Chom View Hotel, Hua Hin Reviews

We are here all the time, it's an old hotel, but it's ok, very clean. I sleep wonderfully well in the bed, good quality mattress, the breakfast is simple but good enough. One thing to do in Chom view, is the massage... for a fair price, u get a massage at the beach ! The pool is big for the family ! clean and nice. Honestly, worth money to come and to come back ~~~~

We have stayed in many places in Hua Hin on multiple visits. Here is what you need to know about Chom View. Room: The family rooms are great and spacious with a fridge, microwave, cups, bottle opener, knife, utensils and plates and bowls. I would recommend paying a little extra for ocean view as that has you right on the pool/beach. Breakfast: Skip it! Coffee is awful. Selection isn’t great. The breakfast wasn’t good and most things were out an hour before breakfast ended and you had to wait a long time for a refill. With the mini kitchen in the room you are better of buying yogurt and such and eating ok your beach view balcony. If you must have the hotel breakfast we learned that you can order yogurt and scrambled eggs directly from the kitchen. Beach: The tide is high in the morning so there is no beach to speak of until about 3pm. After 3pm you have a lovely flat beach to run and play on. Location: As frequent visitors to Thailand and motorbike riders the location was fine. Cicada market, Tamarind food Market (only open Thursday-Sunday) and a few other Restaurants are walkable. Otherwise you’ll need to get a taxi/tuk tuk to other sites in Hua Hin which is super easy with a taxi stand right outside the hotel. Staff: In the “Land of Smiles” hospitality is usually top notch. At Chom View the staff seemed more aloof. Although it is fair to say we did not engage them much as we know our way around Hua Hin. Our family of 4 would certainly stay at Chom View again.

The location is superb - the beach is right behind the resort, and the Tamarind and Cicada markets are about a 8-minutes walk from the resort. There was no crowd at the beach at all as we were there during low season, but the beach was kept sparkling clean all the same. The room felt rather old-fashioned but everything necessary is provided. Unfortunately the power went out in the middle of the night for two consecutive days, so our time was not as enjoyable as we expected it to be.

We spent three nights at the Chom View Hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel is clearly showing its age and looks dilapidated in many places. The entire complex is in dire need of renovation as it looks very old and unkempt. The clean and spacious rooms and the surprisingly good mattresses are worth mentioning - we slept very well. Unfortunately, the breakfast was a real negative point: little choice, hardly any quality, overall rather disappointing. The pool was also not clean, which made staying by the water unattractive. All in all: It's OK for a few nights if you don't have high expectations, but we wouldn't recommend it. There are definitely nicer options in Hua Hin.

The hotel is old, but for its money it is a great option. First line, pool by the sea, sun loungers. There is everything for a comfortable stay, the staff is responsive. Breakfasts are normal. Good massage by the pool 👍

It seems good, but the air smells really bad when it's turned off.

Not a bad hotel! I took a superior room with a view of the pool. There was a pool, but there was no water in it)))) But there was another pool - wonderful, with access to the beach. So, I forgave them for the incident with a view of the pool))) The room does not have a balcony, only a window. It is not convenient to dry things. You can give it to the strika - they will do everything for you. Kettle, refrigerator, safe, hairdryer - available. Bathroom - with bath. One big drawback is that the air conditioner can't cope. I couldn’t find the brand of air conditioner on the Internet - it’s apparently very old. It's hot in the room. Not a firebox, but still. Sleeping is torture! I tried to go to the pool as early as possible and get some sleep there. There are plenty of free sun loungers. There are not many people near the pool. Here, at the hotel, they offer massages. Liked. Breakfast is normal - eggs, pancakes, toast, sausages, ham, Thai dishes, vegetables, fruits - watermelons, pineapples, tea, coffee - everything is there. The hotel is located near the Cicada Market and Tamarind Market. The road with transport is nearby. But I took a bike taxi straight from the hotel and went wherever I wanted. Not very expensive. To summarize - the hotel is normal, the location is good, the breakfast is quite good, the staff is friendly. But the air conditioning is just a nightmare. Maybe other rooms and other buildings are better with this. The hotel is worth a visit. And the sea, in my opinion, is cleaner than in the center.

A run-down, old, gloomy hotel, the pool is not clean, the sun loungers are broken. Don't stay here, it's a waste of money.

The hotel is an old building that looks like a sidewalk apartment, so when you open the door and enter the room, there is no entrance, so you just put on your shoes and go in. The swimming pool is in front of the beach, but you had to walk for a while, and it seemed like the off-season base wasn't maintained, so the pool only had water in it. Overall considered a good place. But the housekeeper was not thorough in cleaning. Forgot to put toiletries on the 2nd day. Forgot to put coffee and toiletries. Day 3: Don't put toilet paper in the bathroom even though the paper is almost out. The swimming pool is considered clean, next to the sea and can have a good view.

We had a room with a sea view, it was beautiful. Two-level with a terrace and a large balcony. The hotel is nice, although not new. We did not leave breakfast hungry, everything was delicious. There are night markets next to the hotel, but they do not work every day. There is a beautiful view by the pool, the pool itself has a net at the bottom so as not to injure yourself on broken tiles, it looks heavy and worn out. We ordered cappuccino at the pool bar, it was the worst in our life, there was no foam there.
