"Grand Hôtel & Spa Uriage provided an unplanned but relaxing overnight stop on our journey south. The hotel enjoys a beautiful setting and our family room was exceptionally spacious, having been created from two interconnecting rooms complete with two bathrooms. The bar and restaurant staff were excellent throughout our stay. The cocktails were particularly good and dinner was enjoyable, although the €38 lobster main felt expensive for the amount of lobster served. Unfortunately, the room itself didn’t quite live up to the price tag. At over €400 per night, we expected the room to offer a little more in terms of comfort and amenities. The air conditioning struggled to cool the room and the Wi-Fi was unreliable. The room would also have benefited from a minibar and a few additional amenities for the price. The safe was surprisingly small, the single bedside power socket meant unplugging the lamp to charge devices. The pillows were also particularly uncomfortable. None of these issues were major in isolation, but together they made the room feel underwhelming for a hotel in this price bracket. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would happily return if passing through the area again. However, there is room for improvement, particularly in the bedrooms, if the hotel is to justify its premium pricing. "Pool was closed, nowhere to find the info. Reception was unpleasant, they gave us the worst chamber of the whole hotel 333, it had cigarette smell all over. Nothing to find in rooms, no courtoisy plateau, nothing was offered, coffee was bad, mediocre quality under "clé verte" context. I discourage you to reserve a room in this hotel"

"A half hour from the trails. nice welcome and availability. Discreet breakfast, functional rooms, electric car charge next door. Personnel's courtesy, even in leaving us a late check out at 16.00, leaving us the possibility of a shower and loading the additional baggage before the return trip to Sistere . The hotel is a very good solution in February, with all the chaotic and expensive surroundings ( French school holidays ! )."

"My third visit at Novotel Grenoble Nord Voreppe while driving from southern France back to Germany. After spending hours on the road, having a hotel that's easy to reach and comfortable enough for a good night's rest really makes a difference, and the hotel stays as promising as the last two times. One of the best things about this hotel is its location. It's right near the highway, so getting in and out was quick and hassle-free. We didn’t have to deal with city traffic or spend extra time finding our way after a long day of driving. For anyone on a road trip, that’s a big plus. The hotel itself was a pleasant place to recharge. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. It’s not a luxury property, but it has everything you need for a relaxing stopover, and everything worked as expected."

"Fantastic hotel and breakfast. The buffet was really interesting. It would have been incredible if they had allowed us to have dinner at the restaurant. Despite there being free tables and it being a normal French dinner time, they told us they were full."

"Our stay was excellent. The accommodation is located within the grounds of a beautiful château, which offers many great facilities, including a spa, a golf course, and several other amenities. We stayed in a very spacious room with two adults and a baby. Upon request, the staff had already set up a baby cot for us, which was a thoughtful touch. The room was clean, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated. We also had dinner at the brasserie, where the food was delicious. The restaurant offers a stunning view of the mountains, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place, whether you’re planning a longer stay or simply looking for a comfortable stopover during your journey."

"The team at Chalet Mounier ensured with had an exceptional holiday. It seemed to us that every aspect had been thought about with care, attention and creativity by a team of people who have real pride and expertise in their jobs. We loved the bar, the delicious cocktails which came with amazing oysters, the food at every meal was at an exceptional level and beautiful to look at, and we were looked after by an incredible team in the restaurant with an encyclopedia of wine! The spa and pool were wonderful and relaxing, especially the outdoor pool surrounded by metres of snow. It was such a treat to be taken to skiing by the amazing reception staff for whom nothing seemed too much trouble. And the whole place smells great!!"

"BIKERS BEWARE!!!.... I was one of 9 bikers to visit this hotel. On arrival we seen a notice that the gate would be shut to the car park between 10pm and 6am. On the first night my friends BMW 1250GS was stolen at 3am and the gates were left open by the hotel? The next night the gates was left open again luckily we had to find secure parking elsewhere. The hotel knew the bike was stolen but was willing to do this to other customers? ... Please Bikers BEWARE!!!!"

"We were able to access our basement apartment with a balcony late in the evening. Our two cats were accepted without any problem and free of charge. Superb room, comfortable mattress, and the tea and coffee were much appreciated. We didn't have breakfast as it was too expensive at €30 for two. We would gladly return if needed."
