Room is clean but is kinda old school hotel everything is analog. Main issue is the lack of power points around the room. No shampoo and body wash in the room as well, available at the onsen area. No free bottled water in room. Onsen is great. Supports baggage delivery service to Hakone-Yumoto station. Location is alright if you have a Hakone free pass, 4 away from Togendai station. Entrance to hotel is pretty. Might be able to see Mt Fuji on a good day.

Very good hotel on the quiet hill with free car park. pretty close to the tourist attraction. Room size is very reasonable, dinner and breakfast is great.

Located near two bus stops, easy access to public transportation makes Hotel Kagetsuen a convenient place to stay. It seems well-managed, with amenities provided as promised, and facilities that are clean and working. The room we got was comfortable and relatively spacious. Their buffet breakfast was good, and the view during autumn (see photo) was quite stunning and formed part of the memories that made our stay at Kagetsuen truly outstanding. We can’t recommend Hotel Kagetsuen enough and would opt to stay there again on our next visit to Hakone.

The place was in the middle of the mountain, it's an hour trip from the train station. The rooms are for smokers. And the place was super dirty

It was a nice and quiet stay with a private and public onsen

Good location about 10 min walk away from Togendai station. Room was basic but comfortable enough to have a good rest. Free snacks were provided in the room. Private onsen was spacious and great for relaxing and showering, though only 4 private rooms are available and there may be a queue. Buffet breakfast tasted great, with a variety of both Japanese and western dishes to choose from.

The service is good. There are large baths and private baths. I am very satisfied. There are many types of breakfast to choose from. You can enjoy it slowly. In addition, there is a convenience store nearby, which is convenient for buying other things you need.

The hotel is not new, but we liked the price-quality ratio. You can walk to the hotel from Tōgendai Station along a well-equipped asphalt path in about 15 minutes (about 750 meters). The climb is not very steep. It would probably be easier to walk from Ubako Station, but we did not try. There is a T bus stop next to the hotel. The bus runs every 15 minutes until 8 pm. The dinner at the hotel is excellent. The breakfast is ordinary, there are European and Japanese dishes. The hotel has 4 private onsen. They are open 24 hours. No need to book. There is also a public onsen, for men and women. We were in the children's one. The windows of the rooms overlooking the garden offer a side view of Fuji. There is a magnificent garden next to the hotel. During our stay, we saw azaleas. Of the disadvantages, I can only note the unpleasant smell in the hotel. Most likely the carpet that covers the floor has absorbed the smell of cigarettes and old age, it is not a young hotel. But overall we really liked it.

Overall it's OK, but it would be much more convenient if you have a car. The food quality is OK and fresh. The buffet is highly rated. The food is fresh and exquisite. Although the dinner portion is small, it is delicious. The room is neat and clean👌

The facilities are relatively old, the hot spring area is very thin and simple, the dinner ingredients and taste are average, and the breakfast is okay!

It's a bit far to walk to the hotel. It's recommended to take a bus. The location is pretty good. The area near the hotel is quiet and quiet. During our stay, the maple leaves were just about to turn red, with overlapping layers and beautiful scenery. The room layout is more modern and it can be seen that it has been redesigned. Although the bathroom does not have a bathtub, it has a large space for separating wet and dry areas. If you want to take a bath, you can go to the private bathing room. There are four in total. If someone has a bath, they will have to wait a while, but their turn will come soon. Dinner was Japanese cuisine made with local specialty ingredients, which was quite delicious. It is generally regarded as a hotel with good CP value. It is recommended for the petty bourgeoisie or couples to stay.

Inside the hotel, you can wear the provided Japanese clothes and walk around freely, which is very comfortable. The hot spring facilities are great and they provide a wide variety of cosmetics.

Japanese tatami is OK, the hot spring facilities are relatively simple, not outdoor, and it is a public bath. It is OK to stay here for two days in Hakone
