Very clean. Great service and friendly staff. Onsen is wonderful. Only issue it the location, especially in the evening. If you're looking for a place for relaxation and quietness, it's amazing!

Amazing hotel in an amazing location. The Japanese style room was very comfortable and the use of the private onsen a bonus when booking a stay there. Since we were driving we also appreciated the free parking on property. We had an amazing stay!

Although a reservation is required, the private hot spring is very attractive. There is no bathroom in the room, but the shower is available 24 hours a day, so there was no inconvenience. The room was a Japanese-style room, so it had a Japanese feel and was clean, so it was a comfortable environment, but it was a bit cold at night even with the air conditioner on.

Yuyuhakone is simply the worst hot spring hotel I have ever stayed in in Japan. It was such a disappointment that I even doubted my life! First of all, the location is ridiculously remote. The entire hotel is hanging alone on the side of a mountain road. There is no one around and there is not even a convenience store. If you want to go out, you have to take a bus or a taxi. There is only one bus route and you have to wait for a very long time. You are basically trapped in this remote place. Let's talk about the so-called "open-air bath", it's simply a joke. The equipment was extremely rudimentary, with all the facilities squeezed into a shabby shed. When I arrived, the temperature was minus 3 degrees Celsius at night, and the water temperature was not hot enough. The outdoor water was icy cold, and it felt like I was woken up by cold water. The bathing equipment is even more outrageous. You have to keep pressing to get the water out, making the whole bathing process like participating in some endurance challenge. It's so exhausting that I doubt my life. The room conditions were equally terrible. Not only is there no floor heating, but there is a heater under the TV, which turns out to be just a decoration and is purely used to deceive people. The only heating device was the air-conditioning heater, which came with a "surprise easter egg": it automatically shut down after being turned on for a while. I asked the front desk to check, and it turned out that the circuit breaker had tripped! It is really speechless that such basic facilities cannot function properly. As for dinner, it was barely the only part that was not that bad. The taste was satisfactory and the price was not too expensive, but it could not save the whole experience from being ruined. It is really ridiculous and sad to offer this level of service and facilities at this price. In a word, I will never come to this store a second time, and I would advise anyone who comes to stay away.

It was a bit disappointing that the hot springs could only be used once for 40 minutes. I think it would have been nice to have a separate large bathhouse. The room was spacious and the staff were friendly.

The environment is clean, but the room does not have a bathroom. You can only bathe in private hot springs. A private hot spring bath for a family of four is pretty good. The environment is quiet, and you can log into your own YouTube or Nexfilx on the TV to watch the movies your children want to watch.

I booked a room immediately after seeing the Chinese service at the front desk. This is great for a Chinese like me who is going abroad for the first time and doesn't know Japanese or English and can't communicate deeply. It gets dark too early in Japan this season. It was dark when we came out of the museum. Fortunately, we contacted the front desk and the front desk suggested that we take a taxi to the hotel. It was dark when we arrived at the hotel. The hotel is on the mountain, with good vegetation, great air and quietness. The room is Japanese style. The style of the whole room is great, large and clean. There are also kimono bathrobes when checking in. I learned to wear them after following the video for a long time. I seem to be able to do it a little bit😄The hotel supervisor is a ********* compatriot, and the front desk ladies are super enthusiastic. They also drove us to buy food and talked to us about many local customs and food, as well as the hotel's future design and planning. I am looking forward to the next visit. At night, we took a private bath, which was very comfortable and private. The mask in the private bath is really super easy to use, so I took a piece away...☺Hehe... The next day, the supervisor brother and sister sent us to take the bus and told us where to go and what to eat. It was really a great experience. Next time, I will bring my parents to this hotel. Not only is the environment good and hygienic, but the people are also super nice😊

The location is close to Owakudani and Hakone-en, much quieter than Kowakien and Yumoto. The J bus stop is right at the door. A few stops ahead is Owakudani, and a few stops behind is Kojiri and Hakone-en. It is very convenient to go there. The shop is mainly run by ********* friends, the Chinese service is great, and the hot springs are very good. The manager, Mr. Lai, is very nice and the service is very enthusiastic. I stayed for three days and took a bath for three days. It was comfortable, leisurely and enjoyable. Thank you very much!

Great, 100-point stay experience. The private hot spring has a usage time of about 50 minutes, which is very sufficient. The facilities in the hotel are clean and tidy. There are different activities provided, such as children's play facilities, table tennis tables, board games, etc. It is very suitable for a family or a group of friends to stay. It is definitely worth the money. It is a pity that I didn't book an extra night. I will definitely stay again if I have the chance.
