This is a high-end resort hotel that combines traditional Japanese style with modern services. The hotel covers a large area and has villas and Japanese-style rooms. The area is very large and all built along the river. It used to be a high-end place for celebrities in Tokyo, Japan to vacation, gather and relax. There are many buildings and old objects from decades ago. Both the indoor hot springs and public hot springs are good. The outdoor hot spring can deeply feel the hotel's business philosophy and the deep integration of man and nature.

I'd been interested in this inn for a while. The Yoshina River flows through the grounds, which are the size of two Tokyo Domes. There are bridges within the building, as well as two old bridges. In addition to the main and west buildings, the inn is packed with amenities, including a thatched-roof restaurant, a Taisho-era lounge, a bakery, and a riverside terrace! There are five hot spring baths, two of which are private. We arrived by shuttle bus from Shuzenji Station. We first checked in at the entrance building, which has a wonderful atmosphere with its high ceilings, pillars, and beams. From our room, we could see the beautiful Japanese garden. We strolled around while looking at a map of the grounds. Simply strolling the grounds was enjoyable. We went to the open-air bath, which alternates between men and women depending on the time. After enjoying the hot springs and the greenery, we headed to the lounge to quench our thirst. We enjoyed beer and sparkling wine. After enjoying a variety of elaborate dishes, each made with carefully selected ingredients, we took a minibus to a spot where we could see fireflies! This was the best part. From a bridge over the Yoshina River upstream from the inn, we were able to see the fireflies glowing yellow-green in the pitch-black darkness. We returned to the inn and went to the private bath we had reserved. We then went to the "Kodakara no Yu" hot spring, where Oman had taken a cure in hopes of being blessed with children. Before breakfast, we took a walk to Fujimi-daira, a one-hour round trip walk from Oman's garden. We could see Mount Fuji faintly. We had a Western breakfast in the retro atmosphere of the second floor of the Taishokan building. Here too, we were able to spend a luxurious time. After breakfast, we bought some bread and fruit cake as souvenirs at the bakery, and then had a toast to celebrate our wedding anniversary in the lounge! I'm a TV addict, but I had such a fulfilling time here that I didn't have time to watch TV. When you think about it, it's great value for money! This is one of the inns I'd like to return to.

The kaiseki cuisine, which evoked the atmosphere of autumn, was a luxurious way to enjoy the colors of the season and the flavors of the ingredients. Starting with an aperitif of plum wine, and followed by appetizers of baked abalone cheese and crab fukugisa egg, each dish was delicately and beautifully presented. The aroma of matsutake mushroom spread from the bowl of pounded conger eel and kudzu in particular, making one feel the depth of autumn. The simmered golden-eyed snapper had a sweet and spicy taste and stood out as a specialty of Izu. The special beef fillet was perfectly matched with the sesame sauce, and the final dish of local chicken and mushroom rice pot rice further enhanced the seasonal feel. To conclude the meal, seasonal fruits and chestnut zenzai were the perfect way to end the meal with a subtle sweetness.

First of all, it can't be helped that it was the time of my stay, but when I moved from my room, I was in a room in the hallway outside, so it was cold. I also enjoyed the old-fashioned retro style of the public bath. I had shabu-shabu for dinner, and the quality of the meat was good. What was disappointing was the behavior of a certain staff member. Do you understand hospitality?

Thank you very much to the staff for your consideration. I don't know who the proprietress is, but I guess she doesn't have a sense of caring for others.I've stayed at affiliated inns several times, but this will be my last.

I felt that the taste of the food was perfect. We stayed for 2 nights and had lunch with Japanese and Western dishes, but the deliciousness of Japanese food shines. I really liked the chef's seasoning. The toasted nori seaweed served for breakfast is in a wooden box and is warmed in the box. While eating, you can enjoy the texture of crispy grilled seaweed. The open-air bath in the room is also very good. I had time, so I did a 40 minute hike. Unfortunately, it was cloudy and we could not see Mt.Fuji. It has become one of the memorable inns that I would like to visit again.

This is a famous inn in Izu. It is a fairly high-class inn, so there was nothing particularly bad about it, but when you spend your precious time traveling, you want to have an impressive and valuable experience. The beauty of the scenery and buildings, the delicious food, the hot springs, the traditions and atmosphere, the fun, the peace and comfort, etc., all of which can only be experienced here. However, this inn is below 70 points in all respects. The food is average. To put it in a good way, it is safe (is that a good thing? lol), and to put it in a bad way, it is like a super high-class kaiseki family restaurant? There is no excitement or "special" originality at all. I think it is quite low compared to other inns in this price class. 40 points? I was happy that the bath was freely available for private use, but the atmosphere was average. To be honest, the quality of the hot water is a bit questionable (I haven't looked into it in detail, so this is just my feeling). 65 points? The building is reasonably clean, but it is quite cluttered and you can't feel any tradition or sense. I feel that the room was not bad. 50 points? LOL I would be happy if it was under 20,000 yen, but since it is a high-class price setting, I have to be honest and give a harsh evaluation. Therefore, I think that it is not suitable for experienced travelers, those who are looking for high-class, or those who are looking for taste. By the way, the nearby restaurant has a modern image and a decent atmosphere, but the food was a bit iffy. On the other hand, the cafe with the foot bath attached to it had a good atmosphere and a special feeling, and was attractive as a cafe. Lastly, about the staff of this inn. Overall, I did not feel bad, but when I checked out, something strange happened. My child played with it, so I lost my room key, and a woman who seemed to be a higher-ranking landlady told me, "If you can't find it? You will have to pay 10,000 yen." It was not a typical joke, but a serious one lol. If you actually lose it, it may be unavoidable, but it seems a bit strange to suddenly say something like that to a customer... Thanks to the other male staff members who desperately searched for it together, we were able to find the key safely in the gap between the bed. There are many wonderful inns in Izu. I don't think I will visit this place again. .
