My partner and I recently stayed at The Peninsula London, and it was a truly delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home.
Our room was elegantly decorated and spotlessly clean, with a stunning view of the city. The comfortable bed and luxurious amenities ensured we had a restful stay. The hotel also offers a fantastic array of facilities, including a well-equipped fitness center, a relaxing spa, and a beautiful rooftop bar where we enjoyed stunning sunsets.
The location was ideal, with easy access to local attractions and dining options. We particularly enjoyed the delicious breakfast served each morning, which featured a diverse selection of fresh and high-quality options.
Overall, our stay at The Peninsula London exceeded our expectations. It's a perfect choice for anyone looking for a combination of comfort, style, and excellent service. We can't wait to return!

Wonderful hotel with excellent location. The room was clean, very comfortable and had great view of the London Stadium. The location was amazing, next to a huge Stratford Shopping Centre and to the subway station with many subway lines. The staff was friendly, professional and very helpful. KUDO to the Concierge Staff, especially NALEEF, DANIEL, AND ONE OTHER GENTLEMAN (sorry! i forgot his name). My wife got pickpocketed in London. The Concierge staff, especially Naleef, went above and beyond their duty to help us to deal with our distress moments. He advised us to report the theft to the London Police, and also the Concierge staff helped us tremendously to deal with our stolen credit cards. We really appreciated what these amazing staff did for us. Thanks so much to Naleef, Daniel and to all the Concierge staff for making us feel so welcome and for all your unforgettable help during our stay. The world needs more of these people like your Concierge staff. Hyatt should be very proud to have these amazing Concierge staff. We certainly will return to this Hyatt hotel in the future and would highly recommend this Hyatt hotel to anyone!

The Dilly was probably amazing in the 1980's and 1990's but not much has been updated since then! We stayed in a Dilly Classic room which was perfectly fine, a good size, clean with strong Wifi. The shower was powerful and there was plenty of hot water. I know some people on this site weren't impressed by the breakfast but I thought it was great. Obviously, the location is fabulous. However, I didn't feel the room was up to five-star standard. The coffee was instant and the milk small UHT cartons. There was no fridge or mini-bar (though we were in the 'cheapest' room so may be different elsewhere). The toiletries were cheap and basic (so bring your own), there was no plug by the bed to charge devices overnight and no Blu-tooth speaker which seems to be a given now in higher-end hotels. The style of the room itself was quite dated including the landline next to the toilet which I'm sure was incredibly cool in 1986 :) Overall, if this was a three-or-four-star hotel I'd give it full marks, but as it's a five-star, (and more importantly charging five-star prices), it's lacking in some areas. I believe the hotel is currently 'between owners' which makes sense, as I guess the current owners don't want to invest and are ticking along until the new ones take over. It's not dreadful by any means, but they charge a lot for what you get.

From its location and the comfort of the building's exterior to the staff's service attitude, everything scores top marks! Although the hotel's buffet breakfast doesn't offer a wide variety, the quality is excellent, and it was a very comfortable dining experience, with the waitstaff being very attentive! Additionally, the service received at the hotel's main entrance and the exceptional care taken by the staff in handling our heavy luggage during checkout, ensuring it was transported downstairs to the taxi, was commendable. These experiences definitely make us want to return!

Cleanliness - Overall, it is clean. However, there were strands of hair on the sofa, below the cushion, and under the blanket. Bathroom is huge
Location - It is walking distance from Aldgate East Metro. Not centrally located, area seems to be a business district. There is no lift or escalator in this metro station, so having 2 heavy luggages, is a challenge.
Service - Excellent service and friendly team, though they are unable to hold the luggage overnight as i had to do a separate trip to other cities. They provided me with a fan for ventilation as the room was tucked in a corner, which the aircron vent was in the living room. However, due to the layout of the room, the aircon was not able to 'flow' into the room
Amenities - The kettle was abit rusty, a change was done immediately Room was well equipped, washer cum dryer, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, oven, wifi and tv (which can sync and cast music and shows from the phone).
Summary - Its a well equipped one bed studio, fully equipped. It will be close to perfect if the ventilation was better. The 'old' concrete wall (i believe) was the previous location of the TV, needs works to make good as it is unsightly and/or perhaps it can be knocked down? It will be good if there is working table and chair instead of using the dining table and chair to work on.
overall, i enjoyed my stay !

