"Stayed 8 nights recently in a king deluxe hotel room . The hotel itself is beautiful with excellent facilities including onsite restaurant , bar , cafe , indoor pool , spa , ski drying rooms and lockers , car parking . Our room was modern , luxurious dnd comfortable . Kitchenette was self contained with everything we needed . Disappointing that our room was not attended to at all during our stay for housekeeping , clean linen , towels etc and replacement toilet paper . I would have expected daily housekeeping including fresh towels, restocking toilet paper snd bed making as a minimum when you stay in a full serviced hotel and pay premium prices per night . Beautiful hotel though in great location . Housekeeping needs to be better though ."

"We wanted to try staying at a castle outbuilding and the results were mixed. There's nothing wrong the Dependences, but there's nothing magical either. Our room was small, unspectacular, and lacked character, not what you're looking for in a "castle" stay. From now on, we'll probably either buck it up and pay to sleep in a castle or skip it and stay elsewhere. The complex here is nice with a pond, garden, restaurant, gym, and, oh, yeah, a castle. It's just kind of a bummer to not stay in the chateau. "

Grand Hôtel & Spa Uriage

"Grand Hôtel & Spa Uriage provided an unplanned but relaxing overnight stop on our journey south. The hotel enjoys a beautiful setting and our family room was exceptionally spacious, having been created from two interconnecting rooms complete with two bathrooms. The bar and restaurant staff were excellent throughout our stay. The cocktails were particularly good and dinner was enjoyable, although the €38 lobster main felt expensive for the amount of lobster served. Unfortunately, the room itself didn’t quite live up to the price tag. At over €400 per night, we expected the room to offer a little more in terms of comfort and amenities. The air conditioning struggled to cool the room and the Wi-Fi was unreliable. The room would also have benefited from a minibar and a few additional amenities for the price. The safe was surprisingly small, the single bedside power socket meant unplugging the lamp to charge devices. The pillows were also particularly uncomfortable. None of these issues were major in isolation, but together they made the room feel underwhelming for a hotel in this price bracket. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would happily return if passing through the area again. However, there is room for improvement, particularly in the bedrooms, if the hotel is to justify its premium pricing. "After arriving at the hotel with a double room reservation for 2 adults made on Trip.com, the receptionist asked me to see the price, which I found out was out of place, and then asked me to pay the difference between the price paid on Trip.com (-€5) and their website, which was almost €2.47 plus the tourist tax *2 (€1.98). A scam, be careful; I'm going to report this practice to the fraud prevention agency. Regarding the room, it's a disgrace. A peeling ceiling that connects to your bathtub... You have a bathtub but no plug, so an old-fashioned shower lol. At the bottom of a one-bedroom apartment with a price almost double..."

"The worst experience of my life! Too bad you can't give zero stars! Words certainly won't do justice to the filth we found, we had to buy detergents to clean! Everything was dirty, floor, walls, curtains, sheets, towels, toilet... everything in disgusting conditions!!! Dead animals and excrement everywhere! When it was time to pay they made a fuss saying we hadn't paid when in fact we paid for the room upon arrival but they didn't give us any receipt, they didn't even ask us for documents for a registration at check-in. I STRONGLY DISCOURAGE"

"Great location, close to train station/bus stop for easy access;large space for packing. Some equipment has small dust, electric kettles have scale, it is recommended to bring your own kettle or purchase bottled water. The sound insulation is average and you can hear the sound of walking outside the room. Friendly staff!"

"The room facilities are top-class in this city and overall satisfaction. There is also a small back garden. Nearby is Carrefour Supermarket, which is convenient for shopping, about 15 minutes by bus from the city center. Overall recommendation."
