I recently stayed at St Giles Johor Bahru and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The service was good, the staff were friendly, and the check-in/check-out process was smooth. The room and hotel facilities were clean and well-maintained, which made the stay comfortable.
For breakfast, the selection was quite good, and one highlight was the lamb curry, a dish that most hotels don’t usually offer.
The only downside is the lack of dedicated parking for hotel guests. Parking is shared with the mall, which means it can be quite a walk to the hotel lift. On top of that, parking costs RM5 each time you exit and re-enter, which can be inconvenient for guests who need to drive frequently.
Overall, St Giles JB is a comfortable hotel with good service and enjoyable food, but the parking arrangement could be improved.

Booked twin room with breakfast. Arrived early but unable to check in. Quite strict with check in being at 3pm. But we requested extra bed and towels to be set up and they fulfilled it. Room and toilet was clean and neat. Liked the little corner seat by the window. Breakfast spread was huge and decent. Freeflow of water and Bandung at lobby was a nice touch. Staff made a mistake by charging me thou room amount was already paid by 3rd party booking. Have yet to receive my refund. Front office staff should be attentive to such matters not to repeat same mistake.

We love the welcome, the service and the location of hotel. We did experience a little delay at the breakfast reception due to overwhelming crowd during school holidays, but otherwise all was good.

Location is ideal esp with elderly/kids cos can juz go up/back room to rest if they're tired fr shopping/walking. Mall size isnt 'too big' too walk so juz "right" for a short staycation.
Swimming pool rather small. Biz lounge would be a good place to relax the view over a glass of wine (provided no children around/permitted)
Breakfast food quality and spread wise not as good compared to other similarly priced hotel.
Staffs are attentive giving prompt service with ready smiles (good training by hotel mgmt)
Room is clean well stocked with coffee/tea etc, except the bathrobes & towels seem 'well-used' , dun have that freshly washed smell/feel one expects from established big hotels. Also the bed doesnt give one a really good night sleep on it....ended up with some body aches, so perhaps its time to replace the mattress :P

First time staying, great convenience as its beside the malls. Would come back again. However, skip the breakfast, I’ve seen better breakfast being served in other hotels. And there’s more dining options outside the hotel.

One of the better hotels in JB! We chose the his hotel because there is ev charger here!
The attention to detail in their service could be felt from the moment we stepped into the lobby. We were there to celebrate a birthday, and the surprise decorations were such a lovely touch — a birthday cake waiting on the table, and balloons with a birthday banner beautifully arranged on the bed.
Even the essentials, like the shampoo and body wash, smelled great. The hotel itself feels quite new and is very well maintained. Overall, a wonderful stay and we’ll definitely be back! Looking forward to tomorrow’s breakfast spread too! 🍽️✨