The room facilities are indeed high-end and exquisite, and the bed is very comfortable
The location is also very good. It is the most satisfactory one among the three hotels we stayed in (The Shard, Bulgari, and Mandarin).
However, the service feels not as warm and sincere as Wenhua

GGuest UserReally lovely trip here. Location is great, has many underground lines here, and has a super large mall just 3 minutes walk from the hotel. Staff are great as well and friendly!
Only concern was that there is only 2 washing machine and 2 dryer in the laundry room, and 1 washing machine was spoilt during my stay.

BBianca FUnreal stay!!!!!! Wow what value that offering was. These guys have freshly opened this hotel and to say it is stunning is an absolute understatement, they have not spared a dime with the architecture, finishes and interior decorations. Sublime. Please do my home. Now, let’s talk about the service. As someone who has spent 30 hours in transit, staying on their own, the warmth of the Locke people made me sad to leave. Enormous compliments and praise to Ola and Auzelina who made me feel like I was on a trip with my close gfs, these ladies were extremely helpful, accomodating and kind. They didn’t bat an eyelid at the rubbish that fell out of my mouth at 3am. In all my travels, these two have been the warmest, sweetest people I could have possibly met. I called them my guardian angels. Last but not least, the apartment itself was fully kitted out with a washer/dryer, fridge, cooktop, AC, easy to use TV and wifi, great water pressure, comfy beds, immaculately clean. Unreal. I work in high end real estate where 5 star service and expectation management is mandatory, the Ember locke outdoes any of its competition by a landslide, 10 fold. I hope I have an excuse to get back soon because I miss my 5 day old Locke family and home already ❤️

