Zermatt Hotels with Wifi

"I wish I was writing a glowing review for this hotel but I simply cannot as I find it inexcusable that in this day and age there was no complimentary tea/Coffee or even a kettle in the room. Secondly the breakfast was an absolute joke. Boiled eggs and slices of meat with cold bread. Utterly diaspoointing for the cost. The room itself was good and warm but had paper thin walls. I could hear every conversation in the other room and the snoring guests at night. Won't be staying again."

"Hotel is clean and comfortable but my swimsuit got stolen. I forgot it in the room upon checkout. 2 hours later I remembered i left it hanging on the door - went back to hotel to retrieve it and staff said they couldn’t find it. 2 days later I called and they still couldn’t find it - so it’s clear it was stolen. I am rather disappointed. Definitely not coming back."

"There is a free shuttle bus to the train station, so you don't have to drag your luggage. The bed is too soft and it's not easy to sleep."

"The room was clean, warm and comfortable, and the hot tub had a large water flow and good temperature. The bus station was not far from the hotel, and it was not too tiring to walk there with a board. The rooms facing west could directly see the Matterhorn in the morning, and the rooms facing east could see the eastern part of the town. There were not many varieties of breakfast, but it was quite satisfactory. I brought my own almond cream, which could be washed with water from the coffee machine for making tea. There was no kettle and disposable toothbrush in the room, so I had to bring my own."

From the moment I arrived, the staff at the reception set the tone with her exceptional friendliness and patience, making me feel instantly at home. I had a similar experience with the staff on the night shift. The hotel’s location is a standout feature. It’s just a 3-minute walk to the supermarket and a 5-minute stroll to the main street, where you’ll find a variety of shops and restaurants. For nature enthusiasts, the iconic Matterhorn viewpoint is a mere 20-minute walk (and climb) away. The room was a cozy haven, perfectly insulated from the cold without ever feeling stuffy. I especially appreciated the heated shower rack, which kept my towel warm – a small but thoughtful touch. However, the bathroom is on the smaller side, which might be a tight fit for taller individuals. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. While simple, the variety offered made it feel sumptuous. The yoghurt stood out, and the availability of fresh fruits added a refreshing touch. Being an older establishment, you might notice the occasional sound of water running through the pipes or the mechanical hum of the lift – a minor trade-off for the hotel’s character and charm. Despite these quirks, Hotel Parnass has won me over. It’s an easy choice for a return visit to Zermatt, offering a warm, well-located, and comfortable stay."

The breakfast buffet is a highlight, featuring a rich variety of choices and a delightful self-service egg and pancake station. While not directly on the main street, the slight distance offers a peaceful retreat without sacrificing accessibility to Zermatt's attractions."

"Very amazed by the level of automation in the hotel! Check-in was seamless even though it was just an iPad. We needed to pay a tourist tax via an online link prior to arrival but we were abit wary given the number of online scams nowadays - perhaps it’ll be better to charge everything up front? There was free coffee available as well, which was a huge plus. The room was amazing, spotlessly clean, sufficiently big, had a balcony, comfortable bed. One of the staff (a guy) allowed us to put our luggage in the room early even though we could only encode our card after 3pm. He even helped us make a reservation at Du Pont as we didn’t have a Swiss number, thanks very much! The hotel is a 10min walk from the main train station, though there are free buses which can shorten the journey. We just walked as it was faster. We were in Swiss for 2 weeks and this hotel is definitely the best accommodation we had - for a very good price as well!"

"The location is close to Zermatt Station, and there is no problem dragging two suitcases. The Matterhorn peak is slightly visible, hidden by trees, so it seems good for checking if it is the Golden Horn."
