Vienna Hotels with balcony

"I stayed at Maxx Vienna from 11 to 15 October 2025 and had a truly enjoyable experience. The location was excellent — close to the U-Bahn, with cafés and shops within walking distance, yet quiet enough for a relaxing stay. The staff were incredibly accommodating and professional throughout my visit. I especially want to thank Angelina from the front desk, who handled my last-minute request to extend my stay with such kindness and efficiency. It made a world of difference after a small mix-up on my end! My room was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. The separate blankets were a nice touch — no “blanket fights” during the night! The overall vibe of the hotel was modern yet cozy, making it feel like a comfortable home base while exploring Vienna. I’d definitely stay here again the next time I’m in the city. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean, well-located, and genuinely welcoming hotel in Vienna."

"The hotel is located next to the main railway station in Vienna. You walk about 5-10 minutes from the station to the hotel. The railway station is Okish central located, but well connected to the Viennese public transport system. The hotel has a park in front, that has two restaurants inside - die kleine Steiermark and the Arsenal stüberl.. if you walk cross the park,(5-10 minutes) you will find yourself next to one of the top sights in Vienna - the Belvedere castle. there is a restaurant in the ground floor of the hotel - Eugen.. which was really empty (just one guest) when we were there.. we need to wait for the waiter for 10 minutes.. we thought already the restaurant was closed (We were there at 9pm on a Friday) anyway the food served was good. Had a flank steak. There no other shops or anything else around the hotel.. the hotel feels a kind of remote.. you need to go to the railwaystation if you need a convenient store.. What we can recommend is the roof top bar Aurora(?) directly in the 16th floor of the hotel with maybe the best view across Vienna. The rooms themself are modern and efficient.. have everything you might ask from a modern Hotel.. although the hotel is located more or less directly over the rails of the nearby railway station, we didn’t hear any traffic noises.. We didn’t expect too much when we booked the hotel.. but were happily surprised about the efficiency of the rooms.. so overall a nice stay for one night… if you look for a hotel to discover Vienna.. I would go to a more central location like in the first district or 6th with a more lively neighborhood."

"Location of hotel was easy to find and very near the U-Bahn station. However, the station has no elevator/escalator, so you have to bring your luggage up and down the stairs. Check-in and check-out are quick and simple. There are multiple entry and exit points so do see which is nearer to your door; we mostly used the 2nd elevator nearer to the mall. Room is cosy and spacious; fits luggages very comfortably with space to spare. Toilet is clean and big but the water does come out of the shower doors quite abit. Room service is polite and timely; keeps room tidy. For heater/aircon, please ask the reception about the setting before heading up; it has a peculiar setup but works well after setting it up properly. Best part is the hotel has a trinkwasser fountain within 1 minute’s walk; so we have a free water refill every night and day."

"I guess I understand why there were still rooms available when I booked on the same day. For a 4-star hotel that isn't cheap, the value for money is extremely poor. I'd recommend booking your hotel in advance; you could definitely find a much better place for the same price. 1. The hotel is conveniently located near Spar/Hofer supermarkets, and the subway and bus stops are just a few minutes' walk downstairs. That's a definite plus. 2. The breakfast is very simple and unappetizing. I wouldn't recommend it unless you just want to fill your stomach. 3. I scheduled housekeeping a day in advance, but they didn't clean the room. I was too lazy to complain. The second time I requested cleaning, they did it, but they didn't empty the trash from the nightstand and left a cleaning cloth on the sink, which was quite annoying. It's a shame, given such a good location."

"The hotel is directly opposite the train station, which was incredibly convenient for my travels to Budapest and Prague. It's about a 20-minute tram ride to the city center and the cathedral, and within walking distance of the Belvedere Palace and the Musikverein (Golden Hall). The hotel breakfast was good. The facilities are decent, though they only provide a 2-in-1 shampoo and shower gel, which is a bit... well, not ideal, but overall it was good and I'd still choose to stay here again. As for water, you have to go downstairs to fill up bottles yourself; it's not provided in the room."

"The room is conveniently located right across from the National Opera House, a fantastic location. The breakfast ambiance and service were both good, highly recommended. The room's decor is simple, without a hotel lobby, but it's clean and tidy. Overall, still highly recommended. The service was excellent."

"Excellent service! Nice clean room! Free lockers for luggage! The room had some strange odour, though opening window helped. No kettle, no bottle of water. The lockers are not for large suitcases(( Amusement park might be loud."

"Room was perfect, the location is a little bit away from the main city but with good public transport. Just 2 negatives during our visit: 1. There was no hot water available for a day due to some repair work. 2. The cleaner just barged into the room with her key even before the check-out time."

"I really enjoyed my 3 nights stay, modern, quiet, and great location for easy subway trains or tram into the city centre - or even a 10 minute walk away to the station.I thought it might be a long way out but actually worked really well. Only 10 minute walk to the Prater amusement park, great at night! The city panorama room had a good view of the city in the distance on 7th floor. The room was large, really comfortable and very quiet. Cleamed every day with fresh towels. Take a kettle and supplies as the room doesn’t have those. The restaurant is also very nice on site, I had dinner and the food was great and the surroundings very relaxed. I will stay here again!"

"A very comfortable and quiet place. We planned to visit Schönbrunn Palace early in the morning, and this hotel is incredibly close. The environment is pleasant, the hotel is clean, and it has a restaurant and vending machines. The hotel service was also excellent."
