Days Inn by Wyndham McDonough

"I needed to go out of my way to write this review. And I will begin by saying the front desk staff was very nice. But....I cannot even say you get what you pay for bc I stayed in an exact same priced hotel the night before and it was night and day different. This place is very bad. Dirty shower, busted things around the room, tp holder falling off the wall, outlets...Breakfast was not even worth taking. I needed a place basically to sleep and this barely met that. Gave 2 stars bc of service, and location. Everything else was awful."

Extended Stay America Suites - Atlanta - McDonough

"Pros: clean, comfortable bed, all the stuff you need/want: fridge, microwave, two burner stove, work and kitchen area, big TV, etc. Showerhead was tall and the water pressure was decent. I felt safe there, which is important as a single traveler. Cons: I heard every single step that the people in the room above me took. All night long. But that is why I travel with earplugs. Also, while my room didn't smell like it, as soon as I walked onto the second floor hallway, I was hit with dirty ashtray smell. Whenever I turned the bathroom fan on, I would get whiffs of it, too. Would I "stay a while" (as this is an extended stay hotel)? The answer is no, but, for the price I paid, it was fine after an exhausting travel day."

"If your standards are none, this is your best choice. Dirty, unacceptable, and less than hospitable are the words that come to mind to describe my stay. Dirty shower floor, hair in shower, in the sink, in the drawer, unvacumed carpet. Requested a new room upon check in, and was told no rooms were available, but that management would get back to me - they did not. I then requested a new room in the morning and was told that despite my request, I would not be moved, but housekeeping would do a deep clean. I watched housekeeping wipe down surfaces, and change linens. It was not a deep cleaning by anyone’s standards. The construction made this hotel an eye sore and was appalling to me, considering what I paid for 3 nights. None of these things should be so carelessly visible to the consumer. I always had to look for a front desk staff member, and when leaving, had to call from my cell phone to check out because no one was there. It was so bad that I checked out a day early, because I was done with the second class experience. Customer service is non existent here. This is a motel with hotel prices. Good luck to you!"
