The room facilities are also a bit old-fashioned; the hairdryer stops working when it gets too hot, and the sink drains very slowly. The sink and hand soap dispenser are also very far apart, and the soap dispenser is fixed and cannot be moved, which I don't understand! However, the room view is quite good, and the buffet breakfast is excellent."

Plus, it included several meals, which is a really good deal! Though we ate out every day and didn't really use the hotel's dining much, they even offered late-night snacks."

While the facilities might be a bit older, leaning towards a 10-year-old style, I personally love that grand, prosperous feeling from that era. A special shout-out to the staff at the Haikou Guest House – they are incredibly enthusiastic. This morning at breakfast, I casually mentioned that it would be even better if they had coconuts. By the time I finished breakfast and went upstairs, they actually delivered a fresh coconut to my room! That was such a delightful surprise! 💕 I've stayed in many luxury and even ultra-luxury hotel brands across China, but I still think the Haikou Guest House is truly outstanding. If I ever get the chance to visit Haikou again, I will definitely stay here! 😁"

"Second time at Haikou Marriott, and it's truly a hidden gem! Boasting a prime ocean view, the facilities are top-notch. The rooms are spacious, the bedding is comfortable and odorless, and both the air conditioning and shower heads work perfectly. There are many pools in the garden, and the water quality is excellent. The环岛 (island-hopping) pool is particularly entertaining, loved by both adults and children. If you encounter any issues, the staff are quick to ask and offer assistance, showing great responsibility. Enjoying a fresh coconut after a swim is just pure bliss! I especially want to commend our butler, Fiona. She proactively connected with us on WeChat to discuss our needs, considering our travel party and profiles, and arranged a perfectly suitable room. We were able to check in directly upon arrival at noon, and knowing our return flight was late, she thoughtfully arranged a late checkout until 4 PM – truly a huge thank you! In short, Haikou Marriott has become my go-to choice for a seaside getaway, and I'll definitely be back!"

The bed is neither too soft nor too hard, and the soundproofing is effective, ensuring a good night's sleep. The front desk staff are friendly, and the check-in process is quick. Amenities include self-service laundry and a gym, both very practical for business trips or vacations. The breakfast selection is also diverse. This is a highly recommended hotel with great value for money near the airport."

"Checked in on my birthday – a Leo has to celebrate at the Ritz! The hotel called beforehand and I added the butler on WeChat. The overall style is a British manor resort, which is exactly my personal preference. My butler, Winni, upgraded my room type to an executive golf view room (a huge thank you again to Winni, who assisted me many times during my stay; she was always calm, thorough, and highly professional). In terms of location, it might be a drawback if you want to stay in the city center or by the beach. However, for a relaxing getaway, golfing, celebrating an anniversary, or a transit stop, it's definitely the top choice in Haikou. Winni, the butler, asked for my arrival time in advance and arranged a birthday surprise in the room (birthday cake + custom room key + room decorations + a handwritten card – incredibly thoughtful!). During my stay, I tried putting on the green twice and an 'Eight-Section Brocade' morning exercise session once. The gentlemen leading the sessions were very patient. I also swam in the hotel pool every day; it's 25 meters long and the water quality is excellent. The gym was also great – well-equipped, with a bottle of mineral water and a towel at each machine. There were also cold mineral waters available in the fridge. For dinner, I ate at the Sky Bar. They had reserved a table with a view for me and decorated it. As soon as I entered, the gentlemen and ladies (staff) all wished me a happy birthday – it was truly delightful! Breakfast was at the Italian restaurant. The lady who greeted me meticulously explained all the ingredients and food stations and then guided me to my seat. The beef brisket noodles and eggs Benedict were delicious! For hot dishes, I particularly enjoyed the black pepper beef ribs and steamed pork ribs. My child was still asleep in the room, so the kind lady at the restaurant thoughtfully packed some small cakes, eggs, and a glass of room-temperature milk. The mattress was very comfortable, and I loved the bedding – it was fluffy but didn't feel unsupportive. The bathroom had a double vanity and a wet/dry separation, and the bathtub was a good size (the bathroom decor felt the most 'Ritz' to me, haha). Overall, The Ritz-Carlton will always be my top choice for important occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. I look forward to my next visit."

