"Everything was perfect , lovely welcome , the room was gorgeous , food wonderful , the hotel itself beautifully decorated and tables laid for the meal , very friendly and accomodating staff , nice atmosphere ,and nice deal for a night away , we were down to see a singer and show in the Duke of Gordon Hotel , but made the decision to stay in the Star for the quality .Both of us had a wonderful night away , would recommend ."

"A very nice experience to stay for a place with a long history. The location is extremely easy to find, with plenty of parking. Food and supermarket are also available at short walking distance. Room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was awesome, it is one of the best Scottish breakfast I have experienced. "

"We stayed at Forces Manor parents and 2 adult kids and it was brilliant. The place is a work in process and is dedicated to supporting military personnel. Tony the proprietor met us toured us through the place and provide insight into things to do. Over the weekend he had some of his mates from the forces in they were engaging and interest guys a credit to the British military and they asked if we wanted to share the big meals they prepared in the commercial kitchen. We bought our own food and used the kitchen for breakfasts and a couple evening meals. Forces Manor gives you an experience you could never get stay anywhere else. We would definitely return."
