Perfect location for entering Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. It's only a 10 min walk to the entrance, which really helped us get in early and beat the crowds.
The room was big and comfortable, but maybe a little dated.
Staff were very welcoming and helped us with things like washing laundry.
Don't expect luxury but it's a great place to spend a few nights and maximise your time in Zhangjiajie.

The shuttle bus to the train station is a plus. The new hotel room is spacious, clean and tidy. The TV membership can be watched directly, which is convenient. The view outside the window is also very good. The breakfast is quite rich. Free drinks in the minibar: I didn't enjoy it. I don't know if it is in the refrigerator, but there is nothing in the refrigerator.

I usually don’t write reviews, but the customer service girl is super nice. She drove here and patiently told me how to get there. I bought tickets for attractions and other things from her. When I left, my boyfriend asked me to get a bottle of water, and he forced me to get 2 bottles.

I traveled to Wulingyuan Scenic Area in Zhangjiajie with my family and stayed at Sijilai Xipan Hotel. The experience was perfect. From the boss to the front desk lady and even the cleaning aunt, the service is warm and the guests are treated with smiles, making them feel like they are in the spring breeze. The hotel hardware is also very good, the rooms are spacious and bright, the clothes are clean, and the price is high. There are three things that impressed me: First, the lady at the front desk will introduce and plan the tour route in detail according to the needs of each batch of guests, which is equivalent to tailor-made, timely and practical. Second, you just need to say hello, and the store will arrange a pick-up from the hotel to the sign gate of the scenic spot in time, and the boss and wife will drive in person. Third, the hotel will provide seasonal fruit plates to guests every night, which is exquisite and luxurious, full of heart.

The location of the hotel is very convenient. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the Tianmen Mountain Cableway. Downstairs is the passenger terminal, and you can take the bus directly to Wulingyuan Scenic Area.
There are many restaurants around which are convenient for breakfast and dinner.
The room was very clean and cozy. The bosses are also very nice and drove to pick us up. Good review!

Had a wonderful stay.
The inn is farther out from the national park than others but it is at a quiet corner of the district.
The room and toilet was standard but other services and amenities stood out for me.
They had small extras such as sewing kit, availability of fruit knife that made the stay more comfortable. The staff also helped with booking of tickets and giving advice on how best to go around the attractions.
Breakfast was at the top floor which provided a great view of the mountains.
The staff, amenities, and breakfast view made all the difference. Highly recommend this inn.

The owner was very helpful! That's why I'm writing this review. We asked many questions, she was always very nice, quick and accurate with the advice for booking tickets for shows and where to do + how to book the 24/48/72-hour PCR test to see the scenic spots., among other things.

Overall, it exceeded expectations. Before checking in, the housekeeper contacted me to inform me of the hotel address, parking lot location and other service information. Parking was convenient. There were many cars in the underground parking lot when I went there. When I left, I just told the front desk to record the license plate number. The hotel is located in a busy area. There is a shopping mall downstairs. It is also very close to Cha Yan Yue Se, so it is very convenient to buy and eat. The morning is not rich, but it is also OK for this price. You can have a meal after 7 o'clock, which is convenient for guests who go out early. The bad thing is that it is a small road to drive into the parking lot. There are electric vehicles on the roadside. Be careful when entering and exiting. There is only one passenger elevator. There seems to be a freight elevator next to it. Great place. Absolutely fantastic. We didn’t have a room with a perfect view but we had an amazing room nonetheless and was surrounded by the beautiful mountains. And the clerks were amazing. Truly helpful and friendly with everything.
If you’re travelling talk to the taxi drivers (provided you can speak Chinese) they can help you organise a lot better than any travel agent as they know the city. And this was amazing advice the clerks also confirmed.

The hotel is located in the city of Zhangjiajie, next to the main river. There is a nice path to walk along the river, especially when it is dark. The city center can be reached by foot.
Depending on the hotel room orientation, the Tianmen Mountain or river is visible. Hotel rooms look according to the website pictures and are clean.
Chinese breakfast buffet is offered on the second floor with varieing dishes. Additionally, a noodle bowl can be ordered.
The reception is very helpful and friendly. Booking service and tour planning is offered for free. They not only showed us possible tours for the National Forest Park, Grand Canyon, and Tianmen Mountain, but also organized shuttle transfer with pickup in front of the hotel.
Basic English is provided. Additional information is translated via good working translator apps provided by them. Foreign tourists should try to add their WeChat account, as this simplifies communication, especially when questions occur during a day trip.

