Hotel near Hung Hom and Kowloon City,Hong Kong
Trip.BestNo. 7 of 4-Star Select Hotels in Hong Kong
The Harbour Plaza Metropolis is conveniently located in the heart of Kowloon near the Hung Hom MTR Station. Providing easy access to the transportation network and the New Territories, the hotel is also minutes from the shopping areas of Tsim Sha Tsui. Featuring city or harbor views from oversize windows, air-conditioned rooms offer the comfort of classic wood furnishings. In-room amenities include a safe and an attached bathroom with a shower cubicle.Guests may also choose from a range of dining options within the hotel including Chinese, Japanese and Western cuisines. Business travelers staying on the Harbour Club floor may access the Harbour Club, which provides views of Victoria Harbour and offers complimentary Wi-Fi, local telephone calls and refreshments.Sweeping views of Victoria Harbour can be enjoyed from the pool. There is also a gym where guests get a refreshing workout. Guests looking for relief from the rigors of the day will find relaxation in the sauna.

"The ultimate value-for-money king in Hong Kong! Harbour Plaza Metropolis exceeded all my expectations. Choosing the right hotel is crucial when visiting Hong Kong, and the Harbour Plaza Metropolis absolutely blew me away! Its location is prime – directly opposite Hung Hom MTR Station, just a 5-minute walk away, making travel to and from mainland China incredibly convenient. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus to Tsim Sha Tsui, getting you to the shopping district in just 5 minutes. Being next to the Hong Hom Coliseum is fantastic for concerts, and the International Plaza shopping mall downstairs means shopping and dining are literally at your doorstep. My sea-view room was absolutely stunning. Opening the curtains revealed panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and the Avenue of Stars. The room itself was spacious and spotless, with elegant and cozy European-inspired decor. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the bathroom, with its separate wet and dry areas, was generously sized. The facilities were top-notch: fast, reliable internet, complimentary tea and coffee-making facilities, and an electronic safe. They even offered a free shoe-shine service – attention to detail was exceptional. The biggest surprise was the 25-meter outdoor heated swimming pool, where I could swim while admiring the Victoria Harbour views. The fitness center and spa were also excellent for unwinding after a long day of sightseeing. The breakfast buffet was fresh and diverse, offering a full spread of both Chinese and Western dishes. The staff were warm, efficient, and spoke excellent Chinese, making check-in and check-out a breeze. Whether for business or family travel, this is a top choice in Hong Kong. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit!"

"The room size is quite generous for Hong Kong standards. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. The room facilities are a bit dated, but the hotel is conveniently located, less than a 10-minute walk from the MTR station. There are plenty of dining options nearby, as well as a Sasa, Mannings, and 7-Eleven, which is extremely convenient. I also noticed they offer a bus service. Designed by internationally acclaimed Japanese architect Koichiro Ikebuchi, the Empire Hotel Hong Kong · Causeway Bay is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city while still occupying a central, convenient location on Hong Kong Island. The property is within walking distance of Hong Kong landmarks such as Times Square, Victoria Park and the SOGO department store. Ctrip guests can enjoy express check-in and checkout service at a designated counter. At the hotel's all-day dining restaurant, guests can enjoy international flavors from an a la carte menu.The Empire Club Lounge offers business travelers a full range of comprehensive services including broadband Internet as well as coffee, tea and other refreshments.

"Be careful!!!! Our experience with Empire Hotel was very unsatisfactory. We booked the hotel thinking that its going to be like any other 4-star hotel, as the price per night was similar to others in the area. It turned out, that this is hotel was 4-stars, maybe 20 years ago. The furniture and all room equipment looks like something I’d expect to find in a cheap student rental. Destroyed, quickly fixed with tape or paint (lol), siliconed windows to provide “isolation”, neighbors that you can hear even when they’re not particularly loud. Stained carpets, no amenities like drinkable WATER! We were shocked. No toothpaste or toothbrush in case you forget yours. In our room even fridge was dirty, not to mention the state of shower or ventilation. I would rank this hotel 2-stars. If you’re a fan of white noise this hotel is for you. If not, avoid their AC at all cost! I dont know how people stay there during summer, but its definitely not normal to feel like there’s a vacuum cleaner on next to you. We complained to the staff and were told that all rooms are the same. Trip.com unfortunately was not able to help us with relocation… second great story for another time. We were finally moved to a “better room” just to find out that indeed “all rooms are the same”. We also got a couch there that didnt even stay put together… I dont want to know how much people pay for that “premium” room… Honestly, there are many better hotels in the neighborhood, give them a chance instead of staying here. Good luck!"

