A hybrid tipi style canvas bell tent sits atop a reclaimed wooden deck. The uninsulated canvas tent is outfitted with a queen size bed made up European style with feather duvet (no top sheet) and quality linens. Other furnishings include dresser, Keurig coffee/tea service, games/books, space heater, and comfy seating outfitting the inside. The real treat? a spa like private western red cedar bath house bringing you truly closer to nature with the organic design, raw wood finish, and outdoor shower under the trees. Some of the cedar used in the bath house was reclaimed from leftover timber in clear cuts of the Olympic Peninsula. Outdoor loungers, string lights and a fire pit. 9Mile Farm Forest Tipi experience may not be for everyone if you are uneasy without strong wifi, room service, a roof over your head, a lock on a door, early morning farm noises, or really nature this may not be your cup of tea. Be honest with yourself, does this listing sound intriguing or terrifying? if the latter please rethink before booking. Please understand that the farm is undergoing constant improvements & various projects may be underway during your visit. We try to keep it tidy but realistically that just isn't always possible. Centrally located on the sound near Poulsbo, Bremerton and Silverdale. About one mile from Brownsville marina where you can launch your watercraft. Beautiful primary suite on main floor with water view, comfortable king bed, bedding to die for and a great primary bathroom with soaker tub. Upstairs bedroom has even more gorgeous view of water and also a view of Mount Rainer, with comfortable queen bed, great bedding, and full bathroom. Main floor has fully equipped gourmet kitchen with Jenn Aire stove, 2 eating areas and cozy living room with propane fireplace, to enjoy movies, games and family time. Deck off the dining area to enjoy the water views. Main floor also has an additional bedroom/office with queen bed fold out couch. Walk out basement has 2 bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with a queen bed and a large family room with sectional couch and foosball table. Sauna and full laundry facilities in the basement area. Can easily sleep 10-12 people.

Our cozy cottage features stunning views of Dyes Inlet. It is also a bird lover's paradise with so much activity right within view of the cottage! The sunrise views are truly amazing & you can enjoy them while enjoying your morning coffee on the nice big deck, but make sure you catch a sunset as well. It is fully furnished & includes 1 bedroom with closet, 1 bathroom & a full kitchen/dining room with refrigerator, range, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven & all the essentials. Additional amenities include TV, DVDs & player, books & games, wi-fi, grill, use of canoe, kayaks, bikes & rubber boots.
The Property
We are on 2.8 acres with a large amount of waterfront. The tide goes in and out twice a day. The cottage has a covered parking space and additional parking is available upon request. There is a personal a gas grill on the deck and you are allowed to use the canoe or kayaks (with a signed waiver). We have a large canoe as well as 3 adult and one child kayaks. We also provide most sizes of rubber boots for beach combing and several lawn games.
During low tide, you can walk around the point as long as you stay on the beach. We have 2 big friendly dogs and 2 cats on the property that might want to visit you when you are outside, but they are not allowed inside the cottage. There are also goats and chickens you can visit if you'd like. Feel free to explore the small nature trail, play the 6-goal disc golf course, or hang out at the beach front picnic table - when weather permits.
