Hotel near Yau Ma Tei,Hong Kong
The Yesinn @YMT Youth Hostel is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Yesinn @YMT Youth Hostel offers a pleasant stay in Hong Kong for those traveling for business or leisure. Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 1km from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station and 31km from Hong Kong International Airport. The closest major public transportation, Yau Ma Tei Metro Station, is only 400m away. With multiple attractions nearby including Mong Kok, Yau Ma Tei and West Kowloon Cultural District, guests will find plenty to keep themselves occupied. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. For guests traveling alone, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"The is called a Youth Hostel, though if you are a more mature person looking for a cheap ensuite room to stay in , then this is the place for you. If you have booked a private room you will not be experiencing any type of hostel vibe if you do not wish and will not be disturbed by groups of backpackers. Apart from check in, you will get the elevator straight to your floor view it just as a cheap hotel. If you are a backpacker looking for a cheap and convenient place to stay , then this is for you. If you are the type of backpacker who is looking for the upbeat, energetic vibe, this is not one of those places…though there are posters up related to pub crawls, activities and tours. There is a small common area in the receptions area with a small kitchen corner, some books and games. Several reviews have commented on small beds: ordinary people live in very cramped conditions in HK and furniture sizes reflect this so beds are unlikely to be comfortable for tall people as budget accommodation is unlikely to pay extra to purchase atypical bed sizes. Hong Kong is always ranked within the top 2 of the cities with high cost of living. This is a very good bargain for Hong Kong. I stayed in a private ensuite room and in the past I have paid more for less, both in HK and elsewhere. I am going to San Franscisco soon and am paying the same price for less nights and a shared bathroom."

"Ken was a nice host. 2 things I did not like: 1. Cleanliness - night 1 I got bedbugs bites. I had the bedsheet replaced but still the same. please see picture. 2. Service (planning) - there was a notice for aircon maintenance and it was fine. What I hate was when I arrived 9pm after a full day of activities, the maintenance is still not done. I requested to be transferred to another room because it’s already late and I needed to rest since I would have an early start (6am) the following day and I was told that they don’t have other rooms since they are fully booked BUT I can get a refund and book another accommodation if I cannot wait for the maintenance to be completed. Imagine you would be told to look for a room in the missle of the night. They tried to apologize the next day by putting a trinket inside my room with a note of apology but the act was already done and was already inconvenienced. Again, the host is nice but what happened is something that can be prevented by not letting the room be booked if it’s scheduled for maintenance and that the room should also be sanitized and cleaned properly."

"The hotel was surprisingly clean! For the price, it’s worth it. Difficult to find it though, we wished the signs were clear. Make sure to get the door code to open it. From outside, it doesn’t look like a clean and safe place. However, when you are inside, the vibe is totally different. In one of the photos, I included the contact information of the owner so that you can get the door code in advance."

"This is the definition of a budget room in Hong Kong: very, very, VERY small, the shower is above the toilets, and the bed can feel a bit small if you're 1.80 meter tall or above. The guesthouse is located on the 7th floor of the notorious yet fascinating Chungking Mansion Building (If you haven't heard about it, Google it). Having said that, the employees were extremely kind and helpful, and offered an even better price when we asked in person to extend for 2 extra nights."

"I booked this hotel for a layover stay in Tsim Sha Tsui, and overall, it was very clean, well-maintained, and a great value for money — especially for central Hong Kong. That said, a few honest notes: If you're a big guy, be prepared: everything is small — the towels, the bathroom, the room itself. It’s very compact, typical of budget stays in HK. When I arrived, my flight from Shanghai was delayed, and I was frustrated to find no one at the reception. I had to wait 10–15 minutes for the staff to show up and then another few minutes to be taken to the room. This place works more like an Airbnb or serviced apartment. The building is full of different guesthouses and hotels, all operating independently on different floors. I expected someone to be tracking online bookings or emails, especially since check-in is supposedly available until 5:30 AM. That part was poorly handled. That said, the owner was kind. Since the room I booked was full, he gave me a bigger room at no extra cost, and even offered late check-out, which I declined. The location is excellent — perfect if you want to explore Hong Kong on a short layover or be close to the MTR, shopping, and food options. If your goal is just sleep, and you're heading out the next day, consider staying near the airport. But if you want to explore Kowloon/HK Island, this location is perfect. Despite the check-in delay, I still give it 5 stars because of the cleanliness, location, and overall value."

