noisy even it located at busy street. Staff were nice and helpful. Coffee, cakes were ready outside the check in counter. It was user friendly as we were hungry whne arrived hostel. Possbly, I will re-book this if go to Kobe again.

This hotel is especially suitable for solo travelers who have been to Japan countless times. I originally booked a single room, but I didn't expect the surprise to come so suddenly. It was so satisfying to explore the daily life of the locals. There is a library and countless mom-pops within a few minutes' walk, a coop near the JR station, and hot springs. The streets here hide the small and beautiful life of a small city.
