"The hotel room is spacious, well-equipped, clean, and meets a 4-star standard. We were given a courtyard-facing room, which was very quiet as it wasn't facing the street. The breakfast is excellent, and they even serve champagne on Sunday mornings. The hotel is only two intercity train stops from the Central Station, and it's just a few hundred meters walk from the train station. Nearby, there's a Lidl supermarket and many restaurants. Tram line 71 stops right outside the hotel; taking it to the left will take you to many city attractions. Turning left outside the hotel also leads directly to the entrance of the Belvedere Palace, which is incredibly convenient. I highly recommend this hotel to independent travelers!"

"First off, the hotel is a 25-30 minute walk from the city center. While there are public transport options nearby, we preferred to explore the city on foot. We were very pleased with the breakfast; there was a great variety of choices. Unfortunately, the rooms don't have air conditioning, but they do have fans. Since we stayed in May, we didn't have any issues with the heat, but I imagine a fan might not be enough in July or August. I was also happy with the overall cleanliness of the hotel, and we didn't encounter any problems. The staff were very friendly and helpful too."

"I would like to thank the staff who did my checkin, Vojtech (hopefully I got his name correctly)- he brightens up our days- he allowed us to checkin much earlier then the official checkin time. He even greatly helped to arrange complimentary late checkout for the 2 rooms I had booked in Vienna by 2 hrs. This helps us alot since we only have one night in Vienna and this allows us some time to venture out and come back on time for a quick shower before going to the airport. I would also like to thank another staff, En (hopefully i got her name correct)- she initiated to do the card extension for us as she said the extension wasnt done on the card (in case we can’t use it by 12pm-official checkout time). This current experience in Novotel Vienna had deeply ‘upgraded’ my satisfaction again on Novotel, which I always stayed when I go Bangkok. "When I arrived, there was no one at the reception desk—Artur was alone, taking orders at the bar, and didn't notice me right away. While it was evening and there should be 2 receptionists, given the increasing demand at the bar in the evening, I had to wait for Arthur who made a cocktail at the bar. After filling out the form, I was forced to wait again for Arthur, who was dealing with a client in the luggage room who claimed his bag was missing. After Arthur gave my keys, I eventually went to the room with no available space on the lower level, and I was forced to return to reception to change rooms, but again, there was no one at reception or in the bar!!!After I had to wait, Arthur returned, but after speaking with a guest from Gran Canaria, he left again. After another forced wait, Arthur returned and eventually gave me a room with a free bed on the bottom bunk, but I wasted a lot of time! There should be several staff members at reception in the evening, not just Arthur, who is also the manager!"

"Stayed for three nights, and it was super convenient to get around. Right across the street is a transport hub, making it easy to get to the airport. "The hotel is in a really good area regarding transport, bus stop outside which takes 10-15 minutes into Vienna city centre, breakfast you have a decent variety and a good selection of drinks. On to the room, could be better, decor is run down and looks very tired, thankfully it’s just a place to sleep, saying that the bed is rock hard and quite uncomfortable. Mattress is very thin and when asked for another duvet it never arrived. The bed we did have creeked every time we moved so I’ll advise to lay very still. Shower pressure was very up and down, so was the temperature. Price for the hotel and breakfast overall was good but would definitely stay elsewhere when next in Vienna just for a better nights sleep."

I booked a family room for 4 people, 2 adults and 2 children. They don't allow an additional child. The location is very close to the main train station, and you can also walk to Belvedere Palace. There's a bus stop near Belvedere Palace that's much more convenient than taking the subway, as it goes directly to all the popular attractions in the Old Town, like the Musikverein, Karlskirche, Hofburg, museums, and City Hall… I only discovered this on the day we left! 😅 I bought a 48-hour transport pass, which felt like a better deal than the City Card, as the latter mainly offers discounts on attractions that you might not even use. With the transport pass, taking the train from the main station to the airport only costs 2.2 euros (half price for children). It takes 16 minutes to get to the airport, and even without the pass, it's not expensive – if I remember correctly, it's 2.9 euros. The hotel offers almost no service; it's mainly self-service. Housekeeping is supposedly every four days. Since we only stayed for 2 nights, it was acceptable, but I imagine it would be a bit uncomfortable for a longer stay.

