"Warm, attentive and personalble welcome from the receptionist. Met all my needs immediately. Asked what milk I needed for the morning. Gave me 4 options where I could eat my dinner(room, bar or restaurant, lounge). The quality of the decor is 4+ standard. Bathrooms were clearly new. And general investment in the tone and fabric of the place matched the setting for the majestic highlands. Don’t usually do any feedback but in the age of sh!t service and less than premium inns, this type of service matters."

Forces Manor ★★★

"A group of us from our first Tp in Germany have now decided to have regular meet ups because this apart from basic training is where our army family began. So Forces Manor was in a fantastic location with lots to do in the area. Tony the owner of the manor is trying to expand some more of its site to facilitate other avenues. The reception rooms are decorated in military pictures and memorabilia and very spacious. The kitchen is very large to allow large groups to be able to cook. The bar is to be stocked by yourself and clearly as veterans or serving members don’t find that too hard to do 😉. Tony does live on site and is extremely friendly and helpful, he has a pup Labrador Coda who is also extremely friendly. We’ve already planned our next stay there. Top marks Tony on what your trying and in my honest opinion achieving."

"Just spent a very enjoyable night at The MacInnes House Hotel. The place was spotless and our room was spacious and very comfortable. We had our evening meal and breakfast the next morning and the food was excellent. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful with a special mention to Liz and Allan. We would definitely consider returning if we were in the area again."

"A very nice experience to stay for a place with a long history. The location is extremely easy to find, with plenty of parking. Food and supermarket are also available at short walking distance. Room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was awesome, it is one of the best Scottish breakfast I have experienced. "

"Comfortable bedroom but old fashioned and tired. The rest of the house is cluttered and untidy. Breakfast was OK. Host was friendly. This could be a great place to stay but it needs a revamp. There were old vacuum cleaners, broken lamps and chaos in the office."