"My stay at Sofitel Haikou was quite comfortable. The sky lobby on the 35th floor offers amazing views. The front desk lady handled my check-in and check-out efficiently. When I asked to store my luggage for a bit longer, they kindly helped me by sending it to the concierge on the first floor for easy pickup. It's very close to Evergreen Park, perfect for a pleasant evening stroll. The room has great natural light, and overall, it was a relaxing and comfortable stay. Definitely worth coming back to."

"To celebrate Children's Day, I brought my family to Mission Hills again, but this stay was a mixed bag. I rarely write reviews, but this time I really want to give a detailed one. First, let's talk about the good parts: 1. Upon check-in, the lobby service was very friendly, especially Steven from the lobby staff. Before our car even stopped, we heard a warm welcome. He helped with luggage, guided us through check-in, and introduced family activities, etc. He left a deep impression on me and instantly brightened my holiday mood. Check-in at the front desk was surprisingly fast, no waiting at all, which is rare. 2. The lobby bar staff was very enthusiastic. From entering the lobby bar to sitting down, they thoroughly explained the afternoon tea options and thoughtfully informed us about available discounts. Absolutely fantastic! I apologize for not remembering the name of this excellent staff member. 3. The recreational activities were plentiful. At Squirrel Land, there seemed to be many staff members, but no one proactively asked us what we wanted to play. After we inquired, we paid for the chargeable activities. While my child was enjoying an activity, a young lady came over and enthusiastically introduced the Children's Day activities available tomorrow. This definitely deserves praise. Now, I need to talk about the disappointing aspect: the buffet dinner!!!!!!!! Looking forward to Mission Hills' buffet dinner, I booked a package that included it. I also invited two relatives to join us for the buffet. I spent over 400 RMB on ** (platform name omitted, assuming it's a booking platform), and for 4 adults and 1 child, I estimated the total buffet cost should be at least 800+ RMB. What kind of terrible dining experience did I end up having? 1. On May 30th, I called the restaurant in advance to make a reservation, but was rejected. I was told to come early to secure a table because there was a group booking. At exactly 6:00 PM, I arrived at the restaurant. It was incredibly crowded, and many food items weren't being replenished. A waiter suggested I come back after 7:30 PM. Okay, I accepted. I called my family members and told them to come after 7 PM. 2. At 7:10 PM, we went back to the restaurant and finally got a table. Then, something even worse happened: there was nothing to eat. Plates were empty. We were given four lobster coupons, but we couldn't find any lobsters anywhere??????? In the end, we didn't get any. The plates were empty, the grill was empty. Okay, we waited, until almost 9 PM. We mainly ate noodles, fruit, and air, and felt full. We didn't want to make a scene and spoil our mood further. The table next to us was complaining. So, I advise anyone planning to have the Mission Hills buffet dinner soon: don't choose it. You'd be better off going to Mission Hills New Town for other dining options. 4. Regarding breakfast, has the quality declined? What happened to Mission Hills' standards? Besides the rooms and hotel facilities, which are still familiar, the F&B is simply a disaster. I apologize, but I'm still angry thinking about it now. I suggest checking out the Sanzhengyue buffet dinner. It's similarly priced at over 200 RMB per person, also full, but the food quality is consistently good. Finally, on the check-out day, I met a short-haired female manager in the lobby and couldn't help but voice my complaints. I'm grateful that someone listened. So, ultimately, I'm giving a 5-star rating, which is for the hotel staff, the excellent service staff. They definitely deserve praise. Oh, and the late-night sweet soup was fantastic."

Highlights: The only highlight is the decent view from the window, but it's not very useful."

The front desk staff kindly arranged a high-floor room for us, and their explanation was excellent. The bedding in the room was exceptionally comfortable and soft, and there were even six different pillow options to choose from. Hehe, it was a constantly inspiring stay! I highly recommend it to everyone!"