"Overall nice. Toothbrush and toothpaste, hair comb, shower caps, toilet paper, hair dryer, shower gel and shampoo, a bottle of water per person a day is provided. The air conditioner leaked onto the bed after changing the mode to QUIET but the staff fixed it after being notified and cleaned up. The staff doesn't understand english too well, but it was enough to get by. Towels and toilet paper weren't changed when the room was cleaned, we had to ask for toilet paper at the reception. The shower leaks into the room through the door a bit so it'd be nice if a leg towel was also provided. The wifi was slow but it was enough even for an online call."

The service attitude is good, and the hygiene is OK, but there is indeed a strong smell of kitchen fumes at night, which is very disturbing. It is even a bit choking when opening the bathroom. The sound insulation is not good. Guests who come back late do not have the awareness of keeping quiet, and the sound of karaoke can be heard downstairs. The location is really good, close to the Causeway Bay MTR entrance, shopping is more convenient, and the bus station is also close. Overall, it is still OK, but the smell of fumes does affect the experience of resting in the hotel after a tiring day. I hope it can be improved.

"This was my first time staying at Prince Mansion, located at 21-23 Nam Cheong Street in Sham Shui Po. Formerly the Advanced International Hotel, it recently changed its name to Prince Mansion, and it feels like a mainland Chinese family-style guesthouse. The reception is not open 24 hours a day, and there is no staff between 8 PM and 11 AM. The hotel does send a message with information about the hotel's rules and the door code, allowing guests to enter and exit the hotel after 8 PM. The room was decorated in an industrial style, was spacious, and had all the basic amenities. The price was reasonable. With limited hotel options in Sham Shui Po, this is a good choice."

Good
YYusuf UsmanovThe location was near perfect—super close to the bus station near Nathan Rd, so basically super easy to access while using the bus. The room was neat and clean—the bed was comfy and big, the AC worked perfectly, and all electronic outlets worked flawlessly. A foldable table is placed within the room, and there is space underneath the bed to store suitcases. The shower worked fine, and the towels were clean. Just beware that the rooms are not too soundproof. The hotel is located on the fifth floor of the building, and the elevator is a bit slow and usually takes quite some time to get to and from the ground floor. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely stay here once again if I were to visit Hong Kong again solo.

GGuest UserI want to try and be balanced. I hate to give this place too much hate. I feel like they’re doing the best they can with the cards they’ve been dealt and the price reflects that. This being my first time to Hong Kong, I was not aware of what to expect price wise. That said, I want people to who read this to have more reasonable expectations than what the 4-5 star ratings want you to have. Location. I suppose it’s in a good location of the city but it’s in an apartment above a market like setup. As i walked into the building i was immediately pounced upon by individual after individual who seemed to be trying to rent me their own rooms. I had to just ignore them and keep walking. I don’t like being rude, but I’ve found this is the easiest way to escape. I never feel safe in situations like this especially late at night. The room was small and generally clean. I’ve left hotels in the past that were just horrid, this isn’t one of those. The mattress was comfortable but the bed was short. I feel the pillows and blankets were “clean “. But they were clean to the standards that I wash my own bedding. They were very white, but with some obvious stains that haven’t quite washed out, and one pillow appeared to have something like a blood stain visible through the pillow case. You will want to bring some sort of sleeping bag or liner. I was happy i had one. The bathroom had no toiletries. No soap, shampoo, bidet/paper. The toilet bowl was black inside and immediately began to smell of sewer gas as i was urinating. It leaked when i flushed it. Gave me quite a start. The stench stayed around for 10-20 minutes or so. After that i didn’t want to do anything else in the bathroom. I used a bottle of water to brush my teeth. I don’t know. If you’re looking at the outside of the building during the day, it’s what you’d expect. If you’re familiar with the cost of living in Hong Kong, it’s probably also what you’d expect at this price. If you just want a relatively clean place to sleep, and don’t want to spend a lot for hotels that reviewers say have the same issues, this will work. Just make sure you have your sleeping bag liner. For this price, I’d probably stay there again if they fixed the plumbing.

TTraveller898It's cheap, not at all as the picture its advertised , like a dormitory bunker with a decent bed and mattress, blankets are clean and pillow is okay, toilet is horrible with shower and no space to move. The amenities are only bad quality roller paper and a towel. Nothing else! The hotel and attract more customers if they are better with decent real pictures and better service, the owner a guy who doesn't speak English is really unfriendly and cold. He has no way to treat guests. They had shampoo though... It's okay for one night or short term. Easy check in and out! No deposit!

CCharmaine1118Very clean! Although it is not a luxurious five-star hotel, it is very clean. During the check-in process, I saw the landlord's hospitality attitude. Every detail is in place. The sign of her house is right outside the ferry terminal.
