"We spent 4 nights in this hotel. The room was very nice and very well equipped. There were even two bottles of water and two bottles of Coca Cola free of charge every day, which is very, very rare. Certainly a highlight for those who are thirsty. The only drawback was that the room faced the street. Although we like sleeping with the window open, we could unfortunately hear the construction noise from the neighboring building at 7:00 a.m. and the school children at 7:30 a.m. The hotel has two pools, an indoor and an outdoor pool. Since we like to go swimming for 30 minutes after getting up in the morning, it was an advantage that there were few guests at that time and we could swim well. A maximum of 4 people can swim at the same time, otherwise they can only enjoy the water. Unfortunately the outdoor pool doesn't open until 10:30 a.m. In general, you have to say that the pools and the general spa area are very nice. You get the feeling that everything is new. There are two saunas, two steam baths that should steam a bit more in my opinion :-) ! Great relaxation rooms, everything is just perfect. The only thing that isn't there are sauna infusions by a sauna master. And don't forget the fitness area. It is really well equipped with modern equipment. Really well-equipped for "fitness people". Incidentally, the staff are super friendly and helpful. From the chambermaid to the reception and the service staff in the restaurant. We had booked half board and unfortunately I have to make compromises here. We travel a lot and know a lot of 5-star hotels but in terms of cuisine, this can't keep up. The breakfast buffet and the evening meal are good but with 5 stars there are different expectations. For example, the breakfast is very varied but there are three types of sausages, Frankfurters (Vienna), white sausages and bratwursts. When I go to breakfast at 9:30, the sausages are floating in lukewarm water and the bratwursts look dried out. If you put them out at 7:00 when breakfast starts, you should make sure that the water is always hot. Dinner has three dishes to choose from, meat, fish and vegetarian, which is good. However, the dishes are simple and not appropriate for a 5-star hotel. This is just a comparison to other 5-star hotels on our part. In general, the food is good. The only real negative is the price of the wine, which we found to be exceptionally expensive. I would say that it corresponds to a 6-star hotel :-) ! All in all, I would recommend the hotel."

"In the past, this was a very classy hotel; nowadays, it's filled with noisy Russians and Romanians. The breakfast is meager, nothing special, just some toast with egg. It's best to skip the evening dinner; I've never experienced anything so mediocre. Instead, book a table at a good restaurant in the village. The management, along with a team of five, loudly convene meetings in the lobby, where guests would normally sit. They discuss finances loudly, brainstorming potential improvements to make more money. It's incredibly antisocial and a very odd situation for guests trying to read a book nearby. I would suggest investing in a proper meeting room. It has become a village solely for single men; women are as rare as hen's teeth. The après-ski venues have turned into a sort of meat market, making your wife feel uncomfortable quickly. Ischgl is no longer the charming family ski resort it used to be. It has turned into a bull's fest, ending in nightly brawls with glasses flying around in the après-ski bars. We won't be going next year."

"Very arrogant service coming from the top management of the hotel. Senior hotel staff cater to a select few local "royalties" by assigning them the best rooms, centrally located tables at the restaurant and going out their way in meeting their every wish. All other (especially new and non-German speaking) guests are completely ignored and are relegated to the far south corner of the hotel with cheap tiles on the floor and even cheaper and tasteless art on the walls. It has a look and feel of a 3* property at best with the view of a fence and a parking lot. The manager of the restaurant is the worst. Self-important, never says yes to anything and seems annoyed at most clients' requests. Unacceptable. There are a few nice junior staff who are trying their best but their good efforts are easily overshadowed by the factors mentioned above. For this money there are plenty of other places with the right attitude and service."

"If I could give this review 0 stars I would, Me and my friends came here with the intentions that this was a welcoming and friendly country and we was very wrong. We entered the hotel and had to wait 20 minutes for the manager to come down from his pit upstairs, we had rang the hotel whilst we was in the reception however nobody was clearly in the reception so the phone just rang an rang until he must of realised his guests were here. The hotel manager was extremely disrespectful to us and spoke down to us, after a misunderstanding from both party’s the manager then began to make comments towards us such as “you lot are all the same” “ you people always try things like this”, we as a group took this personally as we have come into another country and was made to feel small due to our nationality. We were also made to turn the music down at 10pm on a Saturday night which the wife come and began to bang the door, rather than a calm and polite requested to turn the music down it was the complete opposite… the wife told us that again “you people” are always disrespectful and if we don’t turn it off then she will send her husband up which we all felt threatened about. We were so uncomfortable in this hotel and it quite honestly ruined our whole experience of this ski holiday. Whilst we was leaving we was made to pay for the ski pass and the beers we had which we had no problem with, the manager then began to tell us that it MUST BE CASH as there is no card reader, many of us did not have cash or bank cards to withdraw money which then caused the manager to once again be extremely disrespectful to us, we tried to calm the situation down and once again tell me we will pay with card as that is what *********** has stated. Again the manager said he did not have one until he pulled one from his pocket and began shaking his head a began to speak in German to himself which again made us uncomfortable. I would definitely not recommend this place especially if there is more than 4 of you and definitely if you are British as you will be made to feel uncomfortable in a different country."

"Stayed 5 nights for a ski trip with my son. Salnerhof was simply excellent throughout. Food was exceptional, room was spotless (thanks for the upgrade) and staff were highly attentive. The hotel is located at the better end of town, near the main Silvrettabahn ski lift and close to the end of the slope. I have no hesitation in recommending."
