"The place is clean. Location is about 10-15 mins walk from station. There are about 5 steps to climb even though there is a small lift, reach to every level. The view is nice."

"There is a free shuttle bus to the train station, so you don't have to drag your luggage. The bed is too soft and it's not easy to sleep."

"I took my kids to ski. This hotel is close to the main street, but not easy to find. It's in a small alley behind the main street. I arrived at the hotel at night and asked several people but no one knew where it was. I searched for a long time in the snow and ice before I found it. Fortunately, the town is safe. When I entered the hotel, the room key was left in an envelope at the front desk. The entire hotel facility is new and clean. The room is also very comfortable and the breakfast is very rich. I walked out the next day and realized that the hotel is still in the center. But it is still a distance from the ski lift, so I need to take a taxi. It takes less than ten minutes to get there. It's interesting to choose a taxi in the town when I don't know the direction for the first time."

"I stayed at Zermatt Youth Hostel for one night and had a great experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the food meets my expectations. Everything was smooth from check-in to check-out, and the hostel has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I had no issues at all and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Zermatt, whether you’re traveling solo or in a group."

"The hotel was in 5 minutes walking from Zermatt train station and it offered free shuttle for check in and out as there was a steep path to the hotel entrance, not good to walk with luggages. I booked 2 bedrooms family suite but only with one bathroom which was the downside. However, the total space of 60 meter sq with a decent living room and a small balcony facing Matterhorn were a plus to the overall stay. There were some minor defects and the staff fixed efficiently. They had an indoor pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna room. I had to mention that the jacuzzi was of high standard and you must go after a day of hiking. So bring your swimming suit. However, please note that in there culture, no clothes are allowed to enter the sauna room and it is in mixed genders. The breakfast buffet was lack of choices. But I had to specially name Mr Fernando, he always welcome us with very good coffee and of course his warm greetings in the morning. Suggestion to the hotel: 1. Stated clearly the number of bathroom/ toilet in the booking details regarding my booking is a 2 bedrooms suite. 2. More choices for breakfast, my family stays 4 nights there. Everyday, the menu is same. 3. The pool was closed at 8pm, will be better if it closes at 9pm as it was rather rush for the guests to use after dinner. Overall, I recommend this hotel to family. I will come back again."

"Kristiane checked us in, and out of the hotel. She's the most attentive person so far that I've met, among the hotels that I have stayed in. Not only that, she got our issues fixed within the day, with a good sense of humour. The hotel breakfast was above average, some selection of cheeses, ham, salami, yoghurt, and drinks dispensed from the machine. I chose this hotel as it was close to Zermatt Bahnhof, and I did not regret it. A relatively new hotel, with a faint smell of wood in the room. The heating in the room can be a wee bit stronger, it means the insulation is good while we tuned down the central heating throughout our stay when the external temp is subzero. It's a gorgeous hotel, I have a narrow window view of the Matterhorn. Not to mention that the hotel is right next to McDonald's and two coffee shops. Overall, it was a splendid experience for us staying at Derby. If you were guessing, this isn't a sponsored review. We were just very happy travellers."

"Out of all the hotels we stayed at in Switzerland, this one felt the most modern. The only minor issue was finding a few ants in the room, which might be due to its mountain location. Otherwise, everything was excellent."

"A great location, with a direct view of the Matterhorn from the balcony. The room was very cozy, and the wooden structure didn't look old at all. I was just drinking coffee on the side, but the sun was so comfortable that I decided to stay in Zermatt for another day. I asked the hotel next door and got the last room with a balcony with a mountain view. I was so lucky!"

"The supérior room with balcony is big, but no Matterhorn view. Narrow range of breakfast options. Need to check in at another hotel reception. Amenities are old, but clean. Very close to Zermatt train station. But will consider another hotel next time by adding a little bit budget."

"I had a pleasant stay. Though I had a technical hiccup with the self check-in, the hotel personnel were quick to respond and reacted super promptly. And yes, there's a small balcony that has a nice view to the nature! :)"
