GGuest UserI really enjoyed my stay at SO/Vienna. The room was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. The included minibar was great —well-stocked with high-quality snacks and drinks. I have the cathedral view room, enjoyed very minute. Most importantly, the staff were exceptional. Joebelle made both check-in and check-out seamless and genuinely pleasant. The gentleman who assisted with my luggage was equally impressive—warm, attentive, and professional. The level of hospitality throughout the hotel was outstanding. I highly recommend SO/Vienna. And of course, Das Loft offers one of the most breathtaking views of the city—an absolute highlight of the stay.

LLenshyuuI stayed for 3 days, and the service mostly met my expectations. They helped with luggage, and the turndown service and daily room cleaning were all provided as they should be. The rooftop bar also offers a nice view. There's a gym and a pool downstairs too. Breakfast really depends on the main course you order; after a few days, I found the English breakfast and Eggs Benedict to be quite good. The room had high ceilings, and the view outside the window was also pleasant. Since it's right next to the City Park, it's very close to the station for the Airport Express (CAT) and places like the Musikverein (Golden Hall). From the hotel, you can reach Schönbrunn Palace, Belvedere Palace, or Hofburg Palace within 20 minutes by metro or tram. By the way, buying a city card that includes the airport pass is quite worthwhile (the hop-on hop-off bus didn't seem to have much purpose). Public transport is excellent; the metro and trams are very well-developed, and they run late, pretty much covering everything you'd need. The CAT goes directly from the airport to City Park in one stop, taking only 16 minutes.

JJianxinThis was the second most expensive hotel on my trip, which included Prague (Marriott), Salzburg (Sheraton), Vienna (Andaz), and Budapest (Habtoor), but it was by far the worst experience. We stayed in a suite with two adults and one child, and they only provided three small bottles of water (still water, sparkling water, and a sparkling drink) daily. When we asked a staff member if we could have more water for our child, they replied that they only supply three bottles per day. Seriously?! Housekeeping only came if we specifically requested it every day. Otherwise? If you left in the morning and returned around 3 or 4 PM, you'd be in for a big surprise! Chinese travelers, please think twice before choosing this hotel.

AAnonymous UserI've stayed at this hotel many times, but this visit wasn't smooth. I arrived at 11:30 PM, and even though there were only two people ahead of me, it took almost an hour to check in. The check-in process was incredibly cumbersome and inefficient. After finally getting to my room, I found there was no electricity. The front desk said the hotel was full, which led to another wait. I finally got a new room and settled in by 1:30 AM. This whole ordeal significantly lowered my opinion of the place. The location and value for money are what I value most about this hotel, but the front desk service and efficiency definitely need improvement. Also, I noticed that the kitchenette used to be well-stocked with cookware and utensils like pots and bowls, but now there are very few. If you want more, you have to pay 25 Euros to rent additional kitchenware.

MMauro SuardiAverage for a 5-star hotel. The breakfast and staff were excellent, but the housekeeping and maintenance were inefficient (they left us for two days with half of the bathroom sliding door blocked; it's impossible that housekeeping didn't see it and report it before making it available). Slippers and toiletries were missing. It's impossible to rate a 5-star hotel with 3-star service!

Mmzuza44A perfect, modern base for exploring Vienna! • Location: Superb. Just a 2-minute walk to the U-Bahn (U4/U6), making it a quick 10-minute trip to both Schönbrunn Palace and the city center. • Breakfast: Fantastic variety with their signature waffle station—the best way to start the day. • Rooms: Clean, quiet, and contemporary with great rainfall showers. Great value, friendly staff, and unbeatable connectivity. Highly recommended!

AAnonymous UserBesides the small kitchenette in the room, there's also a large communal kitchen available, fully equipped with all the necessary utensils. The shower has plenty of hot water. Complimentary coffee and tea are offered at the front desk. There's also a co-working space and a gym. You can use a card for the washing machine and dryer, which cost 5.5 Euros for washing and 5 Euros for drying. Just be careful not to swipe your card twice; if you're unsure, you can ask the 24-hour staff at the front desk. Also, there's a lovely ********* lady at the front desk. It would be even better if the cleanliness of the communal kitchen could be improved, for instance, emptying the trash cans twice a week, and cleaning the dishwasher, inside of the refrigerator, microwave, and toaster once a week, with proper checks to ensure the cleaning is done thoroughly.

LLeong Kee KwongI stay in this hotel for 6 nights, generally the room is clean, but room cleaning service is slow, some day after I left hotel in the morning and return around 4pm but room was not clean… The room seems do not have heater as maximum temperature is 25C, no heat mode… One safety concern is the door mechanical lock was not working to my opinion as when we lock it manually/mechanically, we still able to open the door from outside with room key, feedback to reception but their feedback is this is normal, it can use room key to open the door even door is mechanically shut inside…. Generally the reception is not as friendly/ helpful, probably On the other hand, the location is very good, walking distance to Vienna main train station and city train, convenient to go any place of interest.

GGuest UserThe location is superb, nice, clean and quiet. The staff are super friendly and helpful, live World Cup in the lobby is nice. The garage is very good and fair priced. The my last night 4am we experienced city-wide power down due to heat wave, not hotel’s fault though, they resumed the air conditioning but the escalators are out of service

VVerified Member🏨🚇🥐🧼🏙️ I think the hotel is in a very well-connected area. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the main bus and train terminal and just a short metro ride into Old Town for all your sightseeing needs. The room was spacious with solid housekeeping and a clean, well-kept bathroom. No complaints regarding cleanliness — everything was taken care of. One thing to note is that the hotel is massive. We were given the very last room at the end of a long corridor, which meant it took nearly five minutes to walk to the elevator. So when you check in, I recommend asking for a room closer to the elevator, otherwise it can be a bit of a hassle going back and forth. Something that left a bad taste was only being told at checkout that breakfast would be charged as an extra. My honest tip is that if you do decide to have breakfast, just don’t mention it. With the number of guests they manage, it’s unlikely they’ll track who actually showed up at the buffet. The breakfast itself was average — your typical hotel spread. The eggs tasted a bit off, but I made it work with multiple cappuccinos from the machine, plus some sausages and toast to fill up. Overall, nothing fancy, but probably great value considering how expensive Vienna can be. Most importantly, the hotel is very well connected to public transit, with a metro station just a five-minute walk away. That line has frequent trains to and from Old Town, which made sightseeing super convenient. I’ll probably stay here again, though I don’t think the breakfast is worth the price, and I do wish they had been more upfront about the cost from the beginning. Did you find this review helpful? ❤️
