**Quick Hotel Review** ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This hotel was fantastic! **Great location**, **super comfortable beds**, and **excellent service**—everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The staff were attentive and made us feel welcome. The only downside (which isn’t the hotel’s fault) is that **smoking is allowed throughout the city**, including in the building, restaurants, and public areas. It would be much better if the hotel and surrounding venues were **non-smoking** for a fresher environment. Overall, a **highly recommended stay**—just be prepared for the smoking culture in the city. Would definitely return!

Good: Very convenient location (just beside the tourist area 骑楼老街), there's a running track by the river just opposite the hotel, good view, staff is very friendly and helpful. Can be better: try to ask for a room with no sand area in it (as they are a theme hotel, for example my room is ship theme so there's some sand area in the room), smokers everywhere (something they can't control too)

Don't be put off by the seemingly aged hotel entrance (it was by design). The facilities inside the room were very modern. Shower was strong and so was air con -- very important in hot weather. Excellent location, being right next to the Qilou old street. The free museum guided tour was very interesting. Reception staff super friendly.

Strategic location and we were offered a room upgrade with a balcony. The hotel and room design is unique. As the hotel is a bit dated, certain things may not work in the room. But overall is a good stay, value for money. The hotel even gave us a free dumpling. Highly recommended if u would like to stay near the old street with a quiet environment. It's facing the river and main road, so easy to call for cab.

Hotel is located around 200 metres from Qilou old street. It is largely decorated with different exhibits from all over South-East Asia. It comprises of different themes at different levels. Room is big and spacious. Worth recommending if you wish to stay near Qilou old street.

The hotel is full of old stuffs which was quite scary. The location is super good. There are many restaurants justbehing the hotel. The ancient road was good.

Very good location near to Qilou Old Street. Food street is just nearby with lots of local food and snacks. There are many shops selling souvenirs or snacks too. Room is clean and spacious. Unique design every room. Water strength is good for shower. Room has a little cigarette smell which I don't like. But smell is mostly gone in the evening after turning on the air withdrawal fan in the washroom. Otherwise all is good. The front desk staff was very friendly.

A quaint little hotel at a convenient location. Excellent service with friendly staff.

Overall is good. Staff don’t speak english but very helpful. Though bathroom door is strange since there is only a curtain for the toilet and transparent door for bathroom. So if you are not traveling alone, keep that in mind.

Extremely satisfied with my hotel room, and especially with the service. Hotel staff, even the cleaning personnel, was very patient, friendly and helpful. Location is great, and private-hire rides are easy to hail from the hotel lobby. And there are nice little touches - complimentary snacks, free gifts, there is a Chinese new year couplet given too (as I visited over the festive period) - to make one feel welcome and safe. Highly recommend this neat, charming place to stay in Haikou, particularly for first-time visitors to the city.

Our first time in Haikou. The only reason for booking this hotel is that it is steps away from Qilou old street. Lots of local food around, best when hampered by sightseeing issues due to rainy day.