GGuest UserWe have a bad experience with the taxi driver, he actually went pass the location of the hotel and just drop us off and ask us to walk lucky enough we know how to use the local direction app. When we reach at the hotel reception, we also has a bad encounter with the receptionist call ****, when we ask her about the map of the town , she advise she do not know , but worse off all , she serve the person behind me and answer call , and let me stand there without attending and finish off the stay in process. Disrespectful and bad attitude. Anyway her action was apologized by the room care taker and the manager. The manager give us the map and advise us places to go around.
The place we stay is convenient to get food to eat. Small town , good for mountain hiking. The place is commercially made to attract tourist .

TThereseWe had a very nice stay, we stayed 3 people in one room. The room we stayed in was very big and had its own unique style. It was very clean. The hotel is very close to the South Gate of the park. It's a little hidden away from the road, but they were very quick to come and pick us up and drove us to the park entrance every day free of charge. Breakfast eggs come from free range chicken on the ground and they were excellent. Over all the food was very good. It's a small hotel run by a family and they are all very nice and helpful with planning your stay. Location is beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay.

Mmin yiNo. 5 has a holiday home vibe situated atop a hill with a fantastic view of the valley, especially during sunset. The location of the inn may be a little concerning (when we took the didi into the place the driver looked at us weird), but rest assure that the ZJJ Forest park is still extremely accesible. No. 5 provides a transfer service to the West gate, along with a plan of how to explore the forest park that is different from the rest of the visitors as you will be exploring the park starting from the opposite end of the park. Rain also very kindly helped to booked the entrance tickets on behalf of us as we did not have access to a local number.
Everything was dealt with professionalism in a Wechat group, from reservations for dinner, to kindly removing a bug from our abode. The room was very clean and our consumables were stocked daily. Food choices are limited at the restaurant but every dish that we had at the inn was quite decent. We were able to order from the menu at least an hour in advance and when we arrive at the restaurant, the food was already set out on the table. 10/10. Facilities are adequate, with the exception of a slightly sluggish drainage system, but the design of the dry and wet toilet managed the problem fairly well.
Expect to book a transfer service out of the inn, though, as the location is distal from the usual tourist crowds.
No.5 also provides activities for when you feel like staying in, such as baking cookies, making scent packets and other interesting activities. The highlight of the inn though, has to be Yang Ma, the resident tea lady. She makes fantastic tea on request whenever she can, and the tea tastes amazing.
The view, tea, and good service from No.5 makes this place an interesting choice for a slow paced holiday.

RrodrigopmpsOur trip to Zhangjiajie couldn’t have been better! This hotel is a few minutes walking distance away from a secondary (non crowded!) entrance to the National Park. The view from the pool is facing the National Park too, which couldn’t be more beautiful. Same goes for the surroundings as the area is super calm, you can relax indeed. The restaurant serves good typical food (we highly recommend the sea bass fish - both versions). The breakfast is acceptable with a mix of asian western (although mostly Asian you can find such things as yogurt, croissants, butter and bread).
The hotel could be improved in minor details, which we passed on to the team. But these won’t make your experience bad in anyway. What made our stay one of the best in this big China trip was our hostess named Fan! ＜3
She was always available for us, did the impossible to find anything we needed and surprised us all the time. She carefully planned all our itineraries for all the attractions, never forgot a single request and spoke English better than anyone else in the Team. She was 6 out of 5*. ;)
Don’t miss Jojo, the beautiful and cute cat belonging to the hotel. :)
Our room also included a transfer which we used to the airport by the end of the stay, driving us in time to our flight.

AAnonymous UserThe eryatou inn is very accessible and situated a 5 minute walk from zhangjiajie national park. I took a didi down from the railway station. It was very clean and comfortable stay. There’s heated water and daily housekeeping (disposable toothbrush refill etc). There’s a daily night market that opens in the evening outside their inn. The street food is pretty great!
The ladies at eryatou inn were very welcoming and great hosts. They provided a map for the attractions, gave good recommendations on the route to take based on the attractions that i wanted to visit at the zhangjiajie national park and tianmen mountain. They also helped to book tickets at discounted prices based on their connections.
They also sell coffee and tea in their inn, and give a complimentary mini tea snack upon purchase of their coffee / tea.
Overall, a very pleasant stay and would recommend this place for a stay.

