"It's a convenient place to stay for a night (a few at most) although the rooms are quite small and the general layout of the building feels very cramped. I'd stay again out of necessity over desire to return but for a cheap hostel in central London you can't ask for much more."

"Perfect spot if you’re exploring London on a budget! Literally steps from Hyde Park and the tube, so getting around is super easy. Staff were chill and helpful, and I met some great people in the common area/bar. Rooms are tight (welcome to London 😅) but clean and comfy enough. Basic brekkie included—fuel before you hit the city. Would happily stay again for the location and vibe!"

"I was booking with bunk bed and then I upgraded it to private pod which is 18 person in the room. In the room itself has a basin and a mirror, but it’s literally in front of other bed. I feel stress stepping in front of others’ area to use the basic, so mostly of the time I was going to share the bathroom. Its bathroom is separated female and male. Female has only 1 basin. Sometimes you have to wait – didn’t think it can be used with 2 people at the same time. It’s extremely small.
My pod come with a curtain. It has 2 lights – you can adjust the light colour tone as warm or cold. The entrance of the pod has a little fan. It was summer, so it’s super hot. I ended up sleeping my head toward the entrance, and my legs are the most in in the pod... so the fans can directly blow on my face."

"St Christopher's Inn Greenwich is the first hostel I lodged when I first got to the United Kingdom in February 2023 and this prompted me to book the place again this year.
The cleaners and some members of staff were very nice and respectful but a short lady was very rude to me. She is light in colour and I have her picture.
I approached her to make some enquiries but she insulted and made derogatory statements to me. She even shouted at me and was very rude. I was embarrassed by her actions and just left the lady.
She pierced her ears and was on duty around 1.30pm on Monday 26th February. Her actions depicts someone who is frustrated and I don't expect the lady to be pouring her anger on customers. What I avoided was confrontation with her because I am a gentle person who doesn't like unnecessary arguments with people. But I feel lodgers deserve some form of respect which for me is reciprocal."

"Hostel is in a great location. Right next to the underground.
Alot of amazing pubs in all locations.
The hostel is fine, I booked because the images shower privacy curtains on the bed.... Yeah they didnt have any.
The floor i was on had 1 shower only and the toilets, showers I went to where all dirty. The room at night was very hot and had a very small pedalstool fan which wasn't helpful very much.
The beds have personal PowerPoint, USB and lights to use.
You also need to pay for a deposit for the keycard and towel if you need one. But it's returned after checkout.
Will stay again"

"I didn't expect too much when I booked a room here. It turned out I really like the place. The pub is pretty close to many touristic places. I can even work in the pub, which was beyond my expectation for a small price per night. The bed has a really narrow angle, though. You can't even sit in the bed. It might be suitable only to sleep, and that's it."

AAnonymous UserI had issues with the app to begin with and missed a lot of updates and notifications, like the 'how to get in' instruction video. However, on arrival the self check-in code machine was not working properly. I tried several times only for an alarm to go off. Others joined me and also tried the code without luck. We tried to contact the telephone number listed but immediately hung up on several occasions. We eventually dialled the 'after 9pm emergency' number who didn't help first time, but helped the send time. Once in, the property was not quite as I expected, but the pods were comfortable if not a little stuffy on a warm night. But it did the trick. The area is perfectly fine, walking distance of Brick Lane, Spitalfields Market and both Whitechapel and Aldgate East train stations. I was a bit cautious late at night being a single female, but once inside I felt perfectly safe. I would use it again when in the area as it was reasonably priced and kinda funky.
JJosh CreekI got a warm welcome at the bar, where the check in takes place, once you have our key card the hostel has a separate street entrance. There is a big communal room, which includes a television, a kitchen, sofas and tables.
Each bed has a spot light, plug socket and curtain for privacy. I thought the showers and toilets were clean and in good condition. The breakfast is plenty and worth the money of £5. Overall a very nice sleepover.
GGuest UserThe hostel’s location and cleanliness are solid, but the operation is a disaster.
First, reception is hidden inside a bar downstairs—confusing for new guests. Staff (who double as bartenders) often leave the desk unattended, forcing you to wait. The check-in system is broken: I was assigned an already occupied bed, and another girl told me she’d been moved for the same reason. After being reassigned, I was woken at 3 AM by staff shining a flashlight in my face, claiming there was a ”problem” with my bed. They confirmed my name but offered no apology—just rude disruption. Turns out, that girl didn’t return at night, so they removed her belongings and gave her bed to someone else!
Instead of fixing their own mess, they disrupted multiple guests in the middle of the night. Unprofessional, chaotic, and downright rude—especially for a chain hostel. Never again.
AAnonymous UserThe location is convenient, close to underground station. The communal areas were cozy. However, I did encounter an issue with cleanliness in the room. Despite this, the service was good overall and the staffs were helpful, making it a decent value for money.

TTrip.com SGJPThe good thing about London is that buses run 24 hours a day, so you won't have to worry about catching the last train, but riding the bus home after drinking can be tiring, so it's good to have a place where you can lie down or take a nap.
YYUEThe hostel is very centrally located, with convenient access to public transportation, shops, and restaurants. It’s definitely a great spot if you want to be in the heart of the city.
However, I was assigned a room in the basement, which had poor ventilation and a noticeable damp, moldy smell. Unfortunately, this made the stay less comfortable.
To make things worse, one of the lights in the room couldn’t be turned off at night, which affected my sleep quality.
It’s a convenient place in terms of location, but the room conditions definitely need improvement.
IISAACI recently spent three wonderful nights at QUEENS ELIZABETH HOSTEL, and I must say it exceeded my expectations! The hotel was impeccably clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were comfortable, and the amenities were top-notch.
I would highly recommend QUEEN ELIZABETH HOSTEL anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating stay. The hotel's attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness were evident throughout my stay.
Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would definitely stay here again. Five stars isn't en
ough – I'd give it ten stars if I could!...
SSurachaiThe bedroom and bathroom are quite narrow. There is almost no place to put it. Strong water, free WiFi, but in the room the signal is not good, there is no TV, but overall good, near the train station. Near a mini-mart, suitable for Backpackers..When sleeping late at night, you can hear the sound of people opening and closing doors, the sound of people walking, disturbing when sleeping.

AAnonymous UserI have to admit, the lobby really surprised me—it’s stylish and has a nice vibe, which gave me a good first impression. The staff I met were pretty nice and polite throughout my stay, which I appreciated. The location is super convenient, and for the price I paid, it felt like a good deal at first. The bathroom was a bit cramped, but at least there was hot water, which was a relief.
But honestly, the negatives outweighed the positives for me
When I finally got to my room, I was shocked to see that the “mattress” was actually just a blue gymnastics mat—definitely not what I expected. Even though the sheets were clean, it was uncomfortable and I barely slept well the whole time.
It was summer during my stay and the room was absolutely boiling—over 30°C in the daytime. There was no air conditioning, not even a fan, and I felt like I was melting every night. Honestly, I dreaded going to bed. The soundproofing was terrible too; I could hear people shouting at night, which made it even harder to get any rest.
Another thing that annoyed me was that the website said there was a dryer available, but it was out of order—just like the elevator.
To be honest, the stylish lobby and friendly staff simply weren’t enough to make up for all these issues. I really wanted to like this place, but I left feeling tired and disappointed.
