STC.SAFARI LODGE
Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge
"Arrival drinks and hot towel by the staff which we were so great full for after a long drive I wish I took photos of the room, unfortunately I only got a quick video. The Pool view was the best bit. Lunch menu was nice (set menu), staff were friendly and attentive. But the room its self was disappointing, very traditional but worn. The floor I’m assuming had not long been painted as it has stained my trainers. Our shower was small with a dated shower curtain. To be honest all the textiles in the room were dated. The bathroom doors were a bit stiff, we couldn’t shut ours without slamming it or pushing the door latch in, the neighbours were the same. We could here them at 5am in the morning taking a shower Shame as it’s a 4*. Clean comfy bed though. Loud rooms, you can hear everything next door. When they get up at 5am shut bathroom doors, open the fly nets and putting the shower on, our side would whistle really loud. Dated room, kettle wouldn’t work at first but managed to get it to. Fly net had holes in and weren’t placed on the tracks right."
Patamu Restaurant & Lodge
"Lovely place with a good restaurant and delicious breakfast."
Africa Safari Karatu
"Stayed here for 1 night. Had two connecting rooms. There was construction going on and construction staff was working right outside the balcony and we didn't feel the privacy. This was our 3rd accommodation on our safari and were sort of disappointed with the hospitality, food. Rooms are clean, big. Shower is excellent, doesn't have exhaust so can get very foggy due to steam. There is no Wifi in room and cellular service is spotty. If you need any help from hotel staff /reception there is no telephone in the room or numbers provided in case of emergency. Only way is to run to the reception, which can be up the hill depending on where room is located. Food was average, we ate mostly the buffet ( had good vegetarian options) Service was bit slow. Its about 1-1.5 hour from the Ngorongoro crater. Road to the lodge is dusty and bumpy. If you are planning to travel with people having mobility issues, plan ahead. The restaurant, pool and reception are up on the up hill. We didn't see any golf carts to help with transportation. Views are great, was able to enjoy the sunset. Pool is outdoors we didn't use it. Hotel was very busy due to high tourist season."
Peak Hotel
"I fell in love with their rooms, beds and everything the quiet atmosphere and their service is just perfect. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are fully equipped and very clean. Whenever I think of going to Karatu my first choice in mind is The peak Hotel"
Turaco Ngorongoro Valley, a Tribute Portfolio Lodge
"It was an amazing stay at Turaco. The beautiful property with the very accommodating staff really made our stay memorable. The food was awesome too. They prepared it according to the kids preference too."
Omega View Hotel & Resort
"Due to a big goof-up by our travel agent, we had to spend a night at Karatu, just outside the Ngorongoro conservation area and we picked Omegaview that same morning we were due to check in as it had availability. The hotel comes at a price way cheaper than the luxury camps or lodges and so obviously, its facilities are more basic. The staff tried very hard to please us and even made dishes which we requested when we found the buffet did not have much for vegetarians. The hotel is decent and provides value for money,"
Njia Panda Tented Lodge and Campsite
"I had an incredible welcome here with unbelievably kind staff and amazing food. The tented lodges are very beautiful. An overall lovely stay."
Ngorongoro Corridor Lodge
"The staff here are very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and they had hot milk as opposed to just powdered milk. The shower had hot water and good pressure. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. This was one of my favorite places that I stayed at during my 3 weeks in Tanzania."

Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge
"We are a family of 3 and we stayed at this beautiful lodge 2 times during our Northern Circuit Safari. Both times were excellent - we were looked after and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. Special mention to Nobert, Mwinyi, and Gift who made our stay extra memorable. Christopher, the manager, was approachable too. The suite was very cozy and large with a nice forest view. The Maasai also toured us around the property where we saw the Maasai Boma and the property’s farm. It was amazing to see some buffalos around the property as well! The food was excellent with various choices. They accomodated our requests well. It was a special moment when the whole staff celebrated our 10yrs wedding anniversary by singing and dancing. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and we will miss the friendly staff of Neptune Ngorongoro!"
Wellworth Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge
"Fantastic views in the hotel room and nice sunrise views in the morning. Super swimming pool"
Wellworth Ngorongoro O'Ldeani Mountain Lodge
"We had a fantastic stay at Ngorongoro O’Ideani Mountain Lodge during our 7-day safari. This lodge is beautiful, luxurious and in a stunning location. The food was superb throughout our stay, and the Boma dinner was a real highlight. A special thanks to Laizer, our waiter, whose friendly and attentive service made our experience even more enjoyable. All of the staff were welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend this wonderful lodge."