FFreedom-and-vacationStayed in the one-room apartment for about one week. The hotel is located in a residential area with a quiet and neat neighbourhood. Free on-site parking is available. Train station is a long 15-20min walk from the hotel. There was no lift access, but the staff was ready to help during service hours. The interior of the apartment was simple and relatively clean, though some shelves and cupboards were a bit dusty. The bedroom was small and had no wardrobe, only an open hanger-frame for garments. The mattress was a bit saggy and there were only 2 small pillows. There was no air-conditioning, but only a big fan which made a loud whirring noise when on. The heater-panels were too far from the sitting area... I doubt if the heating would be sufficient during winter. The full kitchen was useful, but got only one small pot and one pan for any cooking. Plates and bowls were not enough for 3 adults, and I had to wash them all for a second course during the meal. Steak knives were not sharp enough for steaks! The washer had no dryer, so we had to hang the clothes around the room. Housekeeping was not done everyday... depends on the length of your stay. So much for the unsatisfactory bits. The nice bits were: The location felt safe and quiet. The staff were friendly, Check-in and out was easy and fast. Luckily during our stay, all the electrical appliances functioned well. There's a communal breakfast area, with all-you-can-eat stuff like bread, butter, jam, juices, milk, fruits, cereal, cookies, tea and coffee. These are available the whole day till staff go off at about 9pm. There is a laundry room for those staying in studios, and the machines and detergent are provided free of charge.
GGuest UserLet start with some positives:- Great location, very close to tube station, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, and within walking distance of many tourist attractions. The area is very safe with both foot and vehicle traffic, travelling as a solo female I never felt unsafe at any time of the day or early evening. The room was well appointed with all you needed in a well set up mini kitchen for cooking some meals, although there was occasionally a cooking smell in the hallways when other guests were cooking something very strong. The main areas, including a fantastic (app. required) laundry were always clean and tidy. There is a seating area adjacent to reception where you can make yourself a drink and relax. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom mid grade with hot water (more about that later) Now to the negatives:- There were two issues whilst I was staying here, one was no hot water for one weekend and no wifi for another weekend. Whilst these issues do occur I'm sure at other hotels from time to time the communication was poor around these issues, with staff not able to answer when these issues would be resolved. After quite a few to and fro's the reception staff finally found another hotel for me for one night so at least I could have a shower. Before I checked out I took the oppurtunity to sit down with Marco, the front officer manager to provide him with my constructive feedback about my stay and the issues including communication. Marco thanked me for taking the time to speak to him, and hopefully my feedback will assist management in future if issues like this arise again. Although these issues did arise and detracted from my overall happiness with the stay I would be happy to stay here again in future as long as issues identified are dealt with promptly and communication has improved.
GGuest UserAt first I would like to thank Monica for the kind welcome and the quick allocation to me of a room - even though I was a few hours before check-in time. Additionally, a huge thank you to Michael for a very nice approach to me when I needed room help on several times and for providing me with all the things - amazing that you need something and he is with it in just after few moments. Like Monica and Michael, every employee should take care of the hotel guest - very pleasant hotel staff - really. The rooms are very clean and functional, well equipped and of course a huge advantage - location. Thank you and I will definitely come back here again. I would recommend the hotel to everyone!More
GGuest UserThe apartment was nice and cosy. Quite a reasonable price for a studio apartment in the city area. But the gap between bed and the sofa bed was so small that is hard to walk through. Not sure why there must be a pillar protruding from the window which one will hit against it when we walked to the bed/sofa bed which I experienced it the second time from booking the same hotel.
GGuest Usergood location for being near to heathrow and west london, otherwise it's a bit far to get to. Has gym, laundry room, and the rooms are good size with small kitchen. Room layout a bit strange with TV behind bathroom door, and bathroom door only opens halfway to stop it hitting the TV, but this is quite annoying. Otherwise good service overall.
GGuest UserThe worst hotel stay I have experienced! Arrived after a hectic day at work only to be greeted by the rudest receptionist I have ever encountered. I travel and stay in London on a weekly basis and have never experienced customer service like it. Receptionist was agrresive in attitude and demanded a cash payment of £100 on entering the hotel. I explained I had paid in adance in full via booking.com with no notification at time of booking that a deposit would be required. Rudely demanded of photo ID and notified a charge of £250 would be taken for evidence of drug use. I am a professional business customer and this was so poorly judged by staff. I was told I was emailed on booking that cash deposit of £100 would be demanded on booking 2 weeks prior. Communication was provided on the day at 9.00am via booking.com email and was not seen due to being at work. Was told I should walk to a cash point in the rain with little direction as to where the nearest cash point was. It was pouring with rain, getting dark and I was a lone female customer. Receptionist replied that she was happy to cancel my booking if I preferred . The day of the queen's return to buckingham Palace with no chance of securing an alternative hotel. After returning with the cash I was given a key card with no holder with room number on. I made my way to my room after clarifying room number twice, staff area doors in corridors left open exposing dirty laundry, key card device broken off door, semen stains on wall, public hair on top of bed sheets. Mortified, so much so I didn't get under the sheets for fear of what I would find. Tried to have a wash to find the shower gel had been topped up 3 quarters with water from a previous guest. Worst stay of my life!!! Unsafe and should be closed down!!
GGuest Usergoodhahahreallygoodniceand it satisfy customer needs and the reception is really nice for them to accompany with these guys feeling like cool
GGuest UserDon’t know where to start. The room it self wasn’t where the reception was, turns out it’s about 100m down the road & round the corner, making the below issues not worth chasing up for a short stay. A horrible smell, Very sewage/stagnant water I would say. Which come from the bathroom sink, which hair & gunge was blocking it leaving a slight blockage. Very cramped, you couldn’t swing a cat around the room. Window latch was damaged, led to feeling insecure even being high up. Dodgy wall fittings. Inc now where to hold the shower head on the wall. Crap little kettle that was broken & burnt my partners hand. Rusty/dusty fan. No bin! All round a pretty grim place. This said room is what my guess is one of a few which is not advertised in the photos when viewing/booking.