With the hotel situated between the Wan Chai business district and the lively Causeway Bay, where premier shopping, dining, and entertainment is clustered, South Pacific Hotel is conveniently located next to the Causeway Bay Mass Transit Railway Station. Most modes of public transport in Hong Kong are highly accessible form the hotel, including bus, tram, and the Mass Transit Railway. Paired with our comfortable and elegant guest rooms, we hope to provide a great and comfortable stay for our guests.

"The hotel boasts an excellent location. It's super convenient to take the Ding Ding tram to Kennedy Town, Times Square, and Victoria Peak. Regarding dining options, there's a Wah So Cafe a short walk away, and we didn't encounter any long queues there. The room comes with a toothbrush and toothpaste, but no comb. It provides shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, hand soap, and even an electric bidet toilet. Including tax and service charge, paying a little over 600 HKD per night felt like decent value. The shower water wasn't very hot, and the room's air conditioning couldn't be adjusted, which made it genuinely a bit chilly. I'd recommend requesting a room closer to the elevator for a slightly better view. The lobby service was excellent; the staff members were all very polite and courteous."

The Emperor Hotel is the flagship store of the Emperor Group in Hong Kong. The design is fashionable and novel, the layout is luxurious and comfortable, and the high-quality service is more personalized. Located in the prosperous heartland of Causeway Bay and Wan Chai on the Hong Kong Island for food, entertainment, shopping and business, the location is superior and the transportation is convenient. In addition to providing comfortable and exquisite rooms and suites, the Emperor Hotel also has a variety of dining options, including the award-winning famous Michelin star Chuanyue Restaurant "Junjing Xuan". Our Monkey Cafe where the taste buds bloom and the top-floor lounge “The Crown” overlooking the charming night view of the city are great for wine.

"Easy access to the Happy Valley Tram stop. Easy check in and out. Room was clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Free shuttle available to and from certain areas. Very tiny for a family of 3. Room was on the 3rd floor next to a 24-hour gym. Nothing to see outside of the window except a concrete wall. Equipped with hot water kettle, toiletries. Access to baggage storage if needed. Breakfast available but we opted not to purchase."

"I chose this hotel for my prenatal stay while getting ready for childbirth, and I ended up staying for over half a month. Overall, the experience was excellent. The location is incredibly convenient, with a shuttle bus service to Causeway Bay available at any time. Right outside the hotel, you can also catch a 'ding ding' tram, which made commuting very smooth right from the start. The hotel staff were all very friendly, especially Leo Fung from the restaurant. He greeted guests with a smile every day, and there were several other kind staff members whose names I didn't catch. The breakfast selection was extensive, with both Chinese and Western options tasting great. The overall value for money was outstanding. Considering I was pregnant, they even upgraded me to a room with a racecourse view for three nights free of charge. The housekeeping staff were also very friendly. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone!"

Situated in SKYCITY of Hong Kong International Airport, Regala Skycity Hotel is directly connected to AsiaWorld-Expo and 11 SKIES, a captivating retail, dining, and entertainment destination. With easy access to Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and Tuen Mun-Chek Lap Kok Link, the hotel provides unrivalled connectivity to the Greater Bay Area and Macau via land, and to the rest of the world via air. The hotel offers 1,208 guestrooms with comfortable and affordable luxury facilities and services that is ideal for MICE, weddings, social gatherings, staycations, as well as individual business and leisure travels. Each of the three restaurants with bars offer an array of exciting gastronomy experience curated by the passionate and dynamic team.

"Thanks to all the previous reviews, my check-in was very smooth. I stayed in a single room with one single bed and a sofa. Although the room was small, it was enough for one person. It seems like the double rooms just replace the sofa with another single bed. The hotel staff were excellent and very enthusiastic. I didn't encounter any unpleasant experiences. The facilities aren't particularly new. The bath towels were a bit frayed from washing. The toothpaste was surprisingly hard, like candy, which I wasn't used to. There's no drinking water provided in the room; you have to get it yourself from a designated spot. Hong Kong's environmental efforts are very thorough. It was very convenient to take the shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel, and then from the hotel to Disneyland and Tung Chung. I'd like to suggest to management that drivers announce the stops at each station, or have pre-recorded announcements in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese playing at each stop. Many people got off at the wrong stop on the way back from Tung Chung because the shuttle goes to the Regal Hotel first."

"The hotel's location is excellent, close to Wan Chai MTR station, but the room facilities are a bit old and basic. Our booking included breakfast and afternoon tea; the breakfast had a great variety, and the blueberry yogurt was delicious. Executive Lounge Afternoon Tea: It was a Hong Kong-style afternoon tea, and the curry fish balls were tasty. The turnip was very flavorful, and the braised tofu and duck meat were also good. Staying at this hotel made it convenient to visit C desert nearby."

