"Furniture was a little worn. Clean though. Close to Bass Pro, Hobby Lobby & Mardel. Several fast food and restaurants close by. We did not eat the breakfast, since a convention was going on that we were not aware of. We would stay again if we are in the Independence area."

"Check-in was great, room appeared clean upon arrival but when you take off your shoes it was bad. House keeping comes very early in the morning and leave at lunch so those of us who work late at night don't get the luxury of a made bed, fresh sheets or, clean towels. Breakfast had 2 options but it is based on first come first serve. All in all..... Not satisfied at all"

"I had a very nice stay. I was there for business. My room was very clean but I walked to the ice machine just across the hall and my feet got soaked. Nothing worse then wet socks. Must of had a machine leak because in the morning they had towels and a blower on the floor. Stuff happens. I like that there was someone there attending at all times because unfortunately the area needs some City Clean Up. Again, not the Hotels fault but I appreciate them looking over the parking lot. Sure would have liked a coffee maker.

"Room 338 was SO hot. Adjusting the thermostat to the lowest setting on AC did not help. The blower ran continuously and was so incredibly loud it gave me a headache and I had to leave and checkout after 3 hours even though my reservation was non refundable :("

Clay Roof Inn has all of the amenities of home, high speed internet, and a dedicated workspace for you workers on-the-go.
Two of the bedrooms have TV's plus a large TV in the living room, all of which have complimentary Netflix.
There's also a sunporch with seating, for enjoying your morning coffee or just to get some fresh air.
Plenty of off street parking, and a large yard!
The only shared space with the downstairs unit is the driveway, however, spaces are clearly marked that are exclusive to each unit :)

Entry is through the back door, and it is keyless entry. You will be generated your own personal access code the day of your check in.

That rings true for this property as downtown, Worlds of Fun, the KC Zoo, and many other attractions are only a short drive from this location!

SMOKING OF ANY KIND IS STRICTLY PROHIBBITED INSIDE!!! We have locations outside and away from the entries where smoking is allowed. An automatic $150 extra cleaning fee will apply if there is any evidence of smoking inside. This includes, but not limited to ashes, butts, smell, or obvious attempts to cover up smoking.

Newly remodeled 3 bedroom 2 bath single level home across from horse ranch, minutes to winery, brewery, dining, shopping, sporting venues (Maverick’s ice hockey, Royal’s baseball, Chiefs football,) walking/biking trails, 10 minutes to historic Truman Square and 20 minutes to Kansas City downtown.
No shoes are to be worn on carpet . A bench is by the front door for convenience and a shoe tray for wet or soiled shoes.
