Hotel Crown Hills Kimitsu ★★★

📍 4-chōme-1-11 Higashisakada, Kimitsu

"Hotel Review Although it's close to the station, there are only a convenience store and a family restaurant nearby, and the local supermarket is open until 9 PM. Kimitsu can feel a bit lonely at night. The hotel appears to have been converted from a former apartment building, and the first-floor bathroom is unlocked and has been converted into a unit bath. Napkins were provided. A welcome drink was only offered once. There was also instant miso soup and hot chocolate, but I wondered if I could drink them. Free coffee was provided, which was helpful. Breakfast was scheduled to start at 6:30 AM, but the breakfast voucher said it actually started at 6:15 AM. I wish they had told me. The variety of Japanese food was extensive and satisfying. They also had grated yam. The plain curry wasn't very tasty. I knew the women's bath was only available at night, so I went in late, but there were only three washbasins. The water was so lukewarm I couldn't refill it, so I didn't need to. I probably won't stay here again. A lukewarm family bath. I don't even read manga. I was excited after seeing the photos, but the town is deserted."

Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Kimitsu No Mori

Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Kimitsu No Mori ★★★★

📍 384-119 Hōgi, Kimitsu

"Compared to Itoen Hotel (a typical hotel), the facilities are one rank higher, the accommodation fee is roughly 1.5 times higher, the buffet (food) content is almost the same (alcohol is charged so that may be a minus), the room and bath are excellent (cleanliness and water temperature), and the staff were friendly. The surrounding scenery is mountain after mountain with many cedar forests, so it's not rich in nature, and the scenery isn't that great either. There are walking paths, but the staff didn't recommend them, but it was winter so it wasn't a problem. In summer, you might encounter mosquitoes or animals. The service of having ice dispensers on each floor was good. Also, it was nice that two room keys were provided. It's fine if you're going with a large group, but if you want to enjoy a quiet dinner with your family, the buffet is a bit disappointing."

Hotel Kimitsu Hills ★★★

📍 2 Chome-21-41 Hitomi, Kimitsu

"I was pleasantly surprised by the welcome drinks, especially that alcoholic options like highballs were available. It's limited to one per person, though. Apart from the in-room bath, there was a public bath, which was advertised as being open until 11 PM. However, despite being called a 'large public bath,' it wasn't particularly spacious. The amenities provided were comprehensive."

📍 4 Chome-9-1 Nakano, Kimitsu

"The smell of cigarette smoke filled the air and the room was rather dull. The breakfast has many varieties and tastes good. "

Kameyama Onsen Hotel

Kameyama Onsen Hotel ★★★

📍 65 Toyodakyusugamata, Kimitsu

"It has a family-run hotel feel, with some areas for parent-child activities. The free hot spring baths are not open-air; all open-air hot springs require a fee and reservation. The breakfast is so-so."

Hotel Crown Hills Kimitsu ★★★
"I stayed at this hotel for nine days. Currently, the hotel's cleaning staff are all of Indian and Pakistani descent. On the fourth day of my stay, around noon, I returned to the hotel and found that although a sign had been posted requesting room cleaning, neither of my two rooms had been cleaned. I immediately requested cleaning from the hotel. A middle-aged man was very polite and asked my child and me to wait in the lobby, saying that cleaning had been arranged. My child and I waited for about 20 minutes, thinking of going to the front desk to inquire when the cleaning would be finished and we could return to our room. Several Japanese guests were checking in at the time, so I waited until all the other guests had finished before approaching them. A middle-aged Japanese woman greeted me, and she immediately adopted a very arrogant expression, saying, "We have guests here now, please wait over there." I said, "We don't have any guests here right now, and I've been waiting for several tens of minutes. I'd like to know when the cleaning will be finished so I can go back to my room." She immediately said to me, "Please wait!" In other words, she said, "You wait over there!" She even rolled her eyes at me. I was instantly furious. I told her, "Your attitude is appalling. The fault lies with your hotel. As someone in the service industry, where is your manners? What kind of training did you receive? If you don't apologize, I'm going to file a complaint with your tourism bureau." The woman didn't say a word and just kept her head down. Later, the middle-aged man who had been more polite came and apologized. I asked him who the woman was, and he told me she was the manager of their hotel. 😒 I was speechless."

"We really enjoy their hot spring, especially the sauna. For dinner and breakfast, there is a wide variety of choices, and you won't be disappointed. However, one downside is that they don't speak English, which can be a challenge."

"The price includes breakfast, which is cost-effective. The breakfast is not rich but filling, suitable for business travelers in the morning. The corridor and the room are spacious, but the table in the room is too small, and it is not convenient to put things. I don’t know why there is no bigger table. Anyway, the spare space in the room is empty. The same is true for the bathroom. The table for putting things is too small. There is no table for putting things except the hotel’s toiletries. The wash basin is small, but it is equipped with an oversized faucet, which is a hindrance to washing hands and face. I don’t know what the person who modified it thought. See the photos for details."

"There are few smoking areas around the station, so it's great to have a room where you can smoke. The breakfast was substantial. There aren't many shops in the area, so it's great."

"This inn is worth the trip. I was unable to let them know i would have a late check in. However when I arrived they served me dinner within a couple minutes, which i was not expecting. Amazing dishes, amazing facilities, and the most beautiful location. Theres a really nice niche karaoke bar nearby too if your into that sort of thing. 10/10 recommend."

"The bed and pillows were both very comfortable. There are five rooftop open-air baths, each with its own unique character. While the paid Amaterasu no Yu is a bit pricey, the other free ones are equally good and I slept very well. There aren't many restaurants nearby, and it's about a 10-minute walk to a local shop. One place I like is OISHINBO hajimenchi, which is delicious and affordable. If the weather is nice, you can take the bus to Futtsu Park to see the ocean—perfect for those who enjoy a quieter stay and want to fully experience the local atmosphere. The owner of the nearby izakaya, Etsu-chan, is very friendly and welcoming. It's a long-established establishment, and if you have no language barriers, you'll have a great time chatting."
