I stayed here without meals during a business trip. The hot springs were also very good. After taking a bath in the evening, I asked the front desk for a bath towel for the morning, and they gladly provided one. If I had to say something, it would be that the washing areas in the bathroom were full when I went to take a bath in the morning, so I had to wait a few minutes. There are only four washing areas in the bathroom, which is quite a small number.

We (my wife and I) were placed at the Route Inn Kitami Nishi Odori for three nights after the original hotel in Kitami where we had a reservation closed unexpectedly. Route Inn is a business hotel chain in Japan, and is reasonably priced, and the rooms are not bad. Here was my experience. We arrived at 4 pm and proceeded to the check-in. I spoke to the check-in woman in Japanese, gave her my name, and she confirmed we would be staying for three nights (we means 1 permanent resident of Japan (me), and 1 Japanese person (my wife)). The female clerk handed me a check-in card and asked me to complete it. I did, giving my name and address in Japanese. She then said to me ”在留カードかパスポートコピーを取らせてください。This means, ”Please allow me to take a photocopy of your foreign registration card or passport. I responded in my most polite Japanese, ”お断り致します。日本の住所ある永住者です。必要ないです。This means, ”I refuse. I am a permanent resident of Japan with a Japanese address. It isn't required.” She simply answered, ”分かりました。I understand.” I'm sorry, but you heard me speak Japanese. You saw me enter my information in Japanese. And yet, you ask for something I am not required to give you. I am not a tourist. What it is is discrimination, plain and simple, because you saw a foreigner. And this is not the first hotel in Hokkaido where this has happened to me. After this unpleasant event, I paid, using my Japanese credit card issued by my local Hokkaido bank. The Japanese man next to me checking in at the same time was not asked to show any identification. Yet, because I don't look Japanese, I must show you my ID, even when the person with me is Japanese? No. I will not. And please feel free to check with the police to confirm what I am telling you. The law clearly states (and I know this because I have read it in Japanese) that non-Japanese with a Japanese address do not have to show any identification to check-in, and cannot be refused check-in for not showing an ID (Law related to hotel lodging, parts 5 and 6.). I cannot tell you how much that request will instantly ruin a pleasant stay. It certainly ruined mine. And when I looked over at my wife standing next to me listening to everything, she was really saddened seeing this happen to me because she saw firsthand the discrimination here. So, Route Inn, please stop asking non-Japanese residents of Japan for ID. It is not, and has never been, a requirement. Because of this, I will not stay at your hotel again. Now, let me get to the rest of the hotel review. The room was reasonably comfortable for a hotel outside of one of Hokkaido's main cities. And the temperature controls made the room comfortable. The beds, however, are really really hard. That's not bad for people who like a hard bed. But, be aware, they are very hard. The bathroom was a unit bath but reasonably large for a business hotel. I did not use the restaurant at breakfast, nor the communal bath on the first floor, but my wife did. She stressed that breakfast was nearly impossib

The buffet at this hotel is the most exquisite, tasteful and seafood-rich of the ones I have ever eaten. Most people who come to this high-class hotel are looking forward to tasting the seafood that has just been brought from the Sea of Okhotsk. Therefore, shrimps and shellfish have more sashimi and are very fresh. Other mixed vegetables, tempura, fresh soup noodles, ice cream, etc. are also exquisitely delicious. However, there is not much cooking here, and people who can't eat raw, cool dishes may be worthless to stay here. In addition, this is a high-class hotel that is not tall but tastes good. For example, the room is not big, but the tatami is a small collapse in front of the window. There is a telescope, which is specially used to sit or lie down and watch birds. In the morning when the tide ebbs, the herons are looking for food at the bottom of the lake. It is still very happy to sit on the tatami and see the birds finally catch the fish. For example, there is a bookshelf in the lobby, with a variety of picture books, poems and books about the Okhotsk Sea (Japanese), magazines, you can bring back to the front desk to see. The hotel is completely surrounded by nature. There are no so-called tourist attractions around. There are very few people. Apart from watching nature, fishing, cycling, hot springs, playing table tennis and billiards at the hotel, there is nothing else to do. If you are lucky, you can meet Hokkaido red foxes, eagle and other wild animals while walking in the nearby Nature Centre. There is a small department selling local products. The nearest convenience store is about 7 kilometers away from the commissary and there is very little public transportation. If you don't drive, buy something you need and come over. The hotel staff's service was excellent, with 4 points because the hotel seemed to be less suitable for foreign tourists. I use Japanese to communicate, so the problem is not big, but if it is in English communication, various introductions may be omitted. The Chinese marked on the coffee machine is also automatically translated, very strange.

I used it when I went to Kitami city on a business trip. The cleanliness of the room was maintained in a new hotel and I stayed comfortably. I think the water pressure in the bathroom was also sufficient. This time I had dinner at the hotel restaurant bikura. Free tickets for dorink (alcohol) at the front desk were also available. The food and menu were locally conscious, the price was cheap, the taste and the amount were satisfactory. There were many kinds of breakfast and egg station services. Located about 5 minutes walk from JR Kitami Station, there are 1 supermarkets and 3 convenience stores nearby. It is in the center and is not troublesome for eating and drinking. The single room is 16 square meters, about twice the size of the 9 square meters Apa Hotel, and it is a line with the business hotel which is developed nationwide chain. Only men's hot water, but visitors can use the 1900 yen splendid hot spring bath, sauna and lounge for free. The hot spring bath is front desk and the staff is stationed. Breakfast is a Japanese style buffet at a Chinese restaurant directly operated by the hotel on the first floor, but any dishes are delicious. There is no Chinese menu in the time zone other than breakfast, and Saturday and Sunday are popular shops lined up with local 々.

When I came back, there were no one responding so I tried to find it and found it.
