"The hotel's location is a perfect 10/10, but you need to be prepared for everything else. In 35-degree heat, the absence of air conditioning and the inability to even get a fan for our attic room was definitely a drawback for the hotel and staff overall. Management didn't even attempt to solve the issue, stating there were no other rooms, and no AC units or fans either. Basically, you're on your own. But hey, at least they made the bed with a warm blanket!😅 Generally, the staff was slow and unresponsive. Besides the location, there was nothing I liked about this hotel."

"Very good stay. Warm welcome. Be careful, don't expect employees dressed as penguins, it's a chic but relaxed house. Super pleasant room with a beautiful sea view. The staff is attentive and caring. The breakfast products are of very good quality, their small local producers are carefully chosen, and it shows, and tastes. The service is adorable, with advice on the region to visit (which we did and it was great). Excellent cocktails at the bar in the evening, very good advice from the bartender. The Chef is very good, and once again very good products, perfect service. A small remark: we would like a menu a little richer, to have a little more choice, a starter and a main course in addition for example. But it is a seasonal menu, with fresh products and the answer is probably there. Finally, the place is enchanting, the garden, the view, and it is made for people who want to feel at home, but better. We will be back with pleasure."

"We spend 1 night in this outstanding and extraordinary place! It is lovely and quiet and just a short 1 minute drive to Honfleur. The property is huge and exceptionally beautiful. Grounds are beautiful and the pool is heated. Rooms are also excellent. Bathroom was huge and also excellent. Breakfast was excellent as well with lots of delicious pastries. Staff was very friendly and berry caring. It is a small property with something like 8 rooms. Parking is on site (free and very convenient). Overall excel and outstanding place. Very very high scale!"
Domaine du Clos Fleuri - Spa
"Pleasant hotel but very overpriced for what is on offer. Rooms comfortable but no better than a good version of Premier Inn. For £330 for 2 nights I expect than just a shower in the bathroom. Some of our party had a "deluxe room" with double bed and room for a third person and a snazzier bathroon with a bath (£430 for 2 nights) - the 3rd bed being a fold out/flip out foam rubber affair with no bedding provided even though the hotel knew the bed would be used, Our reason for choosing the hotel in the first place was because it offered an indoor pool with the equipment to offer a strong current to swim against. Also a sauna. Neither of these were operational during our 2 day visit. For those kind of prices one could also reasonably expect a comfortable sitting area/lounge for when the weather was not suitable for the terrace. All that was on offer was a few hard chairs in the breakfast area. There was an additional area (not much more comfortable from the look of it) which was blocked off with a notice that it was not allowed to be used. Pleasant enough, but not up to those prices or value for money. When we mentioned the lack of pool current machine & sauna we were given a 20 euros reduction on a 1,600 euro bill. "The is a perfect place to stay, the house and garden are very beautiful and close enough to walk into the centre of Honfleur. The welcome we had was so lovely, greeted with a delicious glass of local Cider. Eric really went out of his way, from sorting out the best local restestants for us to eat & lots of good local knowledge. The rooms are beautifully decorated, beds sre soo comfy and it was spotlessly clean. Great to have private parking too."

"A big disappointment. location good, parking safe. But no airco, just a fan in a sweltering room. No shower, only a bath. Breakfast starts at 8am, but because of the heat I wanted to leave early, I got an orange juice and bought some croissants at a bakery. Internet is low speed. This was the most expensive hotel on my whole trip and absolutely the worst."

"A lovely boutique apartment-hotel in a great location with wonderful hosts. If you want to experience the heart of old Honfleur, this is the place to stay. Garden, folly and terrace are all great places to read a book and watch the world go by. Can park nearby for free - handy as town is mainly pedestrian. I strongly recommend the breakfast too - delivered in a basket to your room."

"Lovely stay in one the courtyard villas. Was more than big enough for our family of four, plenty of equipment. The hotel itself is very charming, lovely to come back to in the evening. Very close to the centre, host was very hospitable. We didn’t realise we had breakfast included, but she kept it open for us!"

"The location of the hotel is at the old town, actually is a bit hard to find the entrance if you are driving there. As we are driving we miss the hotel at the first time. So for people who is driving there you can actually stop in front of the hotel and press the bell and people will come out and help you with the luggage The service is really good, they carry our luggage all the way up the room The room is big and comfy, they have bath hub and steam bath, which is really nice"

"My husband and I stayed for a week we had a fantastic time. The rooms are great, bit noisy at 6 am but we sleep with windows open and we are more used to the sound of geese. The staff at the resturant with same owner were wonderful. Couldn't fault it in any way. Honfleur is interesting place and the museum pass at 18Euro per adult well worth it for 4 museums. Best gite holiday we have had plan to go back next year for 2 weeks."

"This is the second time we have stayed at A L'ecole Buissonniere and, like last time, it was fantastic. The welcome is warm and friendly, especially from Tango . The accommodation is first class and the location is perfect. It's minutes from the harbour but calm and tranquil. The beds are extremely comfortable and the shower is luxurious. Breakfast is classically french and changes daily but all the ingredients of tof the very highest quality. We will be back again soon, as will our friends."

Breakfast had a savory hot dish and a sweet one, plus all the breads and others. Only downside was we only spent one night there. "

"We came to spend the weekend at this hotel, which looked very appealing on paper; the photos were attractive. However, the pool wasn't clean, and the hammam was out of order. We arrived in our room to find a bed that creaked terribly, a shower head completely covered in limescale (making it impossible for a woman to wash her hair), and very kitschy decor."