"For Hong Kong, this hotel offers great value for money. It's much more comfortable after the renovation, and the location is excellent, just a few steps from the bar street. However, one of the staff members at the front desk was a bit perfunctory. When I asked her where the airport bus stop was, she just said, 'go straight down this road, and the first bus stop is it.' She didn't specify that for the airport, you need to cross the road to the bus stop on the other side. There are airport bus stops in both directions, and naturally, I assumed 'the first bus stop' meant the closest one. Luckily, a kind passerby told me I needed to cross the road for the airport, otherwise, getting on the wrong bus and wasting time would have been a huge hassle. Why work in customer service if you're going to be so unhelpful? A quick tip for everyone visiting Hong Kong: always bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste."

"No frills hotel. It provides what you need for a stay in Hong Kong. The location was good. It was close to the train station and within walking distance of food, the mall and the harbour. The staff were friendly by Hong Kong standards. The only issue was that the bed could have been softer. Overall, I would be happy to stay here again. The photos shared are of nearby outlet shops and the harbour."

MM624408****The room was very spacious, equipped with a kitchenette and all the necessary dinnerware. The views were open and expansive. While the location might be a bit challenging for first-time visitors to Hong Kong, the hotel offers several complimentary shuttle services to and from Central daily. The Pedder Street shuttle stop is conveniently located at the bus station near Central MTR Exit D1. There's also a stop at IFC, but I haven't personally used it, so it's best to inquire with the hotel for specific boarding points. If you prefer taking public transport, from Admiralty Station Exit B, turn right for about ten meters onto Tamar Street, then turn right again and walk twenty meters to the bus stop for the 12A. It's only two stops to the hotel, at the 'YWCA' stop. From there, walk back about twenty meters to reach the hotel. When heading back to the hotel from Central, the 12A bus is also the best option. It will first go to Admiralty Bus Terminus and stop for a few minutes while the driver takes a break. You can simply wait on the bus; there's no need to purchase another ticket. I figured this out after staying for four days, as the 12A is a short circular route specifically designed for MacDonnell Road residents. Every time I queued at Admiralty, I'd see people already on board, leading me to conclude they had traveled from Central and were waiting to go up the hill back to MacDonnell Road.

GGuest UserHotel room is good, room sizing is very large compare to another hotel with thecsame grade around this area. But!!! The breakfast is very poor, The hotel put many bacon and sausage since open hour. After that no reheat or replace new one if the bowl is empty, the hotel just takes it out and adjust the other bowl even it's still a breakfast time. So, don't spend 150pp for this cheap quality of food. Other parts it's fine.

GGuest UserI booked this hotel randomly, but it turned out to be excellent. I was assigned a room on the 31st floor, which offered a stunning view of both the river and the mountains. The room itself was clean, and most importantly, the location is absolutely superb. There is a tram passing right in front of the hotel, and it's within easy walking distance of the main shopping district. Additionally, there is a convenient store right outside the hotel where you can buy cheap snacks and drinks. I do have to deduct a small point, however, as the pillows were not very comfortable. Despite this, I will definitely stay here again!

MM29909****A very mediocre experience. The front desk assigned us a room on the 4th floor, which was incredibly noisy facing the street late at night. There were no toiletries or slippers provided at all. The toilet also suddenly started malfunctioning in the middle of the night, making continuous noise, and the soundproofing with the next room was terrible. Overall, it was a pretty surreal experience.

GGuest UserThis hotel provided super good class mattress. Even much better than 5 star hotel. My room is on 21 floor and the city view is beautiful. The hotel price is not high in compare with other 4 stars hotel in hotel. I definitely will go back to stay in this hotel because I want to have a good sleep

AAnonymous UserFirst off, we tried to cancel our reservation because our child was unwell, but the hotel wouldn't budge. Luckily, our child recovered, so we came to Hong Kong. After checking in, we had a lot of luggage, and no concierge offered to help. The hotel also doesn't provide complimentary bottled water; you have to buy it yourself. Even extra toiletries cost money. They do have a free shuttle bus to Tsuen Wan Station and Tsuen Wan West Station, which is very convenient. We booked a sea view suite, and the view was indeed lovely. I've stayed here a few times before, but this was definitely my worst experience.

AAnonymous UserSome sections of the hotel are newly renovated, boasting a more contemporary style. However, rooms on the 14th floor and above still retain a 1990s aesthetic. Cleanliness was satisfactory, though the facilities are a bit dated. Comfort levels were acceptable. The surrounding area offers abundant dining options, public transportation is convenient, and Victoria Harbour is within walking distance.

MM310828****Facilities: Basic and simple, typical of an express hotel. Cleanliness: Standard and clean. Environment: Overall satisfactory. Service: Quick response. Breakfast: The taste of the breakfast offerings was good, but the variety of dishes was much simpler compared to hotels of the same caliber domestically.