The hotel's location is excellent! There's a bridge nearby that leads directly to the city center, and it's about a 15-minute walk to the Black Death Tower, making it very convenient for getting around. The service and facilities are genuinely great. Check-in was fast and smooth, and the staff were very polite, making me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. The facilities are quite comprehensive; there's a steamer for ironing clothes, and the room has a fridge stocked with still water, sparkling water, and other drinks, which are replenished during room cleaning – a thoughtful touch. Slippers are also provided, and the bathroom amenities are well-stocked. The room size is just right. There's enough space to open a suitcase and still have room to sit and relax without feeling cramped. A nice bonus is the JBL alarm clock in the room, which can connect via Bluetooth to play music. It's perfect for listening to music when waking up in the morning or unwinding at night.

Hotel Location: The hotel is situated on a side street off the main pedestrian thoroughfare in Vienna's city center, right in the small square with the fountain (as pictured). It's within walking distance of many attractions, for example, St. Stephen's Cathedral is only about a five-minute walk away. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, and the metro station isn't far from the hotel. Hotel Room: The room was incredibly spacious and expansive. We arrived at the hotel early, and the front desk was very accommodating, allowing us to check in right away after confirming that a room was available.

The listing said there was a bathtub, but my room didn't have one. The room photos also showed rooms with only a shower, so it might be that rooms are assigned randomly. If you really want a bathtub, it's probably a good idea to note it in the special requests section. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and it had a fridge. There are also lots of supermarkets nearby, which was a plus.

Smartments just within the walking distance from Wein Hbf, via the entrance near to Plaftorm 9,10,11 there, just next to SPAR Pronto mart. Inside the main train station you can find all you need so is very convenience. The hotel was highly with self serve register and check-in upon the arrival. However, there’s a receptionist at the front counter was very helpful, assigned the room for me adequately, truly appreciated. The room was equipped all your need just like the second home. WiFi and TV works well, except no aircon in the room, only with one small tower fan so may need to open the window during summer time. Overall is good stay. Thank you.

The front desk staff were very enthusiastic. We asked for hot water and they immediately gave us a brand new kettle. Because we checked in quite late, the room we were given only had one bar of signal, and the Wi-Fi wouldn't connect. Even mobile data was sometimes unusable because the signal was so bad. Plus, the bathroom door didn't have a lock; it seemed to be broken. Since there were no other rooms available, we ended up having to stay in that room with the terrible signal.

Because I lived in a hotel in Europe for the first time, I was accustomed to the domestic habits and did not bring slippers. As a result, the restaurant did not provide it. Without the converter, the result was not provided by the restaurant, so I bought a difference of 12.9 euros. Ok! If you live in a European hotel, you must bring the necessary items, otherwise you will have a bad point. The distance from the Schönbrunn Palace is not there, but there is no breakfast shop. We had to go to the Golden Arch in one subway station and then to the Schönbrunn Palace in the subway. The hotel is very quiet, the morning is the window, wake us up.

The room was clean and quite spacious. Tram No. 25 is right outside the hotel, making public transport very convenient. There's also a Billa supermarket and McDonald's nearby, which makes dining options very accessible.

Good design concept, with very well located apart next to the metro and trams, also with walking distance to HBF. Superclean! Good staff for cooking. The big inconvenience has been that there is only one auto check-in machine and it didn't work at 14:00 when everyone was there to try to allocate. The on-line check-in works but doesn't provides any QR thoufh their text claims so (all the ten persons there had the same situation). And the rooms were finally available at 14:20, only then the machine started to delivee keys. I will be back and hope this swlf-service peoblem no longwr exists.