GGuest UserThis time, I was very happy to stay at Qiman. It was a highlight of our trip to Zhangjiajie besides the scenic spot. After booking, the housekeepers Xiao Huang and Xiao Xiao contacted us in time to arrange the pick-up, and sent us the itinerary planning and travel suggestions. After checking in, they took us to visit the room, helped us upgrade the room type, explained the travel strategy to us in detail again, and made adjustments according to the weather and our needs, and took us to taste the local specialty berry tea. The driver, Master Hu, picked us up and dropped us off at the middle gate of Zhangjiajie Forest Park every day, and set off at any time according to our time. It was very comfortable to chat. Every day, breakfast and dinner are also very delicious. The aunties in the restaurant are also very cute and will give us a little spicy. When the weather is good, they will help us set up dinner outdoors before we return to the B&B. The atmosphere is super good! We were also given roselle tea on the night before leaving. Every day when we leave and come back to see the staff, they will greet us intimately about how the game is, which is super warm, and we also have a good chat with the two owners of the B&B! We are very satisfied with this B&B as a whole. The room is clean and cleaned in time, the service is warm and thoughtful, and we try our best to meet our various needs. The room design and supplies are very tasteful, the mattress is very comfortable, and the bathtub is fully utilized during the days of walking 20,000 steps every day. GGuest UserDuring our visit to China, we stayed at the ‘Mr Sean Castle’ hotel from 29 July to 1 August 2024.
The hotel is named after ‘Sean the Sheep’ (the character being a favourite of the owner apparently) and, being British, we thought this quirky theme was brilliant… you can see various models of Sean dotted around the hotel.
The hotel was absolutely fabulous and the staff were all so friendly.
As part of our reason for visiting China was to celebrate a 50th birthday, the Mr Sean Castle hotel kindly gave us an upgraded room, which was amazing.
The hotel is in a great location close to downtown Zhangjiajie, but just far enough away to ensure you have a quiet and very peaceful night’s sleep away from any outside noise.
The food at the hotel is first-class, including a great variety of delicious choices for breakfast.
The hotel has an amazing open-air roof-top garden that is packed with beautiful flowers, shrubs and trees… it’s truly breathtaking to see, and was an amazing place to sit and eat as we watched a phenomenal lighting storm play out over the Zhangjiajie mountain range that forms the incredible backdrop to the hotel’s view over the river to the rear.
As stated above, the hotel staff were fantastic, but particular thanks go to ‘Scarlett’ (张思嘉) for her assistance in helping us to arrange the tickets we needed to visit Tianmen Mountain, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon… she sorted everything out for us and without her knowledge and help, our trip would definitely not have been as amazing as it was… thank you again Scarlett!

AAlexanderWe recently enjoyed a fantastic one-week stay at the Harmona Spa and Resort in Zhangjiajie, and we couldn't be more pleased with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the personalized service made us feel right at home. The staff went above and beyond to assist us with logistics, arranging everything from tickets to transportation, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay. The 24/7 attention was impeccable, and the beautiful location and facilities added to the charm of the resort, we got a feeling of Avatar 2.0
One highlight was the great variety offered at breakfast, which we thoroughly enjoyed each morning. Both of the resort’s restaurants served excellent food, adding to our overall dining pleasure.
A special mention goes to the staff members who made our stay exceptional: Johnny and Shan received us warmly on the night we arrived, Cherry and Monica, who not only provided excellent service but also entertained us with their beautiful singing and fun personalities; Pink, who was incredibly helpful, proactive in planning our activities, and quick to resolve any issues

hank you to Mao Mengfan, who hosted us with an amazing barbecue at Flower Valley, Luna from the Chinese restaurant, who provided amazing service; Nikki and Fenfen from the front desk, who were always welcoming and efficient; and Josie from the bar, who made our karaoke night unforgettable with creative cocktails.
Lastly, big thank you to Mr. Li who took great care of our luggage, ensuring it reached the airport when we couldn't return from Tianmen Mountain in time.
We loved every moment of our stay at Harmona Spa and Resort and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie.

PPENELOPE KAYI booked this hotel for my mom since my husband and I stayed there a few years ago and had an amazing experience. However, she said that no one would speak to her in any English (when we were there, everyone was very helpful and the manager was foreign).
She also had a bad experience with a massage she booked. She thought she could charge it to the room, but the woman demanded cash, then once she paid, wouldn’t let her out of the room until she gave an extra tip. Apparently that was the only word she said in English the whole time. I’ve never been expected to tip in China, so this seems like they’re taking advantage of foreign guests who may not know better.
The hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance of the national park, but the concierge tried to get her to take a taxi for way too much to a different gate. Luckily, she called me to ask if that was worth it and I told her, “no, don’t take a ¥50 taxi to another gate when you’re less than 1km from one of the main gates.” It just made her start to feel uncomfortable that everyone in the hotel was trying to trick her.
It’s a shame because the hotel is lovely and the breakfast is actually quite good, which my mom said is still the case. But she had a very mixed experience where the hotel was great, but the staff didn’t make her feel well taken care of. Very different from my husband’s and my experience a few years ago.
